After going hard in Wrath (i loved it btw), I have never felt so relaxed playing Cata. Going hard on heroic raids on raid night, but on my non-raiding days just completely chilling and doing whatever, and dont feel the need to plan other things in my life around the game either. This expansion has been great so far for me, loving it right now
I find that Chads have taken over Heroics in Cata. As a person who is trying to get Valor points for better gear from Heroic dungeons in the dungeon finder I have been kicked twice for low dps . The chads are doing 20k plus DPS in 359 gear , but Im doing 10K dps in a mix of ilvl333 & ilvl346 gear. So I don't have a chance to improve. Also, I had the opportunity to kick someone who was slightly delayed & gave a reason in chat. I voted No. The Kick tool is being abused.
So you’ve been kicked twice out of how many dungeons? I understand what you’re saying, I got kicked for not using Demoralizing shout on a pack of mobs (seriously). Just don’t let it get to you, or find a guild. Thanks for watching.
Try a different server. Small servers have a much different feel and are way more true to the original experiences. bloodsail buccaneers is a small PVP server that has a really good balance between horde and alliance and a small player base
Cata imo was one of the best. People like to base the entire expansion off of one raid tier (Dragon Soul) but I think the expansion as a whole was solid all around. I love casually raiding and enjoying the game again in a casual manner doing easy raids and gettin' loot. Not having to do a million things just to raid is nice.. especially for us casual dad gamers.
I missed out on most of cata/mop/wod back in the day and i must say, im loving it. much friendlier than classic/tbc/wotlk, but way less complicated than bfa onwards
There are only two camps of people. The nostalgia Lords who will be like "BUUuuuUHUT muH barrens!! 11!11!1!!!1!!1!" and those who are actually giving new things a shot. Glad someone has the guts to give the expansion that brought the most amount of QoL to the game and made Raiding and Dungeons actually hard (Looking at you Forgemaster Throngus and Halfus Wyrmbreaker...)
I enjoyed cata way back when. I'm older now and I enjoy it more than I did. Like you said, just chillin doin w/e I want on non raid days and on raid night goin hard in the paint on heroics. I'm looking forward to FL. I didn't do much DS back in the day and everyone says its terrible but, I want to see what happens with it honestly. I kinda want to see if they will bring out the lost raid in Vash but, I doubt they will.
It has also allowed guilds to become even more casual than before, if it was even possible. Being decent in a casual dads guild is literally a problem ... either you leave and find another guild, or get stuck paying 12/month and doing no-brain-normals twice a week ...
Then find a different guild. Some people enjoy logging on and doing normals with their friends because that’s all they have time for. There is nothing wrong with that. Thanks for watching.
I never had much of a chance with Cata due to being in college at the time but now I find myself playing as much as it did when I first stepped into Wrath. My only concern is if Blizzard is planning to blow through this in less than a year how short will MoP be? Because it's all downhill from there if the Classic branch is going to continue.
I think if people continue to do what they’re doing such as the fresh leveling on Deviate Delight (classic era) and such, they have no choice but to at least discuss just cycling back around. I know me, and many others would love to do TBC again. Thanks for watching.
@@frenziiiiI was all for classic vanilla, I have loved SOD but at a certain point they either go through with a classic + format or just continue with retail alone. Classic is the best version of wow in terms of “going back” due to leveling in the open world, gear progression and amount of raids. People want a version of the game in that style and not just an xpac where the goal is to get to max level and raid. They probably won’t make a classic + but it’s the only hope as opposed to rereleasing the same xpacs over again.
First time playing wow in general, I started in wrath during ulduar. And from that point of wow to now, it feels so much better with classes and game design. Even the raiding scene has to kick it up a notch and all together it feels great. That might just be me cause I never played vanilla/tbc but this version of wow feels and looks better than even. Sorry lore buffs
I was playing on whitemane, and they're one of the worst gdkp servers to be on. I quit before the raid came out. People were already spamming gdkp, selling basic equips for 300k+.
Hey man great vid! The best part for me is the alts I can have. It allows me to run more raids with more of my guild members. It's been great for our community which I feel is great for WoW! Keep making vids!
Soz but wrong straight off the bat there definitely is gatekeeping for raids. Unless you raid twice a week since release your going to have a hard time finding a group since everyones pushing heroics
I’ve had no trouble finding pugs with any of my toons with any roles. Heroics or Normals. If it’s a big issue for you, start your own normals group. Thanks for watching.
True. Direlands is an awesome patch aswell plus Cara got hate for being to long. In Cara classic with only one year for all the content you’ll probably never get bored.
i remember all the hate for cata. now that i get a chance to play it the hate is 100% unjustified... especially when the progression of the game is so so so similar to wraths progression. very identical expansions.
I think you're probably enjoying it this time around because from what it sounds like is you were too young to properly experience it the first time. Also, you're getting everything post nerf and after the bug fixes. The game was broken back in the original release. So you're getting the best version of cata possible. But I still don't like it. I don't really like tbc or wrath either. I play era and retail only. I do find it funny that they put out the 5 man heroics post nerf seeing as my guild and I back in the day had the meta achieve and the drake reward in the first 5 days after release. The 5 mans heroics were never hard, but the players were bad then, and they still are. I'v tuned into a few streams and seen wipe counters on heroic onyxia over 100 in one case. Even with guides, videos, and perfect gearing people still struggle more than guilds did back in the day. I'm personally looking forward to the guild killer rag on heroic just to watch people suffer like we did back in the day.
Great insight thanks for your comment. Also true on your comment about my age, a lot of players my age are seeing Cata as their “first time” even though it’s not, I’m 30 btw. Thanks for watching.
Cataclysm is very mid, not horrible not great. The community does make it horrible but that is not enitirely Blizzards fault. I just wish they actually reviewed tickets like in the old days instead of giving these dystopian bot generated replies that have no meaning behind them.
