It's amazing how many fantastic looking finishes are offered now. I'm 64 and I remember when most drum kits were plain blue, black, red, or white.

That’s one event I wish I could attend , but I’m stuck in Australia , I’m a drummer with 50 years experience under my belt , and love attending these shows to check out new toys to play with :)

My favourite set of the whole show had to be the red birch tama star classic performer, sounds amazing

Looks like fun. 👍 But really, we've probably reached the zenith of drum-making and hardware. In fact, we reached that point years ago. Now it's just novelty, a new finish here, a different lug there - the only genuine 'progress' is likely to be in the field of electronics, but honestly, it doesn't matter what they do, the acoustic kit is not going to be replaced wholesale. It's just a business - as it always has been, really - and a bit of fun. That's it.
