His response WAS perfect, though someone should also at some point ask him if he wants to get some jokes from the current decade. I've heard him make "you're a virgin" and "your mom" jokes before and those are at least as old as Shakespeare. Act IV, Scene II of Titus Andronicus Demetrius: "Villain, what hast thou done?" SushiRoll Speaks exactly how i felt! i was like what was the point of that type of question in the first place except to try and make him feel bad about something he was obviously passionate about? i was so happy when he said he was married to the dalek. first, i was like now whatcha gonna say to make this guy (who took the time out of his day to come to the show) feel bad about himself? then when it sunk in that both his wife and him were that passionate about the show i was like AWWWW you two are so precious!!

Exactly right you can see he wasn't pleased with the lookalike and as soon as he asked the question I don't even think it mattered what the question was he wanted to end this segment as fast as he could that's why he pressed that button to the chair would go back looks like he didn't want any competition

M I'm like his standup too and I watch him all the time in QI.Im also a fan of dark humour but I find him the humour inappropriate in this timing.The thing about humour is it is dependent on the right timing.What Jimmy Carr said wasn't offensive but it was insulting. Everybody face turned red when Jimmy Carr said that joke because they deemed it to be insulting.The tension is relieved thanks to they guy quick comeback.But imagine if he didn't make that comeback.How awkward will it have been?? Jimmy Carr is not making conversation here like the rest of the guest.He's trying to make the audience laugh.He tends no not realise that he's not in a stand up show.

Actually he's not bullying anyone, he makes these kind of jokes and I absolutely love him. I suppose it sounds rude if you're not used to it. He makes references to things like Doctor Who fairly often. And no, that laugh isn't fake. He really does laugh like a seal being molested.

That's why I said I don't like the way he treats SOME fans. He is pretty great most of the time though :)
