I give all my hand me downs to my SIL and she boxes them up to send to her family in the Philippines, what she doesn't keep for herself, she's always welcome to first dibs. ❤
Once something is in my closet I find it difficult to let go, so I’m in awe of your ability to ruthlessly purge. 😊 Because I struggle to let go of stuff, my solution is to try to evaluate before I buy / return stuff as soon as possible if I think it won’t work (because it’s itchy or otherwise uncomfortable, not a flattering color or style, something I probably don’t need etc) or to tailor something that almost works but is a little off. I still struggle with purging but that approach lessens the issue! 😂 Re the caramel colored leather blazer: it’s really pretty but I think you said it doesn’t fit right? Maybe a tailor could fix it so that it becomes something you reach for all the time? Just a thought. 😊
I also go through my closet a couple of times a year, but I have things that I pack and store (in my basement) due to size. I am constantly trying to lose weight and I’ve been a bit of a yo-yo! I don’t like to see things in my closet that don’t fit (too big or too small) but I am always afraid that I’ll need them again as my weight shifts! It would be great to stay the same size year after year so I could build a great wardrobe…that’s the goal!
The pink t shirt is a great colour for you, no need for makeup 🙂 This video was timely for me because I’m having building work on my house from next week onwards, and I have had to move almost everything into my rather small bedroom. Some of it will need to be decluttered as the seasons change. But on the positive side, most of my clothes are things I keep and use for many years.
Hey, Lori! I always look forward to your videos and I was looking forward to seeing this one! Unfortunately, there were issues with the audio feed - your sound went in and out several times and I missed quite a bit! Was it just me??? I’m going to try running it again and hope for better results!
Hey Barbara! I’ve had a few people tell me the same thing so it’s not you. I’m so sorry! I don’t remember it having issues when I filmed it last year but something must’ve happened. I so apologize because I really try my best to have good audio and production quality. I’ll do better! Thanks for letting me know! ❤️
When you can’t decide what to keep, go through and get rid of what you know you want to purge. If your unsure keep and do another mini piece a few weeks later. I always purge the stuff I was unsure of!
I’ve noticed a lot of boxy styles as well. I think J Crew and Banana Republic still carry more fitted t shirts. I’ve been reading that Fall trends will include a lot of oversized styles. I’m not a fan lol 😂
I'm the same way with certain washes of blue jeans and those were just way too blue. I like a denim that is more neutral- light medium was that can go with all basic colors and not compete with those colors.
I guess I'm weird.... I don't wear or own jeans 🤷 My husband & I share a 5' closet with 1 rod & 1 shelf for all our clothes.... it is the only closet in our entire house! So a closet like yours looks enormous to me 😆
If you need to change the color of the jeans, assuming you otherwise love them, is to put a bit of bleach in the water and mix it up and put the jeans in.
I do not subscribe to if you haven’t pulled for, purge. I believe if you don’t like it anymore or if damaged, then purge. But if you haven’t worn a pink cardigan but there’s nothing you dislike about it, keep it because you never know when you’ll need it. I don’t believe in purging only to rebuy.
No leather. Only very thin and tall women, in my opinion. Liked the tan shorts you had on, would get in other colors and another tan pair, for the summer months. I like shopping at goodwill, when at weight I do not want to stay at, and for household items, always.
@@LoriLundquist I think you’ll like their brand. Every body type is different and it’s a little trial and error on my part but I can order and X-short inseam and it works for me
