UfC 295 was a perfect card until that Jiri stoppage. Maybe Alex would have put him out for good but he had ALREADY RECOVERED from the knockdown and had a hold of both of Alex's legs. It was HORRENDOUSLY EARLY, especially for a title fight main event. Look at how Jiri literally is already standing up before Alex has even been fully pushed away by Goddard. That stoppage pisses me of SO fucking much and I love Alex.
The Doumbe situation was really bad. Doumbe tells him "hey there's something in my foot", Marc says "you can't call timeout you need to keep fighting". Doumbe squares up but doesn't engage. Goddard says "fight". Doumbe stands there defending himself. His opponent points at him. Doumbe shrugs and points at this foot basically saying "I'm not going to initiate you come attack me". Goddard waves the fight off. I really don't get how that was Doumbe giving up when his opponent is basically the one who complained that Doumbe wasn't engaging, but he wasn't engaging either. EDIT: Just to clarify my stance. Goddard tells both fighters to engage. Neither fighter engages. Doumbe's opponent signals to Goddard first. Somehow only Doumbe is punished with a TKO loss for not engaging even though his opponent just stood there too.

I think the worst part about that cedric doumbe call was after it happened cedric calmly said to him “i understand what you’re saying but the second time i did not ask to stop the fight it was baki” goddard just pauses, doesn’t really know what to say and then screams “…..CEDRIC, YA CANT!!” Hahaha

it almost seemed like he ended the fight early because Marc was irritated with the fighters. I seen this live and thought it was a horrible stoppage. It was weird. People get time for getting hit in the balls or for eye pokes. Whats the harm in checking a foot? Refs can really hurt the credibility of an organization: I thought this was a bad look for PFL.

He gave Usman 2 timeouts and all the benefit of the doubt of getting hit in the balls and eye poked which Colby did poke his eye after that headkick but when Covington gets a finger in his eye Goddard says no more timeouts lol he was so biased for Usman in that fight

Herb did this with usman all the time too. Literally had to rip Usman’s hand off the cage in the second Leon fight but never actually penalized him despite usman doing it 8+ times in front of his face.
