I like your genuine honesty. You are smart! You can see through people. Let’s face it they are no one’s friend. All just using each other for knowledge to earn more money. £75 ?? For what ? If I was a reseller I would never pay that. End of the day no one in business is your true friend. It’s all about making as much money as they can by using people. I was a manager for 12 years. I thought my staff were my friends they all used me to get further up the ladder. Then never heard from them again. I am so weary of everyone now. Just keep that in mind and think of your son and you only! Make as much money as you can for both of you.

doesn't seem like much was lost not going, half of the "experts" barely make minimum wage from their reselling, who already share all of their information on youtube. It's a very strange one to me. I also feel like Whatnot is becoming Skynet or something, just slowly taking over every aspect of reselling RU-vidrs xD

i came away from the reselling community along time ago ,i used to do youtube under another name and found it was becoming a clicky place ,with these events they all think there big celebs i dont see any of them hitting 6 or 7 figures so why would i pay that event , id rather take information off technsports

Yes, being reseller is a very lonely job and requires a lot of motivation and some thick skin. So thank you for your videos. They make me feel less lonely. Also motivated me to list a bit more items every day

Totally agree my man! I watched one video and it was more like 'look at me I'm having a jolly' and wallowing in their self proclaimed fame. It gave no real idea about the structure of the event or what was going on. I left a comment stating the same which was swiftly deleted!! Ooooh how touchy some people are. Now don't get me wrong I did pick up some tips from certain channels but over time some seem to focus more on personal aspects of their life filling up most of their videos. I do hope some watched your video about toilet rolls!! I would imagine they could make a small fortune as they seem to be full of ..........! I do like the down to earth style of videos as opposed to the look at me I'm famous (not) ones. Whatnot is a fad and some have the selling personality of a wet fish and instead rely on followings to buy things. That's my tuppence worth, my personal opinion and me expressing freedom of speech, I hope you just keep doing the same!

I normally just watch and don't comment, but this has got me typing, I know a few resellers have RU-vids, but to my knowledge, you and one other are the only ones who take the time to make videos about how to start reselling, what to look for etc,etc, others make videos saying, oooh look I made this much but don't say how is BS IMO, you do you and just keep your content coming cuz it's quality

its not about anyone apart from the people running it making money and getting more exposure on their socials, I have heard from several people that the LP's are not very nice,

Hello Jon, great video, you certainly tell it like it is ! I just tend to chuckle at the famous for 5 minutes brigade! We are all basically Tatters, the rag and bone man 😂, some folk just do it with delusions of grandeur! Im a small time reseller never heard of the resell summit until after it happened but im not in the social media community only started looking after i went to the ebay open thing which was good and free! Having a look around for ideas etc so subscribed i also like polish pete and also self employed student mum

Totally agree Jon. Hit the nail on the head. I find the "RU-vid Resellers" literally think they are celebrities. Its total cringe! I have learnt alot doing my own thing before the ebay app was even available and by straight forward youtubers like yourself. Thanks for saying it how it is.

I have heard numerous stories about how cliquey it is. Why would I go somewhere to be ignored or gossiped about by negative people. People must feel threatened by competition. Lots of people could create their own reseller communities which are more inclusive.

I agree and feel the same way, I’ve also come out of Facebook reselling groups and Instagram altogether because if you scratch the surface slightly, there seems to be a lot of ego’s, as well as snide and passive aggressive comments being made by people who portray themselves as professionals and lovely kind gentle people, not all of them obviously but enough where it’s put me off. Keep doing what you are doing appreciate you saying it how it is.

I do think there’s loads of bigging it up within the reseller world

I am newish into the reselling RU-vid "community" I have been around in business for 18 years but I have restarted on ebay recently and came to RU-vid for motivation. I think I have some how managed to bypass what seems to be the dark side of the "community" *lucky me* but for watching over a few of your videos tonight I believe you are a totally genuine. I have seen a few snide remarks in Facebook groups.... not about you... but from people who seem to have a god complex/ know it all and look down on a lot of youtubers for giving up info for free... and seem to look down their noses on other resellers in general and think they are the best of the best when I reality looking at their sales in sold listings on ebay I would be surprised if they are breaking even.. any way I like to ramble (adhd) and have gone off topic (not sure what my point was right now) random haha but any way yeah.. keep up with what you are doing, your videos are more interesting than many and watching though a few I can see your total honestly and raw emotion. Hold your head up high and keep doing what you are doing. Cant remember at this stage if it was this video or another where you said what you would like from a reselling style "summit" but which ever It was you are on point and I think that's what the majority of people would also like!

That summit is just about blowing smoke up each other’s backsides. Not for me. I follow a few of these so called expert re sellers on eBay and quite frankly the ebay feedback from these people is very poor. Do your own thing and keep up the good content.

I think the silence of some people speaks volumes, I’ve un-followed a lot of people this week, if I want to follow influencers there a lot better ones out there. It’s very easy to work out cost regarding this event a lot of money was made, which is fair enough we all want to earn 🤷‍♀️ but we all normally do it with honesty and hard work. I don’t think a certain person has done a honest days work in there life 🙈

ive never understood the appeal of going to these events unless you just want to be in the same room as your fav youtuber lol. paying to meet up and see youtubers in person so they can tell you exactly what they say in their videos. no thanks. never had to desire to show up to any of these events.

i got a message from a friend saying to watch this video so i did and must say i was shocked that you were being asked to pay £75 to go there £75 for what? i seen a couple of videos and once i seen who was on the top table giving advice i just switched off if you need advice on how to sell seriously find something else to do its a shame you didn't mention names would have been interesting anyway i have subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing more all the best from b'lucky

Totally agree with everything you said. Some of these RU-vid sellers dont even have a business account and sell on private accounts. For example Reseller George E sells on 2 private accounts but bleets on about his business, total fraud. They are quick to delete your comments when you expose them on their channels.

Exactly why I didn't go to any, just a money grab, cashing in on the boom that was reselling I thought. Overheard stallholders a couple of times refer to one reseller involved and they wasn't complimentary about them, totally different to how they come across on camera and since then can't watch their videos in the same way. I'm not against people making money off events for a fair price and fair reward in return, but it seems what you get for £75 is the equivalent to last nights reheated pizza, old info just rehashed. To be fair though I have never really wanted to "be involved" in the community, was quite happy enough plodding along on my own, sadly now I have Cadgy tagging along cramping my style 🤣🤣

I've been a reseller for longer than some of them have been alive lol it's like telling your grandmother how to suck eggs basically and they will soon all come unstuck as wot knot will not last long as they don't advertise it enough I've spoken to the general public and they have never heard of it! some of the resellers are trying to get big too quickly going from bigger storage units every few months I'm talking about jon L for that one, and also how do they justify the price of £75 when most of what was there you could have learnt for free on youtube.

I’ve been reselling trainers for almost a year now, I don’t know if there’s any difference between footwear and what you do, but I wouldn’t even think of going to one of those events. I just see it as a job for me to make money doing what I love. You don’t need them Jon, you’re doing great with your selling and the channel, I agree you’re a bit odd lol but we all are in our own ways, but to say shit behind your back is just snide asf. Keep doing what you’re doing man, you’re killin it.

As someone who does this as a side hustle to my career, it all seems a bit pathetic to be honest.

What i find to be funny about these reseller experts is that they have absolutely no clue beyond the uk and us market. The amount of football clothing(tracksuit vintage tops from the 90s and 00s of foreign teams)i have picked up and sold for good profit from vinted is insane. At the end of the day the key is to sell what you enjoy selling. If ebay removed the counterfeiters and Chinese sellers we would all be happy and jolly.

The summit is a clear cash grab. The "experts" are all youtubers, there are a lot more experts out there who people haven't heard from who actually do make good money. Why would people pay to hear the same thing they have heard many times, the only reason is the fanboys can see their favourite youtuber! I can't wait for WhatNot to go the route of Poshmark and watch the RU-vidrs cry! As for you Jon, I like your videos, they are open and honest. Keep it up and don't join the cult. I know you will never say, which I respect, but I would love to know who is in that whatsapp group and how toxic they are.

Alot of the original youtube resellers only come back on RU-vid to advertise their whatnot stores, seems all half hearted, #lolascashgrab
