Welcome to another transformative video on managing tinnitus. Join Frieder, the founder of My Tinnitus Club, as he delves deep into the realities of living with tinnitus and how you can achieve significant relief. Born deaf in one ear and battling severe tinnitus for 15 years, Frieder shares his personal journey to full habituation. In this enlightening video, he dispels common myths about tinnitus treatments, emphasizing that true relief comes not from external remedies but from changing our internal responses.
Frieder discusses the psychological impact of tinnitus, highlighting how fear, panic, and anxiety often exacerbate our perception of the sound. He challenges the notion that quick-fix solutions like sound therapy, herbal remedies, or restrictive diets can provide lasting relief for most people. Instead, he advocates for a mindset shift and introduces Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as powerful tools for managing tinnitus-related distress.
If you've been struggling with tinnitus and seeking sustainable relief, this video offers invaluable insights and practical strategies. Frieder invites you to join the global community at My Tinnitus Club, where weekly coaching sessions and comprehensive courses are tailored to help you move from a state of discomfort to acceptance and peace. Thanks. Yes your right, it feeds off your fear. Your emotional reaction to it. Your beliefs > Avoidance behaviours > Constant checking and measuring of it will come down when your fear/emotional reaction to it lessens? It seems Tinnitus is quite common? Hope you get well soon.

Honestly, I haven't gotten used to it for a year and a half. If it were stable tinnitus I would agree, but what about non-stable tinnitus, mine is like a high frequency laser sound that changes every second, that's just one of them. How to get used to it.

Oh I know how you feel the tinnitus I have had since 1998 did habituate after a good few years but then on came a new sound in 2014. I had a lot of grief losing my.mum, sun and brother in a space of three years I was grief struck and cried so much a new noise came on and for 10 years it has gradually worsened. I have vibrations in my body which aggravates the tinnitus somehow I can hear the rumblings in my body. It is worse on movement. I do sympathise with you. I have a lot of nerve pain in my neck too. I have hearing loss to and all I hear is the tinnitus. So distressing. I try to be calm with it and ignore it. I find it I am engrossed in conversation with a friend on social media it disappears . I know I focus too much on it. Oh Lord please find us a cure. 🙏

@@wilmaduncan7070 Yes, I have about 4 tinnitus, this laser and another morse code are not stable. My life changed everything, I gave up having children because of this, my career came to a standstill, I can't think about anything else for 80% of the day. And the worst part is that science knows very little, my cause is a mystery. My hearing is "normal". Severe sinusitis was the trigger, we don't have tests to actually see the structures inside the ear, MRI helps very little. I'm going to make a TENS device to try to improve. In cases of hearing loss, unfortunately, little can be done yet, in other cases I believe something can be done, waiting for Susan Shore's device may help.
