Why was the Ugro-Turkic War so bloody? Originally posted 4.25.2023 #history #linguistics #languages #hungary #finland #estonia #turkey #turkic #academia #language #scholar #library #books
Something similar to this is going in the Indian academia. There are fierce debates on whether the Indian civilization was built by migrating Indo-Europeans or is it completely indigenous.
Hey just so you know your videos aren't made into shorts when upploaded for some reason. I dont know if this is intentional or not but i think it would greatly help your content reach more people if it was a short rather than a regular video. Loved the video too btw, very interesting.
Finnish language and Turkic are distantly related too. Hungarian is kind of in between, so, the questions is more like which is it closer to? The Turkic, especially as looking at the cultural heritage too, original Hungarians were a Hunnic, horsy, military society.
Every single fact you stated is wrong. Please don't spread misinformation. Finnic and turkic are not related (that isn't even a scholarly hypothesis). Hungarian is a finno-ugric language. The term hunnic is kind of vague and can refer to multiple peoples (the relationship between huns and magyars is unclear).
Hahah great video, but the Uralic nature of Hungarian is not "a view", it's a fact. And, no, contrary to what it's been stated in some of the comments here, there's no kinship between Uralic and Turkic languages. Loanwords, which do exist, are different from a shared, common ancestry.
Hungarians are from the urals originally and they are the descendants of the huns which predate the arrival of the turks in europe so yes they are similar to turks but its like saying a mongolian is a turkic person.
@@genovayork2468 and In Hungarian folk tradition the Hungarians and the Huns are one and the same, because they were the ones who organized and lead the migrating torrent of peoples. According to most recent scientific research the proven fact is that Árpád's clan was of Hun origin.
Nice video though. Although I heard theories about Hungarians coming from Central Asia what did the Finno-Urgic supporters thought about that. Is there even any genetic connection between them?
