Yes indeed. I played EQ2 years, and years ago ....and I have never felt the same level of satisfaction in other games when it comes to housing. EQ2 has the absolute BEST! I really always liked their crafting AND the auction house. If they would do a refresh of the skins and character models, I think they'd bring in a lot more folks because the game is still enjoyable....it's just hard to look at when one has been exposed to games like Black Desert....and they wouldn't even have to be at that level.
Unlike, say Star Wars Galaxies, there is no downside to not paying your upkeep regularly. In SWG your house will start to decay if your maintenance fund runs out, and you have to pay the arrears to repair it. In EQ2, having the upkeep money run out just means that you can't access the home until you make the (current) upkeep payment. Actually, there might be more to it than that... I have only done sales directly on the broker. It is possible to set up salesmen furniture in your house (which might avoid transaction fees on the broker?). It could very well be that having your upkeep run out will disrupt your sales.
