I am excited for SOD and Phase 2. Especially the Shaman Tanking. But I went hard AF in Hardcore, then transitioned right into SOD on release. Now I'm feeling really burnt out with the game. I was leveling alts, and raid logging for my druid towards the end of Phase 1. It's difficult finding the motivation or drive to get into the game now. Feels bad, especially since I'm paying for the game and my guildies are out leveling me all while they are also raiding 4+ days a week on WOTLK classic era servers. idk how to jumpstart my excitement...
I’ve been playing the game for 16ish years and this is the first time where I feel a little sluggish about playing. 2019 Classic into TBC, then playing both TBC/SoM, then Wrath, HC/SOD/Era all at once.
I’m really let down come phase 2. I was hyped for phase 1 and I loved the things that changed the game. Like different classes fulfilling different roles. I was ready to discover something new. Now phase 2 is here and it’s really sad how nothing is really new. Most rubes are just either taken from retail or other expansions and thrown in after long arduous “quest” chains. They’re changing the specs to align more with their retail versions and it’s just sad. I wanted something new like new abilities and new ways the classes played. Now I’m sitting here spamming wrath and starfire again, throwing in the starsurge. It’s not very fun. If I wanted this, I’d have just gone back to retail. I want new mechanics, new ways classes play, new things that aren’t from other versions. I hope I’m not alone in feeling let down.
You are alone. We got warlock tanks, mage healer, rogue tank, and much more. The thing is those aren’t fleshed out. We aren’t gonna get more options we are going to get more fleshed out in the ways we play.
SOD actually made me leave this game week after season 2... Grinding, leveling asap to lvl 25/40, just 'ticking' the game, not playing it actually. Excluding casual players.. this atmosphere is not for regular players who are being abused by all top notch players..
@@frenziiii You are being thrown out of the ride if your gs is below a certain number, if you do not fit within the dps of the resto of the team you are abused or let me quaote 'I will not resurrect him' etc.. Really silly but I blame SOD that created this direction of not being friendly for casual players.
@@frenziiii hmm could be, I'm just a casual (November - February) player. I guess Autumn and Winter give me the play-wow mood:) Still, this time this attitude you mention totally got me.
i LOVED p1, despite people whining that it lasted so long, I was constantly able to find fun, lucrative, and new activities. My new favorite activity was fishing pvp off STV coast. Entering p2 I had kinda screwed myself. I prepped a ton, was super excited to hit 29 within an hour and start dungeon grinding, but my group fell apart and my class is much less desireable for SM spam than I had anticipated, in hindsight I would've just started questing from 29, instead I am stuck in a strange limbo at 37 with the last few levels taking marginally longer than 25-37, and killing my motivation to push 40 fast as I've "lost my lead". This is not a doomer post, I love sod, and I plan to just level/twink my alts for a bit
By the end of sod it will basically be retail gameplay. As someone who first played wow in 2006 and has only ever played classic, the game will be unrecognizable for me.
If you care for the PVP side to the game this is the worst wow has ever been. Lots of power added. Zero ability to soak it. We are all glass cannons and casting is not possible anymore.
Sod is absolutely dog. Even worse than the 1 life servers ( supposed to be hc ). It's a flop. 90% of players are bots ffs You dont see complaining because they're being paid to remove all dissent. If you start late in sod youre more behind at lvl 25 or 40 than you are in classic era lolll
@@frenziiii you've been lost, pal. When every negative post gets removed you're not wasting your time doing it for free. And blizzard needed this to be s success and can budget it.
yeah na cope harder chief, my 4th char in p1 ended up being my strongest/main, talking about "starting late at lv40" 1 week in, you sound like a child scared of fomo like it even matters, too scared to even play, and likely clueless when you do.
@@iban48 right? I started playing in p2, got to 25 pretty quickly with the 50% xp catch up mechanic, got into a pug bfd and I'm like half raid geared already. Already 30 so I'm what? 10 lvls behind the people who played 16+ hours a day or more? It's not that bad, this guy just sucks, gets ganked once and rage logs over to League or something lol
SO wow classic is a masterpiece and what the blizzard devs have done is take a big hot dirty dump and wiped it all over the game. It is so bad its unreal.
