@@WeddingFilmSchool I owned Rode filmmaker kits, saramonic UwMic9, and for the last 2 years the Sennheiser g4 EW 500 with MKE2 lav. The Deity is better then all of them put together

Glad that the stupid ban on transmitter/recorders has been fixed. Yes, time-code with internal recording, 100mW output, and all the rest provides incredible flexibility the Rode Wireless Go II can't touch.

It works and sounds a ton better than the road wireless go ii, by the way

I just got these and I'm very impressed by the features and build quality. However, the thing to realize about 2.4Ghz is 1. penetration through objects, including human bodies, can be challenging, but for wedding work in particular 2. many hotels blanket their Wi-Fi coverage so heavily across the 2.4 and 5Ghz bands in a way that makes even the best channel-finding technology suffer. 3. I would say I've noticed with other 2.4 Ghz devices that having a large number of cell phones in a room can cause issues similar to 2, but I am hopeful the BP-TRX can overcome these. Nice range test though, good to know these will shoot straight that distance without the need to bounce off walls for reception.

Nice video! Did you notice the distortion when testing this? At around 7 min 14 sec it's really noticeable. This crackling sound can be noticed throughout the range test... Is this some kind of clipping because of the signal being to hot? Sound Speeds also noticed this in his (crazy long) review video. This setup can do a lot of things. One thing I was wondering. Can it record, transmit and do timecode at the same time? As in: Could you have the two BP-TRX transmitters setup to transmit to the dual receiver (Deity Deluxe set), have time code running and record audio to the SD card all at the same time. If that is possible you could add a third BP-TRX to the camera as a timecode box and have a really great transmission system with time coded recordings... Can't really find if this is possible in the small manual that I can find online. Keep up the good work!

> Can it record, transmit and do timecode at the same time? Yes, I don't have the dual receiver, but with the regular BP-TRX it works.

Wish you would have covered whether or not it's possible to record 2 TX to 1 RX and if you can pull and split a stereo feed from the RX output and send each TX's feed to individual inputs on a Mixpre. For context, I did a film race this weekend with a scene with two actors. Would have been nice to get a feed from each TX into one RX (instead of two) to keep my handheld rig small but be able to output L and R stereo feeds from the RX to separate inputs on my MixPre-3ii so that in post, I have two separate mono channels and can equalize separately. If this configuration is possible, it's game over and I'm on board.

You can do exactly this. Deity have a Dual Receiver which they sell with these Transmitters. It's called the 'Deluxe Kit'. It will be everything you need to feed your MixPre-3ii. Check the link below and hope it helps! www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1642316-REG/deity_microphones_ddcdeluxekitus_connect_deluxe_kit_2_4.html

is it posible to use the Deity BP-TRX as a receiver and the mic input at the same time? I would like to use the BP-TRX on camera with a small boom mic plugged into it plus the Deity HD-TX for the handheld talent.

In short, they were trash in most of the features they were branded for, but they are perfect for standalone recorders. The only really useful feature is the ability to record internally with time code…that’s just my subjective opinion. They didn’t stay in production long most likely because of the many in depth reviews showing all of its flaws, especially the one by Sound Speeds (check his RU-vid page for Review)… I have 10 of them by the way and I absolutely love them as standalone TC recorders. I use them in every wedding to mic up the whole wedding party, but as wireless transmitters they are trash, but in defense of Deity, they noticed it early, stopped production and brought out the updated Deity Theos wireless system that boasts to be a lot better. Along with my BP-TRXs as standalone recorders. I’m invested in the Rode Wireless Pro system, that in my opinion is at a better price point than the Diety Theos and does the exact same thing in a smaller, more compact form factor. They are wonderful. Hope this helps. ciao

@@WeddingFilmSchool okay. I had another question. How do you feel about this system today vs a 32 bit recorder and staying wired? I just don’t want noise, and I don’t wan to clipping. I ordered the interview kit, but I was debating sending it back and getting a zoom or tascam, but I like the idea of wireless, run and gun setup. I just don’t want to short myself.

For what it’s worth by still use a Tascam DR10 and Zoom H6 for most weddings. I use this for certain situations and commercial.
