"The easier you make something to drive, the less mistakes you're gonna make, the less stuff you break" That is a great saying to argument you should tune your vehicle. Kudos!

thats why I always turn of avc and all other stuff that companies help that makes driving easier. I want to feel the car and have it under control. And that you have to learn in doing small stuff and small races even at start in slower speed.

HRP the distributor for Team Corally, is licensed to provide customer service. I purchased a Punisher and a Kronos XTR. Beware their customer service is bad, very bad. They dont want to warranty the product, not only do I have the pivot ball problem that they "claimed" they had no clue about, but they are so rude. My servo went out in a month...Think they sent me out a new after sending in proof of purchase...No. They sent me a RMA, which is a return merchant authorization, and they want me to pay for shipping. Dude I'm like seriously? Yes. So not only do the pivot balls pop out, they don't provide good customer service and they're parts are hard to find. Great video.

Ppl should also have in mind that corally is a small company. Arrma always had a big partner behind them like hobbico and now horizon hobby. And it took arrma years to get the durability to the current state. I think ppl should bear with corally and be patient as they were with arrma. One year in and they already progressed to a V2 version which is definitely improved. Next year a v3 will come out which will improve the cars even more. You can't expect a new basher to enter the market and be as good or better than the cars of a company which already has years and years of experience in this segment.
@RazorRC

Agreed, Corally has done a really good job trying to address things as quickly as possible. In a weird way, they are a victim of their own success -- these trucks are getting pretty popular and people are doing crazy things with them already, much like Arrma was in the early days.

You can't expect a new basher to enter the market and be as good or better than the cars of a company which already has years and years of experience in this segment This is where I think your wrong. Corally's been building vehicles for a while now. There R&D team should have looked into Arrma"s earlier problems and said lets not do that and lets make it better. They just kicked themselves in the butt for poor quality out of the gate. If they would have done ANY research they'd be selling these like crazy.

At the moment I watch all your vidoes about team corally again and again. Gorgeous! Due to the fact that I damaged my Dementor V2.5 due to a massive divers fault from myside (also bend the chassis slightely), I'm still upgrading this stunt truck with all the 7075 T6 alloy tuning parts from Corally, its easy to get spare and tuning parts here in germany. I also had the feeling at the begining that the shocks and springs are way to soft, compared to the Talion EXB. So I followed your hint to use the Kratton EXB ones at the rear in parallel I ordered the stiffer springs from Corally. Currently I'm searching a video, how to shim the diffs right, or how to measure and adjust the right clearance between the gears. Do you have one? Cheers and keep it up. You make the most professional reviews I checked on RU-vid.

I was in my local hobby shop in the market for a 6S basher and they are big with Team Corally. I left with a Kronos V2 and loved it till I bent the rear center drive shaft. Call HS and was told the DS is not in stock and could not find one in the US. I found a full set of driveshafts parted out from a new truck. Thanks Jenny R/C. Hard to find parts in the US. Still a fun truck to rip around but won't be doing much jumping.

Hittin the nail on the head! I think the main thing with durability is actually vehicle performance. Most bashers cars go insanely fast. To fast for the car to be able to handle. My skill(or lack there of) is a personal problem. And in no way reflects the cars durability. It’s up to the user to find the cars performance limits. Keeping pushing past and your going to have issues. :)

Great video and we'll thought out points. From what I've seen I think it's a combination of a lot of things. From personal experience finding parts isn't always the easiest, springs especially. Most people aren't a fan of waiting for parts combined with the feeling of disappointment of your brand new rc not lasting as long as what IS out there. When people are already irritated and upset they're not at the most rational. You already have the tribalism of brands and the isn't corally just a knock off arrma mentality going on. You add that all up and you have a recipe for disaster. I'm of the mentality that I don't owe any brand any undying allegiance. A GOOD RC IS A GOOD RC. Competition is great for the consumer so trying new brands and giving them an opportunity only benefits us in the end as it pushes competition for better and cheaper products for us.

Understand the points you make regarding the variables when talking about durability but frankly I think they are irrelevant. You can only judge and report durability on your channel using comparisons between models which you run in the same environment in the same way. Some cars will be designed better, have better materials and therefore handle bashing better then others which you then report on, simple. Talking about peoples skill level is completely irrelevant as some will be better at driving then you, some worse so what's the point of that comment? I mostly agree with what you say and I think you have one of the best RC channels on RU-vid so please dont misunderstand me, I just found this lengthy intro to be irrelevant. Just run the cars, tell us what you observe and keep it simple as you mostly do. :)
@TheFatAssCat
@TheFatAssCat 3 года назад
I mean honestly you're talking about the differences in bashing style, skill, location etc and then decide that the pillow balls are not an issue. It's just not an issue you've had. I've personally overgeared, overheated and gone submarining both my Xmaxx and Maxx ESCs and they refuse to die, it doesn't mean they should be considered reliable ESCs. I just have gotten lucky. I do also see your bashing style is very controlled and precise, which is fairly rare. Not a single video clip of you landing a jump in any other way than flat. Like you said, if you land perfectly, expect very few breakages. It makes sense that you have issues with braces and the flexing chassis with your bashing style, as chassis slap is going to be your enemy. It's hard to be objective here. Obviously pillow balls have their limitations. But it would seem like people comparing the rate at which they pop their arrma pillow balls to their Corally pillow balls and finding the Corally pillow balls lacking are being completely fair. That said, it does seem embarrassing that people need to be reminded to replace their steering knuckles after pulling a pillow ball. A lot of folks in the Arrma groups don't seem to understand that either. Love the in depth video though, very few people go over their entire experience with breaking parts and what they have issues with. Usually it just comes up in whatever video they break something.
@RazorRC
@RazorRC 3 года назад
Good points. Yeah, the main message I was trying to get across was that you can't just break a part and come to a conclusion. There are so many factors involved, including batch to batch QC of parts, and you have to view the breakage in context with the rest of those factors. And yeah, I haven't heard of anyone changing the knuckle after the pivot ball pulls through. It should be obvious, but I don't think people are changing that part out!

On the subject of durability . Design and engineering is number 1 . These manufacturers are so greedy there is no way they are not the first factor to anything. I buy a new Arrma . Drive it 3 times in the first week . I mean try it out just rolling around. Nothing in woods or environment that is extreme. And the motor brush holder broke. Yes brushed motor going to upgrade but not yet . Not the first week I have. So I had another motor and put that holder with original brush and gave it another . Drove around and it stopped. Inspected it. Same fail mode. Brush holder broke again at same spote . So they are very well engineered for they're profits . So I was reminded why I quit the hobby 20 years ago. They lost my 20 years of business and are going to loose it again. And the RC hobby or technology and industry is killed with greed. All the effort to grow the hobby and industry in vain.

Not only that they have horrible customer service and lie to thier customers so much so they had to resend out parts to new owners for free because they suck that bad and then they fight thier customers

Razor I've never heard you use all of these reasons or excuses for other brands or models that had issues with quality or durability. I gotta say you sounded like a bad politician on this one lol.

Ha, well the first half of the video really isn't talking about TC, it's just a primer on durability that I feel like people miss the boat on. The second half is pointing out all the stuff that breaks, and like I said, I rate the TC cars below average in durability.

Arrma knock off and not even a good one. Team Corally did give me a full refund on my kronos, after it ghosted across my LHS counter almost killing us. Weak metal, hot motors, shit transmitter ($18!). Junk.
