The U.S.S. Sulaco is a Marine Space Battle Cruiser Conestoga-class starship that transports United States Colonial Marines in the 1986 film Aliens. The Sulaco is named after a fictional town in Joseph Conrad novel Nostromo. The function of the Sulaco in is to transport Marine soldiers to investigate an unknown dilemma at corporate outpost .

I love this scene from the special edition, because the scene mirrors the first time we see the Nostromo, where we're given a tour of the ship while the crew is in stasis, Cameron even has a perpetual motion spinning thing like the perpetual motion nodding birds in the first Alien.

Yeah I really felt this should have been in the initial motion picture release. It filled in a few things.

I always thought the Sulaco was a bad ass looking ship! Would love to see it in combat with another space vessel!

I had the same feeling. Being also a fan of Halo other than Alien (Halo was heavily inspired by Alien universe) I've decided to write my own (short) novel about a Covenant invasion of the United Americas space. With campaigns like that on Tientsin in which, instead of the UPP, it was the Covenant that conquered the planet and glassed it. Events in the novel tells about a special operation to capture a Covenant prophet in order to sign the peace, so the UAAC (United Americas Allied Command) set a trap against the Covenant on a distant colony where the UAAC pile up Marines and ships to attract the Covenant to attack. Right now Im also making a model of my personal refitted/upgraded Conestoga-class that is present in the novel as "hero-ship". Its a bit difficult to write because describing a battle in space in another language that Im not so used to (english) is a bit too much for me... 😅 But soon or later I'll finish it. After all its just a short novel. 😁

Five days ago I've started making my own model of a Conestoga-class light transport (actually a sort of improved version made for my short novel about Alien and Halo) And right now its almost complete, it needs paint. Its almost 1 meter long. Without the antenna array. Cant wait to finish it.❤
