Its interesting to see the dynamic/difference between Brawl and EDH. This version of Gitrog seems unplayable in Brawl but is actually very powerful in EDH where repetitive single target removal isn't as aggressively present.

TBF in brawl you only have to deal with one opponent so single target removal puts you even at card advantage, while in EDH single target actually puts you at card disadvantage against your opponents overall. Watching the Professor's breakdown of control really put things into perspective to me as to how important/unimportant control pieces are in a multiplayer format, since I don't have much experience in them.

You could definitely add in some cards to help protect it and use more of your own discard to force them to get rid of removals. Typical baseline Gitmog decks that aren't turbo ramp style always get screwed over by removal too easily and then you're just top decking. Some of the most fun commanders for EDH aren't even remotely viable in brawl due the reason you just stated.

I actually made a Standard Deck with Gitrog as the big finish... So far he's only been saddled a few times, but when it happens... Every time, the opponent just scooped.

I'm still gonna enjoy the content, and it's totally understandable if it's a little half-assed! They can't all be bangers, but boy do you try! I do think it'd be cool to give this commander another go, if you want to. Otherwise, I trust your judgement to play cards you actually like!

I love the gitrog but this one just isn’t meant to be. In 1v1 there is just too much good removal where as in a 4 person free for all its much better as people tend to play less removal and more over the top things which gitrog can compete with. Fun guy, just sad that probably won’t see him do anything cool unless it’s in the worst commander show with the gang.

Love the skipped lethal just to mount the frog. The goal of the video was accomplished, lol. The frog is so much more fun in edh. Brawl is such a disappointing format. Most games devolve into who has the most removal :/

I get that, but this is a vacay video and the alternative is no video at all. Maybe some would prefer that, but I think the majority want a video even if it’s a tad half-assed
