At first I thought this was an accusation of Stevie, but I see now. You’re 100% right. Whether they knew it or not, the talent that was natural was almost certainly pissing for the roid junkies. And it was definitely engineered by Vince to protect his talent. That actually makes a lot of sense.
Maven said, in his channel, that someone from WWE approached him and asked something along the lines of "ask around about the doctor that prescribes that new creatine" to code telling him to get on the gas
It'd be funny if he approached the doctor and he was actually selling Creatine. "Steroids? Are you fucked? No man I just prescribe Creatine. Fucking degenerate"
He was busted before remember, quite a few were at the one time, the "prescription scsndal". Orton being in the shape he's in considering he's older I'd be extremely suprised if he isn't.
@@garrymclaughlan6433 I actually think there is a genuine medical need as well so I have no issue with it, just hope it helps and he doesn't overdo it, then suffer the consequences.
More than 300 for some, star performers have leverage and or others revenues like to request not performing house shows, like Brock. I'm surprised the way Vince handle Orton request, forgetting his time in WWE. I don't judge, in the same situation, I would act the same, probably worse!
Hulk Hogan, The Rock, John Cena, Batista, Triple H, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, Ultimate Warrior, Scott Steiner, Lex Luger, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio, Edge, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Goldberg, Davey Boy Smith, Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam, Big Show, Roman Reigns, Kevin Nash. Want another 25? I could list hundreds.
I don't think Shawn or Jeff ever took steroids. Edge admitted to taking them without hesitation during an interview. The rest of your list is spot on though.
I think by this time we already know or have a 99% idea of who was on gear. You could effortlessly tell just by the physiques. When I think “juice” I automatically think Scott Steiner, Luger, Hogan, Warrior and The Warlord.
Once again Stevie..... BAM! OUT OF THE PARK GRAND SLAM! I'm lovin' the channel more and more with each new episode!! As long as you keep em' comin', I'm gonna be watching!! 💯💯 Appreciate ya Stevie! ML&R!👊
When I played DI college ball, and this has been over a decade ago so things may have changed, but I was told by a player coach (an assistant assistant who just got done playing for that school) that drug tests were like academic tests: only stupid people failed. I'm not saying this is a good saying, but gives you a clue into the world of collegiate (and you know its worse at the pro level) sports.
My guess the reason why Liv wasn't really punished for her arrest. Is that she complied with the officers. Every answer she gave to the cops ended with a sir or ma'am. She didn't try playing the "do you know who I am" game. Also when asked about any drugs in her jeep she told the truth. The body cam footage is on you tube. I watched it. The footage also confirms that (at the time of her arrest) she was dating Bo Dallas.
The Ugandan giant kamala addressed this in his classic song push it and pull it where he shot on the industry. "your whole drug test's a scam. You let who you want pass." 😅
Another great episode with Stevie giving a lot of insightful perspectives. An overlooked aspect of wrestler wellness is addressing pain pill abuse (a bigger and more dangerous problem imo) and giving the wrestlers enough time to rest...say, even an offseason to give their bodies a chance to heal. Both those arguably contributed to early wrestler deaths more than gear (though steroids certainly don't help).
I never did Roids but I was a OxyContin addict now I’m on methadone and my testosterone levels just tested out a 2.2 and my free testosterone is at only 40 that’s insanely low and I’m 33 I was actually just prescribed testosterone and I can tell u with such low doses u feel like complete shit depressed u gain weight your tired all the time no matter the amount u sleep it’s brutal to be so low I can’t weight for my levels to level off will take some time but I’m looking forward to it to be honest
All athletes have an enlarged heart as it is a muscle like any other. GH in fact on a big enough dose for a long enough time enlarges ALL organs except for the brain
I thought you was smart Stevie? They tested you because they got the numbers and new you would pass. You passing helped the company look like it was thoroughly testing because it's anonymous
The whole "I never failed a test" thing... Man what do you expect a guy to say when you ask him on camera if he's committing several felonies... It's why I'll never understand people asking that shit to Dwayne or Cena, like yeah of course they're juiced to the fucking eyeballs but like also don't ever admit to your crimes, ffs.
wtf, i always thought the distribution is illegal because its a medical product with serious implications, but taking it, is a felony?? Damn bro, land of the free amirite
@@LiftandCoa Purchasing the quantities of a controlled substance they would have is absofuckinglutely a felony. You then also have carrying those controlled substances across state lines, and if they're feeling particularly cunty they could probably get them on a couple of other things besides.
Looking at most of the Gladiators back in the 90s here in the UK they at looked like they were on something to help them, Warrior, Shadow who was on roids and famously known for his deadly attacks on Duel. Hunter, Ace, Hawk, Rhino all of them looked like jacked up the gills or on something.
I've heard stories of people who didn't properly cycle off steroids and got into a situation where they have to stay on it because their body stopped naturally producing Testosterone
As soon as you take a shot, your body stops producing its own testosterone. The longer you stay on the longer it takes to switch back on. Age plays a huge factor too
Also estrogen blocker is used in TRT to block over production of estrogen. As you boost your test your estrogen goes up also and gives you man boob's and crap like that
@@Steven-rp8zo well, was he successful in the WWE really? Also, he is one example, not the norm. In general, wrestling and mic skills are secondary when you have the look
That’s not entirely true. How many great looking wrestlers have come and gone? No, it’s mic skills first. Looks second. In ring skills third. The big 3: Rock, Austin, Cena - all have great mic skills and great looks but are extremely lackluster in the ring. Austin and Cena have even admitted that they weren’t great in the ring. Roman is another great example. He has 5 moves, a great look and a mouth piece in Paul Heyman. LA Knight is a great example too. Great mic skills, great look and lackluster in-ring ability. It’s almost the formula to being THEE GUY 😂 you can’t have great mic skills, a great look and great in-ring abilities and expect to appear on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Look at Seth Rollins for instance. He’s great on the mic, has a great look and is great in the ring. He has never and will never reach the heights Roman has reached the same way Shawn never reached the heights Rock and Austin reached despite being able to wrestle circles around both of them at the same time.
It is unfortunate that these substances were pushed onto talent. Even though it may not have repercussions immediately, it is often the case that P.E.D.s lead to long-term complications. I would argue that the industry has lost many people due to the abuse of P.E.Ds. Kudos to you, Stevie, for sticking to your values.
Journo: Savage, did you take steroids? Randy: Yes. It sucks, dont recommend. saying that is SO much more helpful than denying all wrong doing despite being the "biggest and fittest" in your lifewhile going straight towards 60, hmm?
When I was juicing I took an estrogen blocker because generally when your testosterone starts to rise, your estrogen tends to Which can cause a lot of unwanted side effects, the most famous being man boobs (gynoclamastia) I'm not saying you do, because I have no idea and it's just something to look into You went through a harrowing health scare with your spine. It is possible this caused some type of trauma and that can lead to memory problems which will compound with your brain injuries I'm not saying it happened. Everyone has different experiences and handle things differently. That may not even be a thought in your head It just may be something contributing to being a little confused on dates
i don't think i agree that the juice doesn't help in professional wrestling. it MAY improve performance but it certainly improves the look of a wrestler which is a big component of the business. i mean i don't think hogan, sid, scott steiner, warrior, etc would've been as big or maybe even noteworthy if not for the physique they were able to obtain from "artificial sweeteners"
I absolutely disagree that management should have a moral obligation to get into your personal life. And that example of the splash doesn't count because that's on their TV show and includes other employees
When I started training I would get offers to pee for wrestlers. $200-300 for clean. Piss in a condom the day of the test. The wissinador worked brother. I couldn't believe people asking for pee.
Baseballs ddrug policy is a joke too. For instance I played in the minors and I was chosen for every single "random" drug test as I was a known non-drug user and not a bonus baby. Every single bonus baby on the team was doing weed, coke, speed and more. Yet somehow during random tests they never got tested, weird huh?
Not every talent got tested the way Stevie did. In fact, he probably got tested so often because they *knew* he was going to pass. They tested 10-20 talent weekly, and some that management knew were less likely to pass were tested way less. Remember the policy wasn't mandated, it was put in effect by WWE. They have a vested interest in covering their own ass (like any other company), so they helped their testing quota with "good eggs."
Yep. I chalk it up to PR. They can come out and say we've done 200 drug tests this year... But 104 of those were Stevie and Doring, then found a couple other guys who didn't do anything and tested them weekly.
I understand why interviewers and reporters continually ask these questions. But people need to understand that it's a dick move! What are effectively asking them is to admit to criminal activity. (Not that it's always criminal, but in many cases it is). On the other hand, no one ever got sent to jail for lying to a reporter 😂
If Brock was tested positive for Clomid and nothing else then it sounds like he was tested during his pct (post cycle therapy) as esteogen needs to be kept under control while testosterone levels drop
Its all a matter of opinion. Im old school so i like in ring work. Arn anderson, bobby eaton, vader...if you like talkers you can have hogan, nash, cena etc.
If you watch the show then there is the more podcast format shows and then also the video based format where stevies techie side comes out with a fancy video breakdown that need the visual elements
I gave every comment a thumb up, except this one. I am the first to do so, what an awesome accomplishment, nobody ever did that before. I'm really proud of myself now.
Employer's can use random tests as a way to get rid of employees. I remember working in an office with a guy who barely did anything and distracted everyone around him. The company followed every procedure that they could think of to find a reason to get rid of him. He technically didn't break any rules. They finally made him take a "random" test and he tested positive for marijuana. I have worked for that company for a long time and have never heard of anyone else being "randomly" tested.
Pro sports is acting as well. Its all scripted. We are not gonna continue to believe it isnt. Just look at the NFL story lines. Mahomes, Taylor Swift Kelcey pfizer guy.
People like to say this to absolve themselves for enabling it. If you have to kill yourself with PEDs to compete for something, then it is a problem. People are always in competition, whether it's organized sports or not.
@@JamesS805statistically steroid users live longer lives lol. Google it. Steroid users usually eat healthier & lead more active lifestyles than the average person hence the longevity difference.
I’m 5 foot six and was 145 pounds cut up with muscle and people thought I was 175 pounds and I’ve been accused of taking steroids plus that was my natural body type without being a gym rat. Oh yeah and I’m a black man.
