Have the Sommet 2021 CRX frame and custom built it up - its been absolutely brilliant, totally love the bike. It's handled absolutely everything its been thrown down and felt great on the climbs too. If anyone is looking for a great enduro rig, you wouldnt be disappointed with a Sommet at all.

Great review video. Like you say, I cant believe how playful and poppy a long travel bike can be while still feeling so planted when you need it to be. It’s magic I tell ya 😂
Following your initial review, I bought a sommet crx frameset. (No bikes available). Did a custom build lyrik ultimates, xt groupset and brakes and hope wheels. These bikes are awesome. Completely changed my riding!
If I'm right, the rattling if your fidlock bottle on the underside of your toptube, I had the same problem, you can turn the mount around on the bottle using an Allen key and then if you turn the mount around on the bike it gives you more clearance to the top tube :)
Yes your exactly right! Its been bugging me recently and I keep forgetting til I’m out riding. Was gonna stick some glazing tape on it 😅. Yours sounds a better solution! Thanks I’ll do that!
I have the older Sommet CRX and a fiddlock bottle that rattled the same way, so I turned my mount upside down. Was gonna suggest you that, but someone alredy did
Would you still recommend it over yeti, pivot, evil or ibis bikes? Vitus is not a known brand here in America however what you get for the price is really good!!
It’s a solid bike, equally as capable as the other big brands and one of the popular choices for racing/riding with UK riders. I think they just recently launched in the US in the past year which is why it’s newer there. Yeah the value for money on the specs are insane! One of the things I love most about it
Yeah the grip levels are higher on the racing line I find. I haven’t seen much noticeable difference in resistance on climbs too so always go for for this over the regular one
Hi there looking at buying same rig as yours but im between sizes small and med im 5ft 6 inch see your on a small what height are u would u say it feels like a small or more like a med thanks martin
Hi it’s a tough call when between sizes. I’m 5ft 5 and the small is ideal but I’m at the top end and if I was any taller I’d want a medium. The small feels a fairly regular small and the seat tube isn’t too long so you’d probably struggle with getting a long enough dropper in the frame for your height on the small I reckon. Personal preference tho! Hope that’s helps 👍
I’m 5 ft 5 and small is perfect for me - I’m on the top end of that size. I’ve been a small in other bikes too and find the sizing fairly standard in this. Hope that helps!
