Hello doctor, I have had hair transplant 3 weeks ago currently on shedding phase which has started within the first week of hair transplant itself. Lot of my shedding hair are with a black bulb with j , L shaped at the bottom, few are in kinked and are angled and appears thin coarse texture at the bottom . Is this normal ? Please suggest . Thankyou DR.
Shedding starts on Day 7 after hair transplant and how much you will have till you reach the 4-6 weeks mark varies from person to person. The bulbs coming out are not roots. They are merely the base or the bottom part of the hair. The root surrounds it and is retained in the body. After 5 days are over roots are pretty much safe. Hope you are taking Finasteride 1 mg a day.
Is it normal for donor area hair to grow faster and the existing native hair under DHT influence those were trimmed for transplant which were just sitting on head as it is ( neither growing nor shedding) before transplant to grow slow ! ? When will the native hair under DHT influence will grow at same speed like back of the head provided we follow the medication as prescribed after transplant ? Thanks
Thinning hair are 2-3 times slow in growth than the good quality hair in the scalp donor. After 3 months and if you are on oral Finastreide, all hair would have grown to the pre procedure state mostly.
I'm still in the ugly duckling phase 9 weeks after my transplant but I'm starting to see some random hairs sprouting in random locations. From a results point of view, i look the same as before my transplant.
@@kasimir166 So I will not be able to answer this since only your doctor knows what type of donor hair you had. Were they anagen only or otherwise. Shedding usually stops by 4-6 weeks in my patients. Please ask your doctor for better advice.
It’s been a month since I’ve had my hair transplant, I haven’t experienced any Shock loss yet, is it likely to Happen Is there still a chance it may ? Or have I gone past that period
Sir I had my hair transplant 22 days before and one day I came out wearing bandhana and wen I came back I suddenly noticed a very very small patch of my recipient area gone bald completely , though I was in shedding phase but still m confused because of sudden bald patch , is it because of shedding or shock loss please guide me and will they come back?
I had a HT about 2.5 months ago. I see some dark hairs that aren't growing and very thin hairs that can only be seen up close. When can I expect the recipentant areas to start growing full dark hairs?
Sir, it's been 27 days I have done my hair transplant. I know this time is shedding phase. I am gently touching my transplanted hairs frequently, every time I touch there are some hairs falling out. Will it cause any problem? I am taking Folzin, Dutoid, Hairlyfe and Vitaylse medicine and using minoxidil once daily.
Hi sir My scalp is still red after three months I did in small area onli till it's red Can you please help with any topical cream to bring normal scalp colour
Nice name Ugly Duckling never hear from that. I can learn something for today and tell others about it too. I was laughing. Haha or the have done a ugly FUT and got terrible scar the lose all their hair and no grow you lose more. You should be lucky if at last 95% grows up! Even a bad scar from the FUE is much better can fix it than a ugly FUT were a peace of meat from you is gone. Last time I see a guy he had done a FUT if you see that meat how it was cutten, you was scare like dead.
A small request to you sir there are some people who don't know English language, for them you should make videos in hindi language & keep the subtitle in English or vice versa in this way hindi & English both language would be covered. Thank you
If you refer to 'shock loss' pertaining to recipient area of hair transplant: If you plant in high density amidst thinning hairs, it can be permanent. Otherwise 20% permanent loss if you are on Finasteride. 80% will recover.
One of my relatives is still receiving shock loss 5 months after hair transplant is this normal? He is worried can he start finistraide to help him? Any Suppliments or treatments to help?
That is progressive balding that is happening and not shock loss. He should have started Finasteride long time back immediately after the procedure. He can do so now.
