Used to have same issue using a 175--176 DX Singray and before his a 167--166 DX Singray and a 175 gram DX Shark for winds or needing more then a weak arm, remembering Shark and how I throw well I use mainly a Star (2 back ups) around 175 grams for long approach/short midrange to long putts pas 33-35 feet as well as Driving. I used a Pro model before this still in bag where disc is more a windy day putter only flaw is I have been using my Shark in Star mainly since 2016 for windy day putter. I do use for more midrange distance a Shark 3 Champion (have backups) reason I do not use a Buzzz or a regular Shark for midrange is I find Buzz not wind fighting enough where a Shark/3 will fight winds, Shark 3 as midrange becuse dome on a Shark is giving mold a putter like float I do not like in a midrange on up especially in max drives with midrange discs.
Beginner here. My bag is horrible and I know it. Drivers: z avenger ss, star roadrunner, z Heat (2014 ace race prototype) Fairway: DX Leopard (given to me) Mid: Buzzz ss (I already know) Putters: DX Aviar, PMLuna, jawbreaker Focus. Go on. Let me have it! (Started in May)
Real fine - you are on point for beginner, except pare it down to just 4 and work on form and angles: 1. Putting Putter - Aviar 2. Throwing Putter - Luna 3. Mid and Fairway - Buzz 4. Fairway and Driver - Leopard
I got a halo destroyer for CTP last weekend. I haven't thrown anything past a 9 speed cause of my noodle arm, and being new to the game. The damn thing goes 80ft farther than anything else I throw ffs. It almost feels like a cheat code.
9:35 you said you dont like ppl giving you unsolicited form tips well here i am doing that haha i think you could benefit from waiting a split second to "pull through" im noticing the second your planter foot hits the ground you move your hips which is good but at the same time you also pull through which is not ideal.. best imo is your planter foot hits and then your hips fire "the hips get you into the power pocket" then you "pull through" with a fast arm.. Checkout Chris Dickerson's form he really has an easy to see "delayed pull through" and i say pull through in " " bcuz i dont think its really pulling at all but thats what we call it!
I think a good unsolicited tip would be for him to stop faulting every jump shot... (for instance 1:34 or 8:39 or 8:56 or 10:32). He's loosing the power of the shot by releasing when in the air, rather than releasing while still pushing (Physics, says the equal/opposite yada yada means his weight in the arm extending while in the air is countered by the same weight of his body mass not moving forward (but with his foot still on the ground the physics change... I just find it fun calling foot fault on almost every video.. and on the odd occasion he almost grounds his front foot before release.. Classic. Can't wait for one of his mates to call him on it... Maybe thats why he's always playing with one other person.. that way they can't have the call seconded. 🐣 🤾♂
OMG... Gotta love Ameraca steering the PDGA rules... Juniors and Amatures cannot wear a T-Shirt as an outer garment in a PDGA sanctioned Final or semi-final... That fairly well just took out ALL players in New Zealand as we are a fairly laid back casual crowd... (I worked for EDS and we had 'Casual Fridays' that used to have visitors exclaiming how they had never seen a company full of so many happy workers... Then EDS America said... "hey we think your idea is OK" (Say that in your head in an Austin Powers accent)... So here are the rules... Casual must be 'Business Casual'... So collared shirts, slacks, ... basically describing standard New Zealand business attire.. so basically they made casual day... business as usual. (I was the last one in the co wearing a Tie other than a few execs... coz I was a suit wearin IT tech.) Course then the big wig announced that they had to 'Re evaluate the position of their assets..." and stock fell from $80 to $18 overnight... NZ EDS's share of the loss was $50m... oddly the exact figure the big wig got as a golden handshake for doing such a good job.... uhhh where was I again...
If you bag a river and it ain't for rolling then your probably fighting for Bogey every hole. Now a champion Mamba or mvp relay then your probably pretty good.
I will never understand people who throw a regular DX Magnet using full power full wind and is so worn in, in bad way disc hey should be getting plastic splinters. You look in bag an old single strap shoulder style like a big submarine bag or Discraft single strap tournament bag on last legs and every DX or Pro D like plastic disc is like this and would be illegal if used in a PDGA event since 2000's onward you were required if asked to show your discs were not illegal pre tournament in a C tier on up, not just B on up like in 1990's due to amount of wear in gouges.
