Hi Vas, really good to see someone actually take the time to go into depth on these cars. As always you are subjective without being disrespectful to either brand. Having been an avid subscriber for many years, i'm looking forward to hearing what you think of the Team Corally cars overall compared to the Arrma ones. Are they just a cut price version you buy before buying the real deal? Great to see you putting out quality content etc. Keep safe, stay well & keep doing what you're doing fella. Take care Sean.

My first car was a 1/8th scale buggy (The Losi 8ight RTR) and it remains one of my favorite drives. I recommend people asking me where to start, and I point at the 4WD 1/8th scale buggy. Easy to drive, great handling, and a ton of fun at 2S, 3S, and 4S. Pretty easy to maintain, and not too expensive to boot!

Excellent video as always sir, thanks for this. For my own view the only feature which matters is the battery tray on all of the Team Corally models is far too restrictive. I own so many 3s packs which I could use in pairs and 4 x 6s batteries which are all 155mm long and will not fit in the battery tray Team Corally uses. So as much as I'd love to buy a Python or a Radix 6 it would mean buying all new batteries specifically to run in that one car so I'd end out paying out probably the same amount again for new lipo batteries as for the price of the car. I have bought a battery tray and receiver box from a Kraton EXB with the intention of buying a Radix 6 and fitting the Arrma battery tray but due to the location of the ESC I can tell this battery tray won't fit. The centralisation of the weight in the car is a good idea but has caused this lack of battery compatibility. If the ESC had longer wires and was mounted further back then I could run my existing lipo batteries and I'd have a couple of Team Corally models in the collection already. Shame.

The difference that jumped out to me,was the adjustability of the shock positions on the rear shock tower on the Corally.It looks like there are 4 or 5 different upper mounts on the rear and 3 positions on the front tower. The upper rear arms are also very different,with the Arrma ones being adjustable whereas the Corally seems to use fixed links.

Awesome review and look at all 3. I’m in the market for one of them I’m not sure which. Either will be a 3S Typhon for its light weight and ease of use. Plus parts are a bit cheaper for me to get in 🇨🇦 compared to the 6S Typhon. But I do like that Radix

Revisiting videos in my time off and just wanted to say a little bit.. the battery length issue is definitely something to take into consideration but from what I've seen here the greatest difference has got to be availability as in the USA the parts and models are right at our fingertips but I've never seen a corally in person! I understand it is the opposite in the UK and it begs the question, who's better off? Just like this video, I'd say it just depends on your taste . . And thanks for the vids Vas!

Thanks man. Yeah, seen the Kraton 8S EXB on Facebook, but no news as to when it will be released. Didn't know about the Typhon EXB, but if that's true, it's funny how so many are wanting an OutCast EXB and ARRMA seem to be doing everything except that. Haha.
@AussieRCPlayground
@AussieRCPlayground 3 года назад
ARRMA did say there would be EXB parts for the whole 6S lineup, so having a Typhon EXB shock tower available is not surprise and shouldn't lead to speculation that there will be a ARR Typhon EXB. Not saying it's not gonna happen, but that shock tower alone is not enough evidence to confirm that it's coming.

I know this vid is a year old and I'm sure this comment will get buried but I want to still chime in and mention that the drive shafts on the corally radix 6 are intentionally offset front and rear to assist with torque on hard accelerations. The angle of the front shaft in relation to the rear shaft, as well as the f/r axles will help deliver the power to the differentials equally preventing the buggy from torque steering.

It’s clear that from an engineering standpoint (if you can call it that in RC cars) they are different. There is however no denying that the ‘Corally copied Arrma’ claim has some ground when you look at it from a marketing standpoint. The naming convention for example Python Vs Typhon, Kraton Vs Kronos, EXB Vs XTR… I mean come on. There’s clearly some copying or at very least the sharing of the same marketing/business models going on here. The Corally is a great car no denying, and I’d love to own one but let’s not act like the copying allegations are completely unfounded. Great video and comparison though! 🤞

Although I don't disagree that sometimes cables are too long in RC cars, at the end of the day it's YOUR job to ensure the cables are safely strapped down and away from moving parts during use. I don't see how it's the car's fault for cables getting chewed up in the gears, that's your responsibility (in any RC). And yes, it has happened to me too in the past, and I certainly didn't blame the car or brand because of that. I took it as a lesson learnt, fixed it and moved on. Hasn't happened since. 😉

Imma be honest the issue with this video is that it doesn’t include the vorza flux. Anyone whose driven one knows it’s without a question the best buggy ever made. The only reason everyone doesn’t own a vorza is because people forgot it existed haha.

I disagree. The Vorza is old and outdated by comparison, so it doesn't really have what it takes to jump in the ring with new buggies. It was once a great car, no doubt, but not today. Just my opinion...

Aussie RC Playground I can completely understand it. But if I’m going to be real here, yes, I get it hasn’t been updated in 8 years. But when I’m staring at it and comparing it to my Senton 6s, I can’t find anything outdated. Like by that I mean it’s not like a slash 4x4 and how it’s light years behind something like a Senton 3s. It’s honestly the same thing just with better metal and thicker plastic with more captured screws. It just happened to come out a lot earlier. It’s really not outdated at all in my personal opinion. Long time viewer and always respect your views. I just can’t get enough of my vorza all these years later. Although mine has the old mamba monster 2 in it so I wouldn’t be surprised if the newer HW ones are a little shittier in terms of throttle response and stuff.

I have a Typhon 6s It's not very durable with awful power distribution from the factory with the standard diff oil. Very front wheel biased

The layout on the Corally breaks it for me - limits the battery size.

If Corally would have picked a different color than red for the wheel nuts and shocks, this probably wouldn't be as big of an issue. But they didnt....on purpose....multiple people had to have signed off on that. I mean come on.

good comparisons pretty fair as well. Corally lost me though with the first round of cars released total knockoffs from arrma. I know probably a chinese company and they dont care about copywrites etc. Imo anyway the typhon is way more customizable being around for longer theres alot of aftermarket support. Ive heard some say the typhon is much heavier and the corally is faster because of it but i seen them both on track and it looked fairly even. is there much difference in weight?

Both are european companies and there is no copyright on designs that have been around forever, from everyone. One example: The Kraton is a 100% clone of the MUGEN MBX6T with all parts interchangeable.

The Arrma Typhon 3s let's in tons of dirt inside the car and has plenty of unshielded bearings. Not a good combo for a long life. The Team Corally I have no idea. I own a typhon 3s

Sorry Mate, but I don't personally think that the Typhon 3S fits on that comparison!!!

This video was done in a time where everyone confused Team Corally with ARRMA and claimed they were the same car or a copy of. I did this video to simply show the differences between the two brands and decided to include the 3S Typhon purely to humor the situation and because I had it. I wanted to show that the TC cars are not copies of ARRMA despite the play on words with the name.

That was a little aggressive. . You can’t be a RU-vid creator and respond to criticism that way. You have to rise above that stuff my man.

Just having some fun. I put up with a lot of guys like this and although a lot of the time I just delete the comments and move on, sometimes I have a bit of fun and fire back.
