Welcome to episode #15 of Noobs in disguise. Your 7th favourite starcraft II duo lambo and harstem are back to give you some insane Noob in disguise action. Email for replays: Harambosc2@gmail.com
It was very cool to see matcha making turrets right until the bitter end. Even when he barley had anything left he spent the few minerals he had on a couple extra turrets. True dedication.
30:00 my bad 😅i wanted to have a tvt because we never had a tvt and wanted to have a lower level replay because we didnt have one in a while but this was not quite the game to pick maybe xdddd
@Lambo, mines will always shoot only 1 at a time at a single unit. If you want to kill a bc or ultra with mines you have to manually select 5 mines and rightclick in order for all of them to shoot at once and kill the unit.
most of my units get oneshot by mines so i had no idea, it made sense once i thought about it for a bit though. Thankfully i had enough time to do so during this match :D
@@sharpie11112mines are already insanely op for not needing any micro whatsoever. Also more automation isn’t always better. Besides stuff like tempest overkill is much better to change. Especially with how air units stack its super hard to stutter step target fire
Just so you know, it doesn't get boring listening to you guys make jokes as you try to understand why metal league players do the things we do. This is so highly amusing that it's quickly turning into my favorite show. Or 2rd or 3rd favorite after Cheesiest Man and Greediest Man. Greed is a form of cheese in my book. But I digress. You guys keep doing what you're doing. The show is great.
Turrets are the perfect counter against mines, mines can't kill turrets and turrets reveal mines. Plus, turrets are additional buildings your opponent have to clear to win the game.
we still remember epic tvt or tvz on iodis series, which lasts about an hour and Harstem hardly survived it... This symmetrical map with island in top right corner... Epic game. But, there was BC-s. Must see. UPD: calles "The Worst Player Ever Thinks BattleCruisers Are Imba"
@@Amoeby yeah, nice and cosy, i miss that stuff sometimes, without all of these professional editing ) flying dragons was very close on playlist, probably earlier couple of vids before this came out. And at some point flying dragons even came back into iodis once more )
It's like saying gg in a chess game, shaking hands with your opponent and then trying to make a move while their back is turned and they can't follow the board.
Please do not complain too much about this one. Its fun once in a while, to listen to you both trying to fill the time with anything, while the players brainstorm their strategy.
I have the "slight" feeling those two already played each other. Matcha did what he did, because Chocolates seems to do similar stuff every game. Like proxy Rax or proxy CCs (hence the SCVs going out and searching) and also building the turrets vs the mines or maybe even mine drops. Not very efficient but to me a clear indicator that Matcha wanted to make sure to counter/blind counter what Chocolates was doing
@@patrickmuller3248 Its more a description of how low-tier and completely inexplicable 95% of their decisions were, but sure, take it however you want. If youd rather spend your time writing a novel analyzing a silver shitshow, as it appears, be my guest.
@@2639theboss I'd just rather be respectful to others. Now, if you'd rather spend your time shitting on people that are not as good just because they have other things to do in their lives, as it appears, be my guest.
You just spent 30 min plus watching a video thats almost exclusively laughing at and questioning the ability of these players, one of whom intentionally submitted it for the sole purpose of the above. Thats cute that you want to pretend to be above that though.
1:51 Bold of you to assume Matcha figured it was a suspicious timing, instead of just committing to this strategy every time regardless because they're terrified of proxies and/or know their opponent proxies.
Great episode, arriving at 19 min game time seeing the terran mech player in the natural of the red terran and hovering over the video to see about 20 mins remaining was certainly an experience. This is true Starcraft 2, I love you bronze/silver/gold players
you can right click multiple mines on a single target if you want multiple to shoot at the same time, good for dealing with bc-s if they accidentally go over a bunch of mines. Or ultras.
27:10 ye im a fan of speeding up the lower level replays if they get long because sometimes they have interesting parts but other times at the end the game is totally over and it lasts for 5-10 more minutes
As someone who sent in a very long replay yes definitely fast forward through the slow parts for your own sanity! (although as a viewer I still enjoy it either way)
I feel like this was a good one off for Noobs in disguise. A genuine low level game with the submitter losing, getting to watch lambo and harstem being held hostage. That said if games like this are common it will lose the novelty and just be boring.
All Red had to do to counter is Detection towers (instead of turrets) Lib, Tank. After than its as simple as getting scans down where you want to move into. I wonder if Red is just new to playing Tarren or something.
I recently lost a tvt to tank widow mine in direct strike, its a dirty composition I have to try soon. Odd serendipity this video and that game. The mine mechanic is that two mines can't target one unit at the same time, surprised pro players don't know that but I guess you guys always have multiple units on top of each other for the mines to target. Not sure if you can manually double target, but I don't think so. I think ravens would be usable for this level of players, and better for pros if they had a long range zero damage attack, sort of similar to templar. vipers could use it too. I'm thinking an auto spell attack that doesn't benefit from upgrades just so they hold back when you select all army A move. That is why these players don't build ravens in my opinion, I know its why I don't.
