Teddy was big in one because of the accident in 1982, He was ready for superstardom in the beginning of the 80s but obviously the car accident cut that short. Also with he group Harold Melvin and the blue notes, he sang lead on wake up everybody which touched on social issues..But I agree with you Marvin had abit more depth and obviously a bigger catalogue as he started his career before Teddy .

Teddy was alleged to have had his manager/ex girlfriend killed over some money issue (even Jesse Jackson alleged Teddy had her killed) and slept with every man's wife. Allegedly the woman who was with Teddy and the trans passenger the night Teddy had his car "accident" was basketball legend Julius "Dr. J" Erving's wife.
