I'm going to keep a small thread pinned here with some small improvements that will make the rig better. Thanks reddit! Firstly, the way I show the camera off here is a little too top heavy on the shoulder rig. The obvious solution is to scoot the camera back as far as you can, and make sure the battery hangs as far back as it can. Second, I would also recommend using some cable clamps to keep the rig tidy and protected from cable snags.
The NATO Rail - Originally known as the Picatinny rail. The Picatinny Arsenal was tasked in 1992 by the Pentagon to develop a standardized mounting system after the U.S. Army was dissatisfied with the contemporary mounting system on handheld tactical weapons :) I love the NATO system on my rig. I shoot Video with the FX30... and I shoot NATO 5.56mm rounds with my AR15 that has a holographic scope mounted to a NATO rail :) That's an awesome setup you have there! Great video!
Nice video. Please explain the monitor extention arm. I don't see it in the description. You said something like you got it for diving undereater house??? Thank you
Dang this is such a good rig! The way you can easily transition from shoulder and handheld is so efficient. Makes me wish I watched this video before shelling out the cash when building my shoulder rig.
Hey Caleb, thanks for watching! Sorry for the late reply, I'm getting used to being on RU-vid still lol. Will be posting a lot more Cinematography related content!
