#ZZZ #ZenlessZoneZero Zenless Zone Zero has released this is an early game review to tell you the truth is it worth your time what is good about the game and what is an issue #ZZZ #ZenlessZoneZero
@@vrika4280m1 mashing dmg sponges, the enemies barely move and it's extremely forgiving. Even against bosses you don't feel like there's much threat, very sluggish enemies. Also very simple and surface lvl kits,, there isnt that much combat and when there is, it's meh
@@stalkinghereandthere Hmm ok, thank you! I did notice on some footage the enemies just stood there, I thought they might be stunned, or they where in like practice area of something. Also I really don't want to do that tv stuff.
I played this game for like 4 hour. The TV simulation was main reason to unstall this game . I agree with your point combat feels basic its more of switching characters. And my question is why we cant se our pulled character in outside of the combat mode . This game is 50+ gb on pc and this is a zone based game by the way. PGR also a zone based game and its half of the this game size . But the character dilogue and story are really good ❤
@@Sirnaghost I liked the TVs imo, but combat is equivalent to wuthering or genshin in terms of difficulty and complexity imo. Wuthering just has aspects that make it engaging
Zenless has a pretty popular release and the reviews across the board seem pretty good. I like ZZZ and I don't find the TV system boring at all. I think all the popular Gachas out right now bring something fun to the table including ZZZ. I honestly don't doubt that this will be another hit for Hoyo.
coming from someone who spend 5 hours in the game, felt like it would become a hit down rather than a hit up. but the design is cool enough for me to enjoy it
i feel the same way, especially regarding the tv system. Having played in the cbt2/3 i globally understand the way it works and find it more amusing than how i initially felt about it. In my opinion, i think the more you play, the better it gets, unlike genshin that gets less amusing with time. (friendly reminder, it’s my opinion, coming from a long term and diehard hi3 player)
The game will be chilling next to Arknight or maybe Hi3 in terms or revenue after first patch. But I'd say its overhated and overhyped at the same time by 2 different groups. I blame hoyo for this, because they promoted it as combat focused game with a high skill sealing when its not. Its a casual, feel-good game for casuals to button mash and make them feel like they are good at the game.
Here's the thing, I don't like the TV system either, but I think it's only a symptom of a larger problem with the game: the flow. When I sit down to a game I like a fluid experience for the most part, and especially with a the 'main gameplay loop', so, using something like diablo or PSO as an example, I'd load into the game and have unbroken gameplay until I finish a whole area (or even longer) and even then the break is only for a loading screen or, if we're looking at something longer like a trip back to town, then that will also be a fluid experience and also considerably shorter than my gameplay experience in the 'main' loop of the game. In ZZZ the flow is broken constantly and it feels like I spend an insane amount more time out of combat in each play session than I spend in it. Each fight has a little intro, an outro (WIPEOUT!) to bookend it too so even if you somehow tried to fix it by just slamming the fights together in a conga line it'd be very stop-start because each would have to transition to their little arena and do these bits. But they're not... they're constantly separated by chunks of non-combat that are much, much longer. For most, they notice this with the TVs but I can't help but notice it's the Hub world stuff too where I have to go take photos of cats, drink coffee or some other mundane stuff between scenarios and unlike my example of going to town to sell stuff from the Diablo/PSO analogy, these aren't things that serve the main game loop, they're distinctly unrelated things that might have been given some meta connection to loosely excuse why they're there (coffee gives stamina and boost, cat photos... uh.... part of your daily missions I guess?) It's like the cafeteria from monster hunter where it's a one per mission sort of gimmick that's short enough to be inoffensive but strung out and amped up several times over. Also, this too is 'bitty' because it's not one central activity (like selling and getting quests can be nicely rounded out to one or two) but a pick and mix bag of many that breaks that into chunks too. TLDR: the 'main gameplay' of fighting is broken into tiny uneven chunks and the downtime between them is freaking massive.
tbh, the graphics and animation is superb! but the repeatable combo/swap sequences, the more you do it, the more it gets boring. and the UI of the game is so confusing. the game became mid because of some issue like tv system -_- repeatable combat, the mobs is just standing (but bulky lol)
@@Prodigal450 almost all gotcha games have repeatable combos, the only matters for me is when i still enjoy the game even if the skill/combo is always repeating. been playing for 4hours and i got lucky and pulled ellen 8/90 pity and yet still looking for the enjoyment of playing zzz for me to continue playing it. but will still give the game a chance tho, to early to quit. its just frustrating when you're excited for the game to be released already, and when it is released, the gameplay will only disappoint you because of high expectations.
yeah, I played for a few hours yesterday to give zzz a shot. There's a lot of mixed feelings I have. I like the character designs, the style, and the vibe this game has. Combat can be fun at times. But... I think the story is quite meh for me personally. The TV section is tedious (I can see why beta testers complained sm about it), and the game feels incredibly easy. Ended up deleting it because I just know I won't be sticking to it in the long-term. Maybe if ZZZ gets improved in the future I might return to it, but right now it's not entirely enjoyable enough for me to stick to it.
I'm Genshin Impact player and ZZZ is the game i hate the most after playing it for 3 days (I really hate the TV screen). Maybe i will quit this game soon and play WuWa being my side game. In fact ZZZ label a combat oriented games but 80% of game is TV screen (Dungeon Crawler). I'm Level 22 in ZZZ and the tv screen wasn't reduce at all.
I was so hyped to play this from the first trailer. It had an old-school Persona 5 vibe. But man, the fighting system totally put me off. No complexity at all. When the new trailer dropped, it looked like the combat would be a strong point (basically a Honkai Impact with a more Japanese high school vibe). I thought the combat system would be good and complex. Oh gosh, I'm so disappointed. I really wanted to play this game, but it’s so bland and not fun at all, even though the graphics are clean and vibrant.
For some reason my ZZZ is stuck at "Checking resources integrity" and it seems that my CPU is the reason for that error. So can you explain what's the TV system is about? Is it part of the combat? Or the world?
@@doedoel035 so it’s a system where you navigate through these Tv to progress through the story or other game modes like their Simulated universe if you have played honkai only much or boring and tedious and I can confirm there is more after playing still but give the game a try and let me know how you feel
From what I can surmise, TV system is a bunch of puzzles you can do to progress the story, usually water pipe connect style puzzles, which are the worst type of puzzles to get through.
the story is good written tho. i like how characters interact in this game. it's far from boring to me. fighting will be stale after a moment, but the chilling gameplay is great.
enemies feel like they're your friends. combat is simplistic and carrried by the animation. it feels like 8min on TV and 4min on combat. TV mode is mehh. the gameplay basically makes you wanna be brain dead and button mash so when you return to the 📺 TV section you don't wanna use your brain anymore. half the of the cast are kids and the other half are furries. The concept of the game is refreshing . it's a good side game. wish ZZz gets better but until then.... 6.9/10 😴💤
thats just how a majority of the community feels the thumbnail just posses that ? as you can see I don't think it's the worst but no where near the best
Game is okay. My issue is the combat. For a combat oriented game it’s very simple. Combo to counter to swap and repeat. It’s a shame too I like the graphics, designs and music. The TV mode is annoying. I got really lucky in the game too. Ellen in 5 pulls.
i like the story, some modern anime ok but that's just it, all i did was spam billy's dash atk and do some wombo combo swap character (more like button mashing) just to beat a walking punching bag, i'll give it more time but dang that tv tho
@@GambaAJ lied, whatcha mean by that? as for the cc i only take them as low interest and not face value, my experience will always judge my saying on the game and as far as i am doing it's not a big splash, not hating the game but like is that all? it's more of a slife of life sci-fi anime where every episode you help someone and progress a bit on the main story then call it a day which is i find ok for me still lacking
I personally was falling asleep playing it like when i did playing borderlands 3 on release. I'll go back to playing Guardian tales, Wuthering Waves, Honkai Starrail & Snowbreak.
bruv the game wasnt captivating from the minute i started it. Didnt get the same excitement like wuwa and hsr did. The graphics and animations are just gorgeous but idk why i feel like the chars feel and look soo kiddish? The combat feels so repetitive tbh constantly having the pop up to swap it was so annoying. I didnt get the fulfillment of the combos tbh. The UI looks so cluttered and confusing man, its not that im lazy to read or what not but the whole screen is filled with words and pop up menus that cant make u focused ffs. The tv wasnt that bad like ppl say but i know itll get seriously boring soon. i just dont see me investing or playing this in the long run. Feels like a honkai impact remake
Ive liked it primarily but dude, the tv system needs to go. The comic book cut scenes are really cool and the combat is ok. You can bump the combat up to more challenging settings.
He wasn't tallking about shelf life with that arguement. He said it was not as time demanding like Genshin or other games, because you don't have to explore a big open world, etc., so given it has less features, it is easier to pick up and play.
8/10 is so high man... I played it gave it 3 hours really tried to be non biased 2/10. Why hoyo had to say the characters are in high school, so weird!
The combat system was definetely designed with mobile as the main priority for the CN audience. When trasferred over to PC it feels like just a ton of left click spamming. Otherwise if they just deal with the TV bs the game is immediately just better.
I agree but this game was supposed to counter WuWa and it failed in that aspect plus people were asking Hoyo for a combat focused game instead they gave us a story focused kind of combat game???
Agree with alot of your points.. unfortuntaely I had to drop it cause of the exorbitant amount of furries and underage girls... I'm just not the target audience
Sorry, but its very clear that many of the people aren't criticizing this game fairly. The only valid argument I've heard has to be the basic combat. Other then that, everything else sounds incredibly goofy to me. Here are some common criticisms. 1. I don't want to play as a bunch of furries. You mean the only 2 playable furries in the game? You guys act as if majority of the roster contained furries. 2. So many lolis-! If you're a crying purist, sure. But there honestly shouldn't be a problem here.. 3. The TV sucks! I think a lot of people doesn't understand that this is a drastically different game with an entirely different goal here. This game isn’t open to the boring open world games.
@@wondering_hand0985 I think it’s unfair to compare 2 combat systems that are not the same it may just be you do not like turn based a fair comparison would be how does this compare to WuWa Genshin etc and ZZZ is the worst in my opinion
All the hate on zzz was so shocking to me. Even more when i saw people mentioning wuwa (a game thats first impression on me was so bad that i dropped it, heard its good now but its just not my cup of tea) Ive enjoyed the game a lot so far, got absorbed by the game for like 4 hours after launch. The story, combat and characters all dragged me in deep. The tv system was pretty ok, i like how most of them mix with combat and the ones that were full puzzle based were pretty nice. Overall the game had a really good impression on me and im still having fun to this moment. Def not a main game ofc, its a really good side game though. Ig going in not as a wuwa fan helped me out here lol
Thumbnail is misleading, but actually good review thought it was just bashing for 10 mins but no, pros and cons well said but idk bout that 8/10, visuals are amazing imo, cutscenes are cool, combat is just no tagteam impact 😂. Story is okay, not deep but its enjoyable, i fw this review
@@ralflewissembrano7149 yeah at the time I thought I had gotten past the tv system but after 6 hours there was more so I just went to bed slept on it I would change my tatting down to a 7 it’s just mid not the best not the worst
I love this game, my favorite from hoyoverse thus far. I dont agree with most of the negative comments. I love the characters, setting, combat. Hell and i put no less than 100 hours into HSR and at least 30-50 in GI.
Tbh, i dont think the game is that bad. Far from the best sure, but its sth u can hop on a few mins a day and beat. To improve the combat, tbh, i think they should just take a page out of HI3rd's book and add more mechanics per fight, especially for bosses. From something simple like freezing the active character if it stays out for too long like Parvati, or sth more complicated like managing the elemental resistance buildup of kevin. More cool boss concepts like the latest perception boss fight and the shadow screen things would be really cool as well. They've already done it b4, no reason why they shouldnt put it in the game to make it more engaging
One of the worst games i've played in a long time. There was nothing i liked about it in terms of gameplay. Like you said, the cut scenes and art style were great but that can't be the best part of the game for this game to excel. The TV's were absolutely horrendous and boring. I can't believe you gave this game an 8/10 after "your brutally honest truth"
@@TheKloair23 well I guess I was being generous but after playing more and there are more TVs it has gone down to like a 7 cause they have even more TVs
@@GambaAJ7 is still generous, calling this a mid game would be a compliment, wtf hoyo thinking about implementing this tv system, the game would be decent without this trash
even if you get all the characters that you want the gameplay is trash, just spam attack and wait for enemies attack to use that space bar thingy, i even play this with auto clicker and just wait to use space bar thingy and watch how my characters obliterate enemy easily even hard mode its just more hp no other mechanic. this game reminds of i game i played back on android back on 2010. the tv mechanic is annoying.
Yea just like in Genshin, the game just came out they said it was gonna start off pretty easy then get harder eventually. They'll add more challenging stuff to it
The fact that this is on ps5 is enough for me. Never played weather waves or whatnot. As a dad and someone who works 9-hour shifts, i actually love this game a lot. Maybe it's just made for people like me who dont have time to play games. Not to mention, my back catalog is overwhelming. With the new sword art online game coming soon, and metaphor is coming out. im not going to have any time for these huge open world games. Metaphor is probably going to steal all my attention just like xdefiant is keeping me from playing these trash cod games lately.
Hoyo just greedy and Genshin already have monopoly on market at the time. So no reason to spend money for zero return on Genshin. Better spend on develop another different style game to milk player more (and also increase customer segment). I really hope Wuthering Wave and Azur Promilia success, so Hoyo forced to improve Genshin.
@@MerkMD WuWa is already a massive success it's the first Gacha game to ever dethrone Genshin in the Global revenue on mobile and mind you they were competing against Clorinde the most awaited character in Fontaine, though they didn't win the Chinese market however the global demographic seem to love the game this is why Kuro should stop bending their knees to the Chinese soyboys and just cater to the global players by hiring a competent localization team.
@@MerkMD nah, the reason they keep pushing out new games is because they realize genshin is getting old and start to lose the hype, they have no intention to improve genshin at this point and decided it's better to just slowly push the players to newer game.
They need to remove that stupid azz tv simulator, there’s too many useless buttons, where’s my dam jump button, and too many loading screens. I think if your a phone user this is good, for pc players this is straight up garbage, it’s like it took the crappy stuff from persona 5 and left everything else besides the music
The stuff you can do in combat is so shallow. I don’t understand why the still fucking make games with 2 fucking moves and an ultimate, and 2 of them are in cooldown. What depth should this supposed to have
Hm... Maybe we're used to open world type so we hate the Television part? Could be, I will just get used to it :D And I would appreciate if the game later on change from Television to something else as story progress as our monitor couldn't handle and we change it to something else that will lend into new system that isn't Television √^•
Genshin, Star Rail and WuWa are all open world type stuff and we got LGTV television system so it pretty bored us pretty fast tho... I'm not sure about Honkai but it definitely didn't have LGTV television system. Still playing because I like Lucy and that ice demon(forgot her name). Also imagining theese character in fanfic is cool too.
@@YDBHpoTheIllegal the problem is not the TV itself, but the UI design for the TV gameplay, it's hard to see and hurts your eyes with all the tv screen flashing everywhere, and it's hard to navigate around, it's technically just a simple roguelike system but they made it annoying to look at for too long.
The only thing it come to mind to me is the want a really casual audience, and that audience is the mobile one bro, like if this game were native of PC no developer would me this kind of gameplay, bro there is even more indie games being developed in Twitter that a better gameplay loop like I don't understand this focus hoyo
Idk combat seems simplistic but feels super smooth after i tried wuthering . Found WuWA to be incredibly bland and just dead of any color and life, whether it was through voices or just the environment in general just like every unreal engine game is barely ran 60 fps and just looked so samey, almost exactly like the first descendant. And holy the story and dialogue in the first few hours of WuWA was dead awful. TV system is okay depends how much it leans into it later on. I just feel like hoyo's worlds are so much more vibrant and lively. Will i play this game for a long time? Depends how the next few days agoes, but i genuinely will never understand how WuWa got as big as it did
It's ok because there's people that like colorful and vibrant style of open world while there's also people like me who prefer a more grey apocalyptic style open world and as someone who have play both genshin and Wuwa don't get me wrong genshin is great but I honestly prefer Wuwa more.
@@MysticAlmighty53 I prefer WuWa as well but I would disagree about it not being colorful or vibrant the new MT firmament was beautiful day or night time visually stunning area but I do agree mostly with your take besides genshin being good
@@GambaAJ honestly at this point I was planning to drop genshin because I don't have the time to play so many gacha games 😅 but yeah I agreed that the new Mt firmament is definitely a very visually stunning place and pair it with the new ost just makes it feel so heavenly 😌
This game is so BORING. I had very low expectations but my gosh, they went lower. It was tv this tv that and no gameplay. And the "free 100 pulls" yeah only for it to be STANDARD ONES. Like, as a newly released game why didn't they go the WuWa route and gift us a lot of free stuff. Not like hoyoverse is a small company with indie devs, 20 LIMITED pulls won't hurt you at all.
For those that were saying that the combat is shallow, i think we haven't even scratch the surface yet. for this game i didn't watch any cbt gameplay before and was quite surprised there's a whole lot of variables that came into play in this game. Hoyo aren't lying when they say this game's combat has a low entry point and a high skill ceiling if you want to master it
@@GambaAJ Bruh you got me more intrested in Wuwa tbh the last hohyo gacha i invested heavily in was genshin and that was a big mistake 🤣so am approaching Wuwa with a NEVER WHALE AGAIN mentality this time
@@GambaAJ Ok so i just found out that wuwa have stamina system like fragile resin that genshin has screw that gonna play regular ass jrpg that i get my money's worth from 🤣 lesson was learned from genshin fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me anyway thanks bruh
Sorry bro, but its in a no way 8/10 game. Its literally uber mid ok game like many of mobile games but with a just more art style. I am already past lvl20 wall and honestly nothing tog better, only reason why i am still playing because of that new gacha fix. But the most annoying thing about this game for me is damn loading screens. Every damn mode, room or anything you can imagine is a loading screen. As a HI3 vet, i was expecting this game to be at least like that, but its legit dumbed down budget comic version of HI3.
Yeah I was on more of the optimistic side at 1st becasue I was still finishing act 1 but now my score has gone down to a 6.5 or 7 because the Tvs are still in the game
Honestly this game is trash. I played for like 4h now and I am bored out of my mind. The story is boring and the characters just endlessly yapp, the music is on repeat endlessly no variation at all, the gameplay is boring and not even remotely close to as fun or interesting as WuWas combat(why did you even compare them lul) and the overall UI is just garbage. The gameplay may be fun now but in like 1 week a lot of people will quit this game because the gameplay has 0 depth its just holding or pressing left click and you win ^^
i can say the same about wuwa, many people will quit it at some point, that's how it works. People enjoy what they enjoy and play what they play. It might be trash for you, but for some people it might be a really well made game. It is all about tastes and perception
@@Hronika-kw5pl Nah I don't think so, WuWa has holograms to practice their skills to, this game literally takes no skill, I've finished everything in the game yet I still have fun by mastering my reaction time, ZZZ doesn't have the same skill ceiling WuWa has.
Saying the characters “endlessly Yap” as criticism abt a story game is retarded to begin with but if you play any other larger gacha they all have it but even worse so it’s even more senseless, and the combat is pretty much the same shit as wuthering, a lot to be compared. And your last criticism applies to every other gacha game 😂 wuthering included.
Auto play brain dead game when you get a couple characters, just as mid of a story. Ugly open world in this case. Pretty equal except zzz out does it in aspects
I understand the point of this game, 80% TV simulator with a f*cking dialogue 10% Comics 5% Sleep 3% Combat 2% Spending with Belle You know Hoyoverse, when there are huge changes they're not generous enough to make everyone happy with the release. I have no hope for this game, a minor change will not change the fact that it is boring. You don't need to cope, bro I know you will quit on this game I bet. This type of game won't last 🥱. If you don't know, they dropped the development of ZZZ after the success of Genshin 2 years ago and decided to continue after star rail. They're not really into this type of genre, in CN they don't like furry humans, that's why Linyang in wuwa received a lot of criticism. CN also doesn't like how cartoonish it looks rather than anime style, it's a very westernized 3D cartoon. It's a failure, since they already have too many gacha, and the player base is looking forward mostly not only a good but also a change of phase game mechanics, I mean come on it's 2024.
