I wonder if Honda is watching..... Anyway, Message my on IG if you're in NJwould like to try the water. (Hopefully we service your area) Instagram: arcticfreshwate...
Who thinks Honda is watching? Are they sweating right now if I reach 1 million miles? 😂 Message me if you want to CHECK OUT OUR WATER: instagram.com/arcticfreshwater?igshid=MzNlNGNkZWQ4Mg%3D%3D
@@Imleocalm I did. I gave Honda several updates as my car approached a million. I've been told that Honda has had some management changes over the years and the new people don't care much about owner stories. Either way, I wish you luck on your journey. You're getting close. By my count, I'm one of 12 Hondas that hit a million. There were a couple stories of ones really close, but never public confirmation they hit it so I assumed they did. No Acuras, but likely 12 Hondas have hit it.
@@txaccord Sad news for me then. Maybe only three first person with that model gets a car 😆. (In doing some serious wishful thinking at this point 😅). Thanks for watching! Here
@@Imleocalm oh man, so close I think you have to try! Honda would probably give you a new car if you hit a million miles with it's 1.5 turbo L15 engine
Keep up the good work supporting our healthcare. I am glad I saw your latest video after watching your previous Scotty bait haha. I would watch water delivery I need a side gig.
That is amazing. I wish Scotty Kilmer could see this. He is always talking about how the new turbo honda engines will not last. I would love to hear what he has to say about this.
@Imleocalm From what you said in your videos, You get your oil changes done at the Honda dealer. Honda dealerships Do Not use Honda Genuine for their oil changes.
Hey man I was a medical currier back in the day. Used to drive blood and x-rays....hows your whip going? I have a 2017 Civ with 207k on it. I change my own fluids. Can you let me know your secrets for maintenance? MY car had some issues of late had to replace drive shaft. Turbo blew at 199866 but I replaced it because I love the crv.Keep the videos coming.
Wow! Yeah Medical Courier is demanding of cars. Maintenance secret is spend the money if you have it, and use the don't beat on it. The final secret is its manual. Thanks for watching and good luck! 😁
Imleocalm said on his other video that the turbo only kicks in at 3000RPM during eco mode and 2000RPM during non-eco mode. That means he's using the car always in eco mode, thus less turbo usage. Does that mean you are not using eco mode, and therefore the turbo gets used a lot. And how much did it cost to replace the turbo? Thanks in advance
Rather not say publicly, but try cbdriver online. Sign up to them. It's very State dependant. Thanks for watching! Start here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yvBcZZaiWSo.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pWtPvRZ6ccQ.html
Hello I have some questions for you First have you done a carbon clean? Have you done a valve adjustment? When do you change your oil and oil type? And what can I do to make my 1.5 civic last? Thanks
Lasting is subjective. Last how many miles? 400,00k miles? Maintenance, don't beat on the car, and hope for the best. Some cars just come off the factory line disturbed. Thanks for watching! 😁
Have you done a valve adjustment? Honda says to get it done at 105k miles but my macanic says not to do it cause the seals can move or something and the car will start burning oil. He says to wait for the check engine light or until I hear strange sounds.
It’s true! Newer Civics still last up to 700,000+, but the 2016-8 Civics with the 1.5 liter turbo engines are the ones that have oil dilution problems. Gladly, Honda fixed it with the 2019 year.
oil dillution happens in any direct-injected car. it is by design, and the only way to get rid of gas in oil is to drive for longer periods of time with the engine at operating temperature. if i drive in the city or just start the car and stop it i can smell gasoline when i check the oil. once i drive tens of miles and check it again, the smell is gone.
@@JohnS-il1drI’m glad mine still holding on because I’m soon to work far then I’m soon to be a college student I’m on between an accord exl hybrid or a tesla performance or maybe ionq 5 n if my accord cause major problem. Today I drove to the place I’m soon to work at i drove 28 miles today and for college if I go to other college is 43 miles away so I’m hoping it’ll last longer but I do maintenance regularly because my dad he is a mechanic when it comes to cars he knows what he doing not like most mechanic.
@@golemmfg2289 Honda Genuine is 0w-20. Also, he changes it like every 3 weeks....so the same might not apply to most users who change by a longer period of time, and not by miles.
🤞it's the original head gasket. I'm aware of the head gasket info and the oil dilution. Not sold on the faulty head gasket. I'd need some maintenance info. Thanks for watching! 😁
lol, two people have blown head gaskets on the internet, without showing if they are tuned and how they were maintained, and now idiots act like blowing head gaskets on the 1.5T is the norm. This guy has 728k miles. If head gaskets were actually an issue, this car would have been through 4. People who don’t have issues don’t post about it on the internet.
@@Aaron-eb2cd out of how many MILLIONS of 1.5Ts? You guys don’t understand how statistics work and it’s fucking embarrassing. The accords also are the ones that are likely to be tuned and of course that’s going to result in bad shit happening to the engine.
@@areallytallguyyup my accord is 1.5 stock own for 2 year now I’m about ranking up 46k miles only problem I had is electrical issues I don’t know why though it odd for me 😂.
My situation was based on who i knew. You can become a courier as an employee ( quest, labcorp) or independent (very difficult). Thanks for watching! 😁
Your miles are highway miles whith the engine is basically idling all the time so by the data highway miles are 70% to 80% less wear than city driving whith makes alot sense so when you reach 1 million it would be basically 200k to 300k miles whith is not alot anyway. Driving highway the way you do you should expect at least 1.5 million miles, it will be impressed if you reach 2 million but for now it's just average compared to city driving. Go drive ubber and let's see if it can last 300k miles, I have a friend that did reach 300k miles on his 2018 civic only city driving, 2 transmissions replaced a couple head gasket but no engine rebuild yet so let's see
I never hear about medical couriers that put on 1 million miles on their car getting to retire early from their jobs. You guys spend so much money on maintenance and gas, that it just eats up your paycheck. You had better be a mechanic, so you can do your own repairs yourself, because just all the parts are so expensive. Your supposed to replace your water pump and thermostat and timing belt every 100,000 miles. I think it is best to get a high paying job, where you don't have to use your car for it. I have enjoyed your journey, but I really worry about you dude and don't want to see you go broke.
Admittedly the industry is tough, and maintenance is crazy. Appreciate the wise words and journey has just began. Interesting things on the way. Please stick around and most importantly! Thanks for watching! 😁
Hey 1.5 turbo Honda Civic 2017 with 200K Strick 10K service and I am like my car is my income, but this car is very good and also very shit. It seems like good engine, good transmission auto, but the rest is not so good. Interior quality is rattling rubbish, door trims the rubber is just pushed into place to seal what rubbish, infotainment system works, or it don't. Front tyers wear out quickly. Really, you're still going to get better value from a Toyota in the long run then a Honda as the Honda is far from perfect as I own one. I'd say spend more and buy a Lexus for true quality and reliability. Happy to be proven wrong. Cheers
