True Story: I graduated high school in 1996. In my yearbook, I wrote that my dream was to see Pearl Jam in concert & the Red Sox win the World Series. My classmates had dreams of being lawyers, doctors, visiting Europe, joining the military or Peace Corp, having a family, etc.. My dream involved a concert and a ball game. I had no idea how important that dream would be. Four years after I graduated, I met my future wife on August 30, 2000, and kissed her for the first time....at a Pearl Jam concert. Four years after that, I married my wife...on July 24, 2004...the same day as this game...the turning point...the most important regular season game in Red Sox history. Then roughly 3 months after we were married, the Red Sox won the World Series. I have now seen the Sox win 4 World Series and Pearl Jam in concert over a dozen times. But the fact that I met my wife at a Pearl Jam concert, then got married the same year the Sox broke the curse, as well as the same day as the Varitek vs. A-Rod /Bill Mueller walk-off of of Rivera game, after what I wrote in my yearbook, is amazing to me.

Jason Varitek will forever be a cult hero for that shove to A Rod 😂😂😂😂

When the Sox beat the Evil Empire in those fateful four days in October and then then won the WS it brought tears to my eyes and I broke down. All I could think of was my dad who had passed and never was able to see his beloved Red Sox win it all. It brought back all the memories of my time with my dad at Fenway and also the sound of the game on the radio he always had on. Thanks 2004 Sox it was truly a magical and beautiful year.

The legendary rivalry.

I had a ticket to this game, part of my Saturday Sox Pax 4 pack. I flew in from Dallas the day before, and went to the Pawtucket Red Sox game in Pawtucket, RI. Sadly they lost, just like the Red Sox did that night. I got to Fenway around 2 pm for the 3:15 pm start. My seat? 3 rows from the Pesky Pole in Right Field. Sure was fun being there for this game. It was a full Red Sox baseball weekend for me. AAA on Friday, MLB on Saturday, AA on Sunday and A on Monday. Flew home to Dallas on Tuesday morning. Still got the ticket stub.

I’m a Yankees fan, but you have to appreciate all that the Sox have done. They always make it interesting against us, and have given me some serious stress over the years.

I’m a Yankees fan but I do enjoy videos like these. Giving other teams motivation/drive to try and defeat us. We enjoy a challenge. Makes the game more enjoyable for everyone. Not just Yankee fans alone. It adds a piece of history, forever. 👍🏼

What a year that was! I was 29 yrs old. It's one of the best memories of my life, that whole year, 2004. I was at that victory parade in Boston, that town was lit up! It was epic! Again 2004 was a great year, at least for me. Go Red Sox!!

Cowboy up, you legends! Good to see No-Mah as well. I really wish he'd been part of it all at the end.

In spite of Everything Johnny Damon did in a Red Sox uniform (and I do appreciate what he did), I will never, ever forget how he got Red Sox Nation fired up by saying he would never play for the skankees, then he pulled a Benedict Arnold and signed with them.

This was the most exciting, emotionally charged games I’ve ever watched. I was going insane when Mueller got that home run. This is the one regular season game I will remember for the rest of my life.

If you are a die hard sports fan, you sometimes see things a normal sportsman doesn't. You could see something was happening, something was changing. It came to full tilt when Roberts stole second base. I knew then it was going down.

I remember the playoff games all went late. We were up till midnight 1, 2 watching. We had to win 4 in a row and did it. The WS with St Louis was more an afterthought as we blew right over them. The best series ever IMO.

That was on my 25th Birthday, and the best present I ever received. My wish came true.

I lived in Manchester, NH for a number of years, which is about a half hour, maybe 45 minutes to Boston. Well, I got off work one regular normal Friday and met friends on the deck at a local bar called Strange Brew. Fast forward 2 or 3 adult beverages & there's 3 of us, all wearing our Sox caps, sitting at a 4 chair table. Up walks this tall tall man coming from the bar inside, drink in hand. He sits down, looks at all three of us one at a time and says " Nice hats boys ". Long story short, after blinking a half dozen times I realized this is Mike Timlin!!! He sat and shot the sh*t with us for close to an hour. Still have a group photo on my Facebook...he's as nice a guy in person, as he seems on camera.

Who’s here after the Yankees fan chucked a ball at Verdugo. Classless display. Sox will always prevail! 💯

No question this The Greatest Moment in Boston. All 6 Super Bowls were crazy as well but Red Sox breaking the Curse was what us fans Were waiting for for 86 years. I was 23 when they won it all but i know the feeling for people 30 years old +. Now 17 years later 3 More World Series titles followed but this was the Best of the 4.
