Yeah. I love 7 to death, but I'm still wondering why tf you couldn't move towards an interactable object or why getting your partner to automatically partner up was so random.
For once, I am actually surprised that RGG made a turn based combat that is more responsive, has different reactive elements that make it feel like you're actually in the action rather than just basic your turn attack. Being able to move around, pick up nearby objects to attack, order teammates to do a combo, Kiryu being able to switch multiple styles and getting a real time combat, enemies getting wallbanged - it just feels too good in a turn based combat. It literally has to be the best rendition of turn BASED combat that I've seen.
Even though I'll always prefer the beat'em up combat compared to the turn based they definitely improved so much from the first game P.S any thoughts/feelings on the combat Dillion?
I haven't gotten a chance to play the demo yet, but this looks so much better than Y7's combat, it's more snappy and fast it seems. Hopefully the grind isn't as egregious tho.
@@DillionT Actually, this ability is an amazing opportunity for a cool story moment where Kiryu would just stay in ex-heat mode for the entire long battle and bulldoze through an entire horde of enemies
was very pleased when I actually bothered to play the demo, I had assumed Yakuza 8 was just gonna do nothing new but I'm very glad they've improved on it so much. Hopefully the grinding is less painful, but I doubt they're gonna fix that.
As someone who thinks 7 has one of the worst combat systems I have ever seen, this does not look too bad. I would like it more if it was not in a Yakuza game though. And they should have left Kiryu out of it.
@@revbladez5773 and 8 was cooked to near perfection as a yakuza game we can already see through the story, sidestories and even the wackiness yakuza has
…Gaidens combat is bad? Lmao. I can’t agree remotely. Sure it’s not as good as LJ but man is it still good. Just uh the arena shit can be a nightmare and some of those are poorly constructed
