it takes 30 minutes with a good group, it doesnt need more hp. ive done it a few times and it has taken 35-45 minutes pretty much every time.

people run it more than once a week, whether or not its for specific glam or for casual players to improve their ilvl, you can easily end up running this 5 times to try to get a specific drop, its very unrewarding content as is and also the longest content in the game @@bodyspray4896

i also has the same thing happening as Xeno by joining a random PF blind run surprisingly no wipe at all LOL but as a healer ofc for first time you will always be surprised since you're not ready of when to heal and some party members dying left and right

I miss wiping when doing alliance raids blind on patch day because everyone tries to figure out the mechanics. That doesn’t happen anymore lol

Its just the raid doesnt put responsibility mechanic thats engaging to each alliance raid. It's way easier, its like fighting a trial but with 24 people.

Not even a Trial. Some Trials also have responsibility mechanics. These bosses felt more like dungeon bosses... which can also have responsibility mechanics... wtf were the battle devs on?

I love the mechanics and flare in these raids. It's just a shame that if you aren't heavily under geared failing is just a slap on the wrist and meme sticker (at least from tank's perspective). I'd settle for role related effects, ie. tank fails gets 1 half of insta doom, another fail kills them; healer fails gets 3 second removable doom and stun (someone else gotta cleanse it); DPS fails mechanic is good as is just double debuff potency.

I consider myself somewhere between casual and midcore, but in my first three runs I managed to get through without deaths or even vulns on myself, somehow. It's a really cool raid, but they could've at least thrown a few more curveballs throughout. At the very least it's a wonderful spectacle as usual.

Yes, it's like the 90 last two AR have been designed with a fear of killing players. Almost nothing hits hard, you get long telegraph AND clear cast bar/ boss tell so you get double time to dodge, AND it's currently not ilvl capped so bosses die so fast they barely ever do their more complex combos. Even the supposedly dangerous knock backs will timidly push you of half the arena at max. It's an AR FFS, 12 peoples dying when you've got 3 tanks for one single boss; 6 healers and probably several DPS with rezzes available is nothing. If they design the bosses with mechanics that barely ever kill more than one or two players, the raid will not even notice those players down. And I'm saying that while having done NO Ex and Savage fights synced yet so I'm NOT a high end player at all.

@@zefyrisd69Yeah I recently re-ran Aglaia for coins, and when Nald'Thal does the half room cleave, where he is supposed to "fake you out" by turning his body, *after* the turn you still have a full five seconds to see the very obvious telegraph and move.

My first run was more crazier than this. Only had 3 people alive on the 2nd and last boss and took a long time for us to recover. I'll admit I got clipped by random things and died too, but I played a healer so I am 10 times more squishy. Had a lot of fun though. The story aspect of the alliance raid is very nice.

Well, yes, savage raiders already have BIS for the expansion (other than maybe the last relic step). This will be what people are synced down to in the future. They are going in with literally the best gear anyone will ever have for this fight. I went in with non-savage raiders (as it is intended) and it is a good time.

Xenos, I did it first thing in the morning with just a random duty finder group, and people were dying left and right. It is definitely harder for the current crop of casual players, but not hard to us more seasoned players.

It is also harder in general when you have a lot of people who don't know what they are doing dying. Those stack markers hit really damn hard when over half of the raid is dead. On my first clear, I literally used healer lb3 twice on the last boss it lasted so long. And on Llymlaen, we saw the knockback into the corridor 3 times, his group didn't even see it twice. Not that the bosses were really that difficult regardless, but they are gonna be a lot easier when you kill them before they even get to the point where they are using all their stuff at once.

They had a lot of potential to make this a LOT harder, making that culmination of the 12 gods attack requiring tank lb would of been really cool, or even going the extra mile of adding an enrage if you were to see it the 2nd time, but all of that is wishful thinking. Although one thing is that the quality of groups can vary *dramatically*. I did my first run yesterday and we pretty much saw every mechanic twice. For the average quality of players, this fight is fine, but if you even step up a slight bit that’s where the difficulty drop off becomes staggering, as I didn’t even think people were skipping *that* many mechs.

Lymlean was like the only boss that actually felt like a boss of the first 3. Final boss could've stomped Ultima and Cid in terms of difficulty. Like you're pooling mechanics from the twelve. They could've literally had plenty of overlapping mechanics, throw a trio in or a quadro in, light party shenanigans, last boss has 100000% potential to be dope instead the only new mechanic which isn't new is Ravensflight mini. Final boss music is Epic but the fight isn't lol

Don't belive it's case but the last boss feels more like a we ran out of ideas type of boss fight rather than a homage to all the other bosses. Cool idea on paper but to me it just comes off as lazy just using all the mechanics from the other boss fights without changing anything.

This raid is going to get outclassed so quickly. Each boss will die in like less than a minute, I really wish they would make these fights last longer. It's so boring skipping entire phases.

Just came to the comments to read about how mostly BiS players are complaining that an alliance raid tuned for 625 ilvl is too easy. Blame people complaining the Ivalice raids were too difficult pre-nerf for why you'll never see that as the standard ever again in alliance.

Yeah at some point, some player should accept the fact that this raid is for the _average Casual Player_.. if the devs pull the difficulty on a extrem level some random groups will never be able to clear this, of course it is boring for some player.. when its normal for you to play a game on "very hard" you will get easy bored when you play on "easy"

The worst part about this raid is the final boss is giving you tutorials on mechanics of the new bosses you saw tutorials on in the raid while only having one unique mechanic. It really felt like a safe alliance raid that you could do once and you've done it a thousand times.

Aesthetically this raid was pretty awesome, the music for the first couple bosses did feel a bit underwhelming compared to Euphrosyne, the bosses were pretty awesome, the last boss I felt like, it could've had some differences of the mechanics it was recycled from, put a twist there sort of thing.

The bosses also need to not have tutorials for their attacks and just get straight to the point of the fight. That or be faster in general and have Alliance Raid mechanics.

Xeno went in with BiS raiders, of course they steamrolled it. I did it in a duty finder group yesterday and the bosses took forever, people dying left and right. Alliance Raids are not meant to be challenging to people that do Savage and Ultimate.

These bosses are seemingly tuned to the lowest ilevel (i625) and not what I would assume the average ilevel would be (i640-i650). When Ivalice raids came out, you'd still be able to see Mateus' DPS check up until around 3.4 came out. also btw Ivalice raids were the perfect difficulty. Not super hard, but not snoozefest easy where the main gimmick is every boss does a tutorial mechanic.

did it with 23 randoms, barely anyone died, some collected 6 vuln debuffs before they died. i died once.. because i looked away. music and visuals werent bad, but also nothing too special (except the city in the beginning i liked that one) disappointed, hoped for a worthy third raid, but it felt easier than even aglaia on day one.

In my group of 23 randoms we wiped to the last boss twice since all the raisers died to mechanics. I mean I had some fun with that and it felt harder than the other two because of that.

I liked the raid. Cleared with my FC. So there is was additional mechanic called "Tanks trying to kill the whole raid with tankbusters". Thats was fun.

Engaging but easy probably because you have to do all three raids for 660 tokens. If every 24 were a slog it would get tiresome easily. I fall asleep a lot during Menphina in Euphrosyne meanwhile Halone keeps me engaged.

I don't really agree with those saying it's a cheap re-hash of the same mechanics, they either don't know the lore, always want to be stimulated with new shit, or whatever. Lore-wise, I think this was awesome and bittersweet to see the 12 go. Music and visuals absolutely stunning. Oschon's mechanics in particular with the rotating cleaves were pretty sick. What I DO agree with that could make the final fight even better/more difficult by adding twists to their prior counterparts. For example, they kind of did that by adding a knockback with Thal's balls, and also doing a half cycle of Menphina's moons. I think the fight would've been more excellent by adding a twist for each of the god/goddess. Can't please everyone, yea, but eotd I really enjoyed this alliance raid series~

They could combine multiple mechanics at the same time, like Ultima the Seraph from Orbonne, rather than executing each god’s mechanic’s sequentially. For example, you can combine Azeyma and Halone’s attack. There’s so many possibilities they could do. The only two mechanics they changed a bit is just Menphina and Thaliak. It feels shallow to me and definitely a missed opportunity to make it more interesting

I've seen people say this raid is easy, but I thought this raid was labeled under Fun? I can't see why they would make it difficult. Plus I myself giving up about this game showing difficulty for casual play. What I REALLY wish this game did was make healers heal... but I'm guessing all games do this now when you take a healing role and turn it into a healer challenged.

When people say difficult, they're more comparing it to the Ivalice raids. Those raids at the time were also easy, however they offered a decent challenge that kept players focused and interested in learning how the fight works and how to clear certain mechanics. With Thaleia, the only thing you need to do is not get hit. That's it. If a Full Party KO'd but the other two are alive, you can still clear the raid without that one alliance, whereas in Ivalice, this could become an issue for certain fights that have DPS checks, or require X amount of players to stand in Y, etc. Thaleia (and Euphrosyne) is not a 24man Raid. It's a 24man Dungeon. If the bosses didn't require 3 tanks for their tank busters (the ONLY alliance raid attack), I wouldn't be surprised if people tried a Full Party challenge.

@@Nesaru Visual overload is the problem for me. I do have all party member spell effects turned completely off but I still find it can overwhelm me having that many people running around plus all of the visual ques and spell effects from the bosses themselves. I'm probably in the minority for this but I can get overwhelmed by a bunch of visuals.

I had fun with the last boss the first time I did this, because we ended up having 1 1/2 of the alliance raids die, and it was fun trying to pick everyone back up with the moons, knock back, and everything else going off. I assume that'll be the only time this is particularly exciting though, because I'm not sure how any of this stuff will kill people once they've seen it.

Im not sure if this analogy works, but ff14 now kinda suffers as like marvel after endgame, post endwalker felt like the marvel movies nowadays after endgame :(

Probably because they're both providing pretty filler content or stuff that's not very surprising. At least we can assume FF has a larger plan, which I actually think they purposely went a little loose with post EW so DT seems way better after the almost end of the universe finale who knows 😂

We just had the climax to nearly a decade of the same story arc, so it makes sense that there's some de-escalation when it comes to these patches. The story can't just keep getting crazier and crazier forerver, there needs to be some downtime. Hopefully Dawntrail starts building up something interesting on launch.

I think the mechanics were great. Just enough to require you to pay attention and have some situational awareness without requiring like 100% concentration (which is good, this IS casual content after all). My gripe lies with the complete lack of punishment if you DO fail. All damage is like a pin prick, the mechanics are spaced out far enough that vuln+ stacks fall off before they could even matter, and so on. Like, please. I just want some friggin' consequences, that's really not asking for much =_= I know we are coddling healers to death in this game, but what's the point of even HAVING the healer role if you make the healing requirements so ridiculously low that a party can survive just fine without even having a healer?? That's what set Orbonne apart - the mechanics weren't more difficult either, but when you made a mistake it usually took like 80% of your health bar which was then followed directly with a raidwide. Yeah sure, a quick heal would save you just fine, but there was at least a RISK of death. Here you can stand in 5 mechanics in a row and each hits for like 10% of your max HP. That's just wrong.

The more I think about this raid, the less I really like it. The thought of doing it each week for my Coin reaaaalllyy bores me. It's just so boring. Even if you give the bosses more HP and Damage, they just have really uninteresting mechanics with not enough going on when compared to Ivalice or even the NieR raids. I see a lot of people saying shit like "Oh man, their all BiS of course they're skipping mechanics and taking no damage", but that's not the problem. The problem is the raids are boring and brain dead. There are no interesting mechanics or layered mechanics (layered mechanics being just multiple mechanics for the boss going on at once, perhaps targeting different Alliances or Roles or something along those lines). That's not to say ilvl isn't a problem, as all lvl 90 stuff (all content really) ilvl scaling is a problem, but the biggest issue this raid has is that it really has nothing going on. There doesn't seem to really be any Alliance specific mechanics either. No Alliance Stacks, no Red Triangles, no Adds for each tank to split, nothing as far as I can remember. I know those are very done to death, but given how simple these fights are, I think they'd at least spice them up a bit? Also it's level 90, amp things up just a bit please. I feel like we should get difficulty on par with DR or Orbonne. This almost feels like Crystal Tower levels of difficulty, The Brain Sludge Raids, just with lvl 90 slapped on it. I guess I like Llymlaen a bit, she's probably the best part of the raid with variety of mechanics and that little knockback into the safezone bit. Kind of like taking the Hallway Beam Spam from Puppet Bunker and putting it into a boss fight in a sense. I do enjoy that she summons up her serpents to spice things up a little too, like "you've seen my mechanics, now here's some more stuff on top of that for fun!" But still, I wish there was more. Eulogia has the whole hand thing going on which is fine, but that's the only new mechanic it does right? I feel like they missed a huge opportunity to have more of the Twelve's mechanics layered on top of one another in the fight like how High Seraph Ultima throws some stuff from prior bosses at the players. It's just so sad. So much potential but we get such an on rails "one mechanic at a time" experience that it makes things feel underwhelming. I've been feeling this for a while, but the narrative really doesn't match the gameplay in terms of difficulty and power scaling. Oh you're fighting this powerful universe destroying entity, but it hits like tissue paper and has what feel like lvl 50 player's first mechanics. Godly beings should not be such pushovers. Again, I'm not asking for EX or Savage difficulty, not at all, but please... use Ivalice and Bozja's CEs and Raids for inspiration. That's what difficulty should be at this point in the game. TL;DR: Thaleia and the EW raids in general feel like too much of an unengaging cakewalk. I dislike the thought of doing this thing once a week for a coin if I am going to be bored out of my mind. This feels like it belongs in Sycrus tier difficulty. Why don't they use Ivalice or Bozja for a blueprint on what difficulty should be this late into the game? It's really depressing imagining EW being what the game could potentially be going forward in terms of non EX/Savage difficulty. I agree that Orbonne, or Dun Scaith, or Wheeping City or Lighthouse are still the best in terms of Alliance Raid offerings. Back to lurking I go :v Pardon my unwarranted rambling. Just wanted to shit on this Raid for a bit because of how it and a lot of EW's offerings made me feel about casual content in the game lol. Also P.S. SMN sucks, make it a caster again, bye bye.

This raid was hard for my first group, the only bosses half my raid didn't die to were the first 2 bit on Oschon and the last boss half my raid died including myself. Lol Healers were going nuts! Both died in my alliance twice and it made the last boss feel SO EPIC! I understand for Xenos this isnt hard but i dont do savage content and i found this raid pretty difficult. I think this is just perfect for me as far difficulty goes and i enjoyed the new mechanics that, at least I've never seen before such as Oschons arrows and how he jumps to a new position changing the AoE locations. Great raid!

yes, i'm shocked, compared to old Alliance raids from day one, this is like child's play. Casuals don't need catch up in this game, ilvl is meant nothing when there is no content to use it for them, and this is not that content , and there is nothing that needs it at all. Alliance raids where good when they needed to nerf them because people started to cry, now you won't see them anymore, it's the exact opposite.

@@UmbraWeiss The "catchup" is to get them to the required ilvl for the next bit of content for them without requiring crafted gear. Euphrosyne dropped 625 gear -> Thaleia requires 625. It's also a way to give them some gear progression, people like seeing their gear improve even if they're not raiding. They get to upgrade their tome/crafted stuff to 650, get some augment materials to get 660 tome, etc. No impact on people who already got BiS from doing the hard content, but the casuals get to have their fun too seeing their gear get better. Alliance raids have never been that hard dude. They're not content you progress on, they're something literally anyone can do day 1, even if there are a few wipes. I can understand wanting more endgame, difficult content, but Alliance Raids ain't it.

The average hardcore player won't find it too challenging or even call it easy (Hell I face tanked every mechanic), but for the average casual player this is definitely a step-up in difficulty.

Alliance Raids are not meant to be challenging to people that do Savage. I went in with a duty finder group yesterday and it was super fun. People dying left and right, bosses taking forever. This is "hard" casual content. Savage and Ultimates are for more experienced raiders.

Love the raid. Difficulty is perfect for a 24 man. Leave all that crazy stuff for ultimates and get rid of constant body checks during savages.
