Lew, if your car got 111k on it, I would say you just check your timing chain tensioner. That means either measuring the length of the pin or counting the backlash stopper tooth, how much you can see. Timing chains from Honda (made by DAIDO) are know for lasting a long time. Timing chains do stretch over time-and a very aggresive driving (wich I presume you don't go for) can stretch it more. Otherwise IF your timing chain is stretched nuff, you'll be able to find an error code in the ecu, coming from the sensor plates of the intake cam.
FNLEW your welcome mate. My story of the timing chain is a bit different. When I bought my FN2TR in 2014, it was about to hit 85k by the 1st owner. So I got the car, doing some stuff here and there and asked myself 'Whats up with the timing chain anyway?'. Speaking of me personally, I replaced everything before hitting the 120k on the dashboard. I never got to know how he was hitting the paddle back then. Me having no issues, but I really don't wanted to get the 'crush' that purely wrecks the whole engine. Long story short, if you have the time, bees and honey and passion, do the replacement. The parts are not expensive -compared- to other car brands. To respect your view and opinion, you have to make the decision. Stay save!

Hi mate I’m about to do my Rocker cover refurb in white, what colour would u suggest doing the spark plug cover in? And the vtec cover in? Mine are in black at the min, but I have the neo chrome oil cap, and neo chrome washer covers
I think you've answered your own question then there buddy. Neochrome spark cover it is. Not sure on the engine cover as it's quite a large bit but I just kept mine off.
Looks well. Noticed at the end of your vid the type r rear badge, the red paint if flaking off it just as is mine, any chance you’d do a vid on replacing it, cheers.
