make your glaze with powdered sugar, vanilla extract, a teenie pinch of salt, a little bit of melted butter, and instead of water use milk. It's not exact but its really good and much better than powdered sugar and water.
Bzzzzt. Sorry, wrong answer. I used to deliver for KK and have had the doughnuts before glazing and glaze straight from the bucket, and they're both awful. The secret is these little bottles of liquid donut crack for the glaze that have vanilla, something marshmallowy and a few other flavors I couldn't identify (anise? Almond? not sure) the bottles were unmarked to keep things proprietary, I suppose.
Krispy Kerman donuts are absolutely the BEST. No question about it, I turned on to them while going to college in Nashville and we’d make the journey religiously everyday
I was a production specialist and the glaze ingredients was 2 bags of 40lbs Refined sugar and a cub of stabilizer (yes it’s a lot of sugar) and it’s hard as hell to keep up with hot light Especially when you’re the only one doing em!! Cleaning the machine was hell though all for Minimum wage was not worth it at all
Krispy Kreme donuts are the best only topped by their super employees. I don't know how the company manages to find the nicest sweetest people in every town. I love them!!
3:01 yes sir! Hallelujah! The best donut i have ever tasted. None of the other chocolate filling, chocolate toping, or fruits or whatever else even comes close to the classic glazed kk donut
When I worked at Dunkin’ Donuts, about 50 years ago, we made them fresh. 52¢ for two donuts and an endless cup of coffee. That includes any tax .... but I do not think there was a tax then on food.
I had this doughnut straight off the conveyer belt , no glaze . It was f***king fantastic! Not bland at all . To recreate this recipe the exact same way is quite a quest ...
That’s me. I’ll get a chocolate donut from KK and then, specifically, an iced latte with 3 pumps of caramel and 1 on whipped cream, from DD. My friends think I’m stupid
Due to the effects their donuts have on our brains, my bro and I call it Krispy Krank. The anticipation while in line, the short lived satisfaction, and the desire to want more is similar to the events a drug addict endures to get a fix.
You must!! When the first one opened in Southern California, the line was wrapped around the building. There was an hour wait an nobody got out of line. It was well worth the wait.
I had my first krispy Kreme donuts 3 days ago and I remember making a tweet about how delicious, soft and the texture of the donut beats dunkin donuts by centuries. Now i now why and from now on when i think if donuts Krispy kreme is the only way to go.
the trick is the yeast they use and the machines which form the donuts add air to make the donuts soft and melt in your mouth at high temperatures. its not easy to replicate at home but you'd be able to make equipment to do something very similar if you really wanted...but then you might as well open your own donut shop with the high investment cost!
The donut shop in Lakewood Wa. On Gravelly Lake Dr. Makes better donuts than Krispy Kreme. When I lived in Lakewood, I used to go every Sunday a.m. and they would make me some without the glaze. They would call me when they were ready and I'd drive over and get them. YUMMMM
My local Krispe kreme that was only like 20 minutes from my house closed probably 10+ years ago. That was the last time I really felt anything. Closest one now is about an hour away. I’ve made the drive before and having the donuts less accessible does make them more special, it’s just unfortunate how far out of the way I need to go.
I've had Krispy Kreme Doughuts hot and cold and my stomach hates all of them, I think is the oil they cook them in. But if you enjoy them good for you.
I noticed if I eat half dozen or more, the after taste is terrible. Perhaps its the bicarbonate or something like that in it where it has a fizzy after taste.
Years ago. I put my cousin on a plane to go home to Boston. We had to make a run to Krispy Kreme for 2 dozen for her mom. Dunkin is ok but KK is far better.
I'm surprised Mashed didn't get into Krispy Kreme's history of problems: overexpansion, restaurants that left the "hot fresh" light on all the time, bad management, etc. It also has a pretty good comeback story in the last few years.
About 25 yrs ago they opened a few Krispy Kreme donut stores in Indy and they were busy but who ever owned them closed them and had the donuts shipped in from a central cooking facility, now we get the donuts from god nowhere and set in a grocery store or gas station convenience store for about a week looking at the sell by date.
I love Krispy kream donuts. Too bad they closed the only store on my side of town. Now the closest one is about 40 miles or 50, miles away. Approximately.
Aight my guys hear me out. Krispy Kreme donuts, combined with dunkin donuts coffee. They’d be UNSTOPPABLE. NO ONE could EVER compare. They could conquer the WORLD.
There aren't many treats that are better than hot Krispy Kreme's and a cup of coffee. I wish they would go back to the maple iced with chopped peanuts... those were DELICIOUS TOO !!
The problem with Krispy Kreme is some of us who like glazed donuts also like chocolate, maple, and even PLAIN donuts without glaze on them. Otherwise Krispy Kreme is ok. I have tasted other glazed donuts that taste just as good, are bigger and cost less.
#1 Krispy Kreme, #2 7-11, #3 Dunkin donuts, #4 Entenmann's. Once the mom-and-pop local bakery made the best donuts; but they have all become obsolete ‼️🍩🍥🍩
They closed here in Reno because they made them available everywhere! But when they closed they had contracts with the 7/11 still. So for over a year they had to fly fresh doughnuts in from Vegas to Reno every day and 2 times on weekends. It cost them millions from what I heard lmao
Krispy Kreme is nice if you have it every once in a while, because if you eat a lot, you kinda just get sick of them because of all the sugar. It’s a unique donut that you crave sometimes though. And they have to be fresh so they melt in your mouth, once they get cold they taste absolutely disgusting. For my daily donut, I found a local small business that makes them even better than Krispy Kreme, they melt in your mouth when fresh, but they still taste amazing even when they get cold, and they are not overloaded with sugar so you don’t really get tired of eating them. Donut perfection. But I do crave a Krispy Kreme donut sometimes because it punches you with sugar which is a good feeling sometimes.
KK doughnuts are a unique type. Th dough is lighter n you can eat more of them n not have a belly ache. They are usually only found i a larger community n not in rural areas
When even my dog sees that light 😂 Then we are right of! Hes like my little crispy cream reminder but im not saying he can only do that. Shout out mate, love you and crispy creams😂 💖
These donuts are unbeatable by a country mile, I pay over £8 for 6 here in the uk 😂, considering from Tesco you can get 12 of their donuts for under 2 pound, these Are ABSOLUTELY worth the extortionate price, go through a box a week atleast 😂
