I think it's cause they're both extremely snowball-y characters with insane advantage states and dogwater defense

Basically Nago loses health when blood gauge is full but does big damage (the black dude) But Johnny has an INCREDIBLY long grab animation and Nago still loses health while in the animation (grabs do a bunch of damage) So basically it’s equivalent to timing someone out in smash bros with sonic by taking a life from them and waiting out the 10 minute timer Johnny is waiting for Nago to lose all his health by grabbing Nago and putting him in long animations
