I got Robin because she’s pretty, I got Ruan Mei for her legs.

If one was to listen to HSR content creators every other character is a must pull.

I figured out that the two CCs you'd cite would be Lily Aquina and Lisara aka Dreamy (despite the latter's controversy), because they were the first two CCs whose Robin's non-IPC FuA gameplays I encountered on RU-vid.

I only got her because I like her, not because I need her. For those who care about the meta, the 0 cycles, the min-maxers - basically the 5-10% of the player community - she's a tremendous, amazing addition to the team. She enables a lot of team comps and flexibility. Prydwen put her as an S+ I believe. Basically for those who already have any two Harmony out of Sparkle/RM/Bronya/SW, or those saving for future characters, or those who are financially struggling, or those who have doubts, or doesn't like her at all, then skip her.

Me over here trying to get xuyei dupes. First 10 pull is robin and bronya then the rest of my jades didnt yield a single xuyei 😢

Break will finally not be a meme effect now with Boothill and Firefly coming out. But I agree with what you said, Robin is not for the casual player, apart from the FuA teams she will require more setup and smart play to use vs RM and Sparkle

The thing is, when u see multiple creators showcase the same team comp. The tendency is, whoever had the comp showcased first imo is the relevant one. Coz why would i want to watch showcases of the same fkin team over 10 times from diff people? That just doesnt make sense. So i understand why people want to see the comp outside of FUA comp. Especially since many people, including me, does not like follow up attack characters.

Alse everyone knows Topaz, Aventurine, Ratio, Robin team is better than a team without them tell us about is Robin good with only Ratio and Aventurine? or maybe Ratio and Topaz compared to Ruan Mei?

He just yaps too much. Regardless, everyone's account is going to improve over time. So if you got/want/ didn't know and get Robin, you'll find great value in her. Your account progress will not stagnate as long as you play diligently and know the basic skills to play optimally. The difference between Mei and Robin is so minute that they can be interchangeable. Iyo is just fighting inanimate objects at this point.

I said this before with Genshin and I'd say it as well for HSR--I honestly WISH I had that kind of investment because I'd go absolutely ham in fine-tuning my account. Not to say I can't do it now, but it's definitely a huge help for someone like me that enjoys the battle mechanics (especially getting my ass handed to because I get greedy using Acheron LOL).

I came back to Honkai after a good 8 moths or so? I remember quiting because content was lacking and I came back now for the anniversary. Great content added in the meantime. Really love the mechanics an tactics behind the gameplay as I never really got into Genshin; not my type of gatcha game. But anyway no Bronya or Sparkle in my roster and while I wanted Topaz I first decided to go for Robin as I had lost the previous 50/50 and I like Move forward. So got Robin .... and then I lose my 50/50 to Bronya 😅 Really happy to have her finally but yeah ... should have immeadtly focused on Topaz because now I'm on the hunt for some serious Jade. But luckily having a ton of fun in the process 👍

I used Jing Yuan in the story boss. Everything went surprisingly well because it’s lightning weak. Plus full stack LL has the best Super Break.

I got Robin, but I have a mini-whale account and own every single limited 5 star other than Argenti. XD Though I have to cut back now cause I just lost my job this week, sigh. Hopefully doesn't take me too long to get a new one. Hopefully anyway. But at least I have Dr. Ratio, Topaz and Numby, and Aventurine to go with her. I was hoping to get Boothill e2s1, but I doubt I'll be able to now.

I use E2 Robin with E2S1 Acheron, E1 SW, E1 Huohuo. Only buy $5 monthly but have insane luck and first month player who saves/target pulls. So you're right in that hypercarry players want a high investment team and robin.

I also got this same feeling, The older your account is and the more Diversified it is (lets say you have multiple Sinergistic dps like FuA DoT or Breakers) robin Becomes more valuable because Older accounts are inherently better invested on average, a New Player can make use of robin bur won't be able to squeeze her to the max

I don’t have much FUA members like Topaz or Aventurine, but I always loved her design so I pulled. But on a strategic sense, I have the premium FUA buffer, so in case they announce I really love and they happen to be FUA I’m not held back by not having a strong buffer for them. So I guess it’s a form of investment 😅

For Robin being "Future proof" she's most likely gonna be super safe. The more dps' we get for every niche the more Dual dps teams, in my opinion, will be the go to for team building and that's the kind of team where Robin shines(outside of FUA) the same is true for Ruan Mei. Now all that's missing is a debuffing sustain and this is what your standard team would probably look like. Dps + Dps(sub) + Robin/Mei + debuffing sustain Also, this is just my opinion, Robin's action forward has more value that Mei's turn delay in this kind of set up. Dealing a second instance of damage is more valuable than delaying an enemy turn for a bit (exempt for dot teams) and That is.. if you want to clear faster. And yes there are other buffs to put in to consideration when deciding who is better but my point is Robin and Ruan Mei are basically the harmony characters dual dps teams want to have.

Robin is sure as hell next to ruan mei, problem is she is atk focused, if a character like blade is next to her her value will go down, since blade have a shitty scaling with atk, even that 50% bonus dmg is not that important if you trow out her atk bonus she gives out the window, i belive robin true pontetial comes out using FuA and dot teams, wich is very good, there are tons of characters like that, but ruan mei is still top

for me it is kinda opposite. As relatively new player no Bronya, no May etc., no relics, no cones XDD she looks extremly easy to build and use. + 50% dmg for 3 turns for the whole team - 1 sp, 20 CD, 800 + att, you also dont need almost anything special aside from ER rope, free LC. she is also doing a bit of dmg.

I'm trying crack teams right now (not cracked) so i really want solo characters mainlt for gold and gears. I'm talking baby boi Blade, dps Adventurine, sometimes Fu Xuan gets lucky and doesnt get one hit. I'm hoping Sam can also keep up or i might just stick with Acheron and Imagine Dragons

There's a creator by the name of chewyy that did a lot of testing pre release. This was with the final version of Robin's kit. Every video showcased robin outperforming ruan mei and from what myself and others can tell it's pretty legit. The team did require some speed tuning however not as much as you said. Robin had around 133 and others 150 ish. Now I say this ofc acknowledging I am not the person to discuss mechanics or anything in this game I'm sure there's nuances I might be missing but if you peek at their showcases I'm curious on your take

Btw the bronya vs mei argument, bronya an mei are different fo team comps, bronya an sparkle are for hypercarry best, an mei an robin are for multi dps teams best, so it's not a fair comparison

Man this why I love your content. You out here educating. Really important for a new player like me to not brick my account pulling for everything. Some cc named reho(?) just kept repeating "Robin is better than ruan mei. If you don't have two 5star harmonies, pull for robin" for 11 MINUTES straight.

They are going to add another mode soon that will need 3 teams. That is when Robin will be "needed". I usually pull one of each sustain and then pick the DPS that fits my playstyle.

Let's get one thing out of the way getting Eidolons isn't cheating in order to "cheat" we have to have done something that is dishonest or have obtained something in an unfair way to gain an advantage. Which nobody who spent on the game has done because whatever Eidolon they got they got it in a honest and fair way. I say this because not only did I just hear you say that but I had some fool yapping at me about how getting Eidolons is cheating and I'm like what the heck is little bear yapping about.

Have E1 Himeko, Ratio and Topaz but my 150 wishes failed to secure Adventurine 🤦🏼‍♀️ i have sparkle that i could make due with... wondering if Robin is still a worthy investment or if I should save for Adventurine's return (or debut of another FuA sustain) 🤔

Skipping Robin because I have limited pulls and I need Fu Xuan on my account more than Robin. I'm stacked with Harmony already. I have Ruan Mei, Bronya and Sparkle. I also have Silver Wolf since I see people throwing her name around in regards to Robin also for some reason. So i think I'm set on the Harmony front. I have no 5-star sustains other than Fire MC so Fu Xuan is a must-pull for me. Sorry, Robin, maybe on your re-run banner. T_T

I want robin purely because I have several decently good follow-up attackers. I am only missing topaz truly. I sadly am not a high or even med-high investment player. I want to invest more time and resources into the game, but I currently don't have the resources to do so. So i am only investing time.

What bothers me the most is lack of debuffs for that premium FUA team if you're not all into that team with Topaz / Aventurine E1s / S1s. I do not like that about HSR right now at all. When I can already get my 3 stars with 3 cycles left over it feels awful either way. I don't need the better performance for anything, so am I going to skip the next characters with fancy animations, new mechanics etc. just to tick all the synergy boxes? Absolutely not. On the other hand if you don't get the extra investments it takes away the fun for absolutely no reason. As far as I remember, Genshin has only done that with that awful Chiori C1 and that's the only case I can think of. When Eidolons / LCs unlock new mechanics, new synergies, then imho they're done right. Simple power up is fine but it's boring so it's w/e. When instead, Eidolons / LCs only make things you already have available work properly, it's just annoying and the only thing you get out of investing into that is to not be annoyed anymore. But now you're annoyed anyway because you had to skip another banner just to not be annoyed .. Yeah, imho this design is terrible. Even knowing ahead of time, I did pull both Robin and Topaz and I guess I'll see where I can use them properly, but I'm simply not getting Eidolons or LCs to fix their bad game design. Maybe the Topaz with Ratio will have to swap for an SW and Topaz will only go with Clara instead. Or another future character.

Second comment: I got Robin for future investment/alt support for my FuA teams Plus because I got her at the very start of the patch, I should have plenty of time to save for Firefly 😁😁😁😁

I like Robin, but honestly can’t see how she would help my account which is really built around Archeron team (Pela, Sw, Geppy) and Jing Liu team (Bronya, Mei, and Fu). Even for Firefly, Robin doesn’t seem better than Mei or HMC. And Archeron probably has some better support coming along to replace Pela or SW.

I have Dr Ratio and Aventurine already (though I have him as a shield bot, no sig LC) but wasn't considering a FUA team. The only reason I was considering Robin was because I don't have any of the power puff girls. So it is difficult for me to potentially skip Robin based on that alone. Even though I know from an Account value standpoint I would benefit more from any one of the power puffs or even future characters like Firefly and a character in 2.4 I would be slotting Robin (if I got her) in my JL team since they currently have Bronya and fu xuan with Lynx. She'd likely replace Lynx. But I feel like HuoHuo would just be a better Harmony to run in this team and she's probably due for a re-run at this point.

Absolutely. Bronya is one of the best low investment and Robin is worst in terms of it. Like you barely have to do anyhing to get over 40% crit damage from Bronya to the entire team.

She is really universal too, also its really not so hard, jus use her on teams an she'll do good, only times shes objectively worse is 1 hypercarry an 2 break specific unique teams li super break, besides those 2 shes equal if not better than ruan mei everywhere, shes super strong, also when it comes down to it, the mei vs robin thing, Mei you hab to build her to 1 of the few different ways of using break bu shes simpler in gameplay, whereas robin you hab everything wiou habn to build her a certain way, you jus hab to be careful abou how you do things, robin an ruan mei are equal they jus do things differently an hab different best teams, bu they are both jus as universal as each other, also she isn high investment really, you can use her at any point you jus hab to be careful

I think Robin will stay meta relavent as long as the follow up attack team stats strong. She oretty much puts it into its ideal comp. The only concerns for future follow up units is if they are able to slot into that team as well as topaz and ratio or be sutarionally better than one of them.

I still think robin is better for blade+jingliu. The only issue is getting blade to 136 spd.

tl;dr: Robin is like Imbibitor Lunae but as a support. Also her in follow up teams >>> her in other teams. Get high investment and care about a ton of synergy or else youre better off with other support units.
