I think Sae took the opportunity that Rin's interest in football presented to reel in his mindset, especially since their parents mention that Sae was also acting weird in response to Rin's actions. Sae probably saw this as the perfect way to keep Rin's impulses limited to the field instead of anywhere else in life.

“End of destruction” So a lot of things to say. First of all I’ll just share what I think the author has set up for all of isagi’s rivals in this arc for the future. It will be pretty long this time (even longer than my usual comments) so bare with me. It will be easier to read it in the computer or laptop so do use that. Well it’s just my thoughts but I think the author is basically tying up the fate of all the rivals of isagi’s with each other with barou/kaiser and rin/nagi. I’ll explain the barou/kaiser first. Barou and kaiser are being set up to go through the same thing mick went through. There is a reason why Kaneshiro made kaiser share a lot of things with barou such as their awakenings, their titles, their mannerisms on how they approach things, etc and it all ties back to mick (Snuffy’s friend). The second kaiser embraced his “piece of shit” self instead of “being able to be loved” he basically doomed himself for life because now unlike before he will NEVER be able to satisfy himself until he becomes the best in the world and let’s be real kaiser becoming the best is never gonna happen. He even had spiral eyes after he scored his goal this match indicating that *this* is his og ego. So even if he realizes that this approach is wrong he will NOT change it no matter what. So kaiser is literally has become mick here because mick as well was never satisfied if he didn’t achieve what he wanted. Also remember what mick used to call himself? "A Genius Chosen by God" and what is kaiser called as? "Gods Chosen Emperor". On top of that when kaiser made his wish to be loved, he did it under a shinning moon and mick's surname is also moon so you can already see the obvious connection the author is making between mick and kaiser. As for barou, in the recent light novel about him it was revealed that a similar thing to mick had happened to barou’s father as well where barou's father had suffered an injury just like mick(And yes the Light Novels are Canon). We can also see just how much barou is similar to mick (I legit thought that mick was barou's dad when I first saw him lol 😂) So in short I think Both kaiser and barou will go through the same stuff that mick did with kaiser not being able to achieve the results that he wants and barou suffering an injury. Both will be in utter despair and the lowest point of their lives but I see only barou being able to get back up. Barou already knows what happened to mick and his father, barou has his friends with him so he is loved, barou has snuffy as well to guide him properly. Even in ep Nagi a tarot card predicted that barou will suffer a problem in the future but if he is able to endure it then he will be able to rise back up. Barou has all the knowledge and support that mick lacked So I’m not worried about barou. Kaiser on the other hand the second he accepted his “piece of shit self” instead of “being loved” and scored that goal he basically doomed himself to go down mick’s route. Now He will never be satisfied with anything other than being the best just like mick, just like how mick pushed snuffy away kaiser pushed ness away so kaiser has no one to love him anymore and unlike barou who has snuffy kaiser has no one to guide him properly. So kaiser is literally all alone (even in his recent goal celebration he celebrated it all alone) and THATS what finally broke mick, which is no one being there to support him at his lowest. So I would not be suprised if kaiser actually ends up doing the same thing mick did in the end (if you know what I mean). It would actually be the best case scenario if all Kaiser does is retire in the end. (Just to make it clear this point about kaiser and mick was brought to my attention by a blue lock youtuber known as "The wise" while I was talking with him on his Discord. So this part is credit to him.) As for Nagi and rin, I think it’s being set up for them to face the same thing which is fulfilment but in opposite ways. For Nagi he lost to isagi and hence he kept trying to chase after him to beat him. Once he did beat isagi he lost all his motivation, but the thing is it’s only temporary. Nagi beating isagi wasn’t really his true nature, it was simply a temporary goal that he had set for himself. So once Nagi does a soul searching (as barou advised) he’ll rise back up eventually. Unlike nagi who wanted to beat Isagi, Rin on the other hand *wants* to be beaten by Isagi. He wants to fight someone amazing with everything he’s got, putting his life on the line and then after being defeated he just wants to die. But unlike Nagi I don’t think it’s gonna be a temporary one, I think it will be a permanent one because that’s literally Rin’s ego and from the way he said it this chapter it seemed like a one time thing as well (meaning no rebirth or anything like that) So in short I think the author has set up both kaiser and Rin to fall down while barou and Nagi will rise up in the future. That’s my thought. (Also I am really glad that barou's fate was tied to kaiser and not rin or nagi otherwise my king would've been COOKED) Annnnd there you have it.
