You guys should look into ketotifen (actually cheaper in Japan) and Nasalcrom. They're mast cell stabilizers, so they block allergic reactions before they can start. Antihistamines only block histamine. I'm allergic to cats myself unfortunately & were caring for strays after I literally grew up with them. I also have an overactive immune system. Reishi also is available in Japan and is an immunomodulator. Good luck with the kitties. 😹✨

If Chris spends enough time with your cats his allergies can actually lessen because his body will build up a tolerance to their cells. My husband gets hives/sneezy with cats, but spent sufficient time with my own that his allergies disappeared and now only get hives from cats he's never met or rarely sees. Just to give you guys extra hope :)

my bf was allergic to cats too and then I got one and I think it was gradual exposure therapy or something because now he's totally fine and they're besties... good thing too cuz that may have been a deal breaker for me, just like Sharla lol
