Gianluca Tuzi I’m looking to go KO4 soon, you said to put hybrid on,would you say a hybrid turbo is better? I’m assuming you’ve got knowledge on this ? And what’s your reason for hybrid instead of LO4 bud?
TR Hamza bro can i ask you a couple of questions,1..wen you have picked up speed to say 50 MPH then come to a quick stop,do you here the gear box go in to first gear (like a little click sound) but only every so often? 2nd...wen your on a hill, day your behind someone who’s waiting to pull out ect,if you was to take your foot of the brake does or would yours roll back abit? If so is it normal? Do they all do it? Apart from that mines great, drives spot on gear changes are smoooooth and it’s fall service history including the box and the box was only serviced 4/5 weeks ago, only picked it up 2 weeks ago i got it of my missus as she couldn’t afford to run it so now iv got 2...one Rtech tuned stage 2+ but the dsg is stock, only on Coilovers lowered and doing a rear back box delete, people saying I’ll notice the sound but I’m not so sure...anyway if you could answer the 2 questions I’d be most appreciated 👊
Another great vid, don’t rush to move on to the next project, lets see this complete... coilovers, bushes etc etc Always good to hear your impression on the improvements you’ve made 👍
Favourite channel on RU-vid can’t get a enough of the GTI project, so much content and speaks to a lot of people searching for a project car. Subscribe and like people to keep this kind of content on the channel
TR Hamza thank you for the content. 2019 is your year watch more of your content than LLF and Calvin now thanks to the golf project keep up the good work.
Genuinely one of my favourite automotive channels I’ve watched, content that easily rivals the biggest channels, always cheerful also very informative too! Keep up the good work man !
@@seanyworny104 Standard 130ps. This was cool back in 2003, perhaps not now. The MK1's design is very nice compared to MK2. My first car was an MK1 with a petrol 101 hp 16V, not very reliable.
Ah man I’d love to help you with this project, if your ever in Luton I’ve got a garage, your welcome to pop in anytime and spend however many days you like
This is literally my future guide for my mk5 GTI but hybrid kO4 as want to hit 400bhp with meth obviously as without would be pretty hard? Great video as always, you Ricky and Calvin should do a collab video series
I don't think that turbo is from when the car was new. It had marker writing on it as it if it were from a wrecker. Or the turbo has been rebuilt. Keep up the good work! Dying to see it on the dyno!
Loving the vids man and I love the fact that you are going to do more cars! Iv learned so much already about cars and mods from this series. Big ups from Cape Town South Africa
You should do a comparison to a new fwd hot hatch like a Leon cupra 300 and potentially take them both to a track and time them etc. That would be interesting to see and help show people the difference between leasing a new hot hatch or buying an older car and modifying it yourself.
How do you know so much about the car? Considering it’s your first project car you know what you’re talking about & what you’re doing. Very cool to watch
Glad the K04 is still good, worried from title that just installed, then something happened to it and car. Could you get garage quotes when do price list later, for what any labour you're doing yourself, would have cost them to do please. Like swapping turbo. Good build so far.
Will be watching to see how the engine responds to the K04, I've got a mk5 on 160k,with all the important bits changed on the engine, want to go K04 on mine, but wasn't sure with the mileage
Going for an ed30 for my next car, fabia vrs believe it or not was my first car. 2004 in black stage 1 map with ramair filter made 172bhp and 307ft torque. Hybrid turbo, fmic, some injectors and a strong clutch u can easily get over 230bhp anywhere upto 300bhp ish depending on turbo mainly
I heard you say about a squeal, check the exhaust manifold gasket to the block, usually a damaged gasket, your k03 manifold looked like it had some air leaks
Hi I tent to have a problem with my mk5 gti if the engine gets hot it doesnt get that much power i kant drive past 80kmph and if i pass 80kmph it hickups im in south africa .
4:§7 for the next time take a flat head screw driver and put it in the brake disk cooling slots against the Brake calliper so you can remove theese nuts easly but online on steelbrakes never on ceramics !
*Hamza please reply* So does the turbo have both oil and coolant feeds to it. And therefore would you expect to lose a moderate amount of coolant? I had a K03 hybrid put on my car literally today. And my coolant levels dropped drastically. But obviously I wasn't the one that carried out the work so I'm just wondering if you lost coolant whilst taking the turbo out.
@@tahirmahmood1721 local driving about 130 miles to half a tank. I keep mine topped up between full and half, that way it doesnt feel so thirsty, and putting 30 quid in the tank looks good on the gauge and i can fool myself into believing its better than it is. A full tank registers about 340 miles, but it never achieves that.
