The Ultimate Crash Course on Blood Sugar - Overcoming Diabetes Naturally
My Favorite Supplement List for Blood Sugar Support:
Vitamin D - bit.ly/2MVmYrO
Magnesium (and calcium) -bit.ly/2VMAOQ0
B Vitamins - bit.ly/2jWTVbD
Knowing what causes blood glucose (blood sugar) elevations is critical to naturally managing diabetes and pre diabetes. As this disease is a disease of lifestyle choice (diet, exercise, stress, etc), it can be controlled with a change in behavior far better than with medications.
Understanding that grain, dairy, sugar, caffeine, and excessive stress can all cause an increase in blood sugar is an important first step.
What nutrients lower sugar?
It is also important to understand that blood sugar, insulin, and energy production are regulated by vitamins and minerals. Some of the most important nutrients involved in blood sugar regulation are:
1. Magnesium
2. Zinc
3. Vitamin D
4. Chromium
5. B-vitamins
These nutrient levels can be measured, and they can also be supplemented with should they be deficient.
Many doctors claim that diabetes is caused by poor genetics, but this theory is blatantly incorrect. Again nutrition, exercise, the right diet and nutrients play a far greater role in naturally overcoming diabetes than any type of medicine intervention.

Omw! This is where the medical profession has failed the American people. I have never had a dr want to check my magnesium levels, or potassium, or calcium, or anything like that. My dr never told that my PCOS was diabetes in my ovaries. No one ever told me that the meds I had taken would deplete my body of essential nutrients. I'm glad I watched this episode today but how do I find a dr that will work with me to reverse the diabetes? I feel hopeless in this area? Thank you for what you do.

I believe that my late nightly prayers are being answered by God, for the facts I desperately surfacing through the net trying to find answers to my type 2 diabetes and fibromyalgia which 2 combined puts me in the living with chronic pain 24/7; I luckily come across on Dr. Osborn video, since then I'm connected to his RU-vid channel, educating myself to get a help for my struggle, but honestly I haven't seen any doctor break down the cycle of diabetes like this one, from now on you're my unseen doctor, I love all your educational skills and knowledge, be bless with long life and wealth health, Love/Peace 💯💥

I did keto for seven months without a break. It lowered my inflammation but it utterly decimated my energy. I have never liked sweet things but I knew I needed to stop when I started craving cake. I didn't like cake even when I was a child. Keto has permanently changed my relationship with sugar - I now get a headache from a satsuma. The only fruit I can eat now are dark berries. Paleo and intermittent fasting restored my energy and sleep and resolved the keto muscle cramps.

I have dawn phenomenon..even during time on medication, fasting was high. Came off metformin er 5 months ago. Fasting averages 123-145..then after 30 minutes to an hour, levels average out and are good rest of day. My sleep is not the best, so know this is a culprit too. Thanks for the extended vlog here.

Thank you Dr. Oborne for this valuable information. I always enjoy all your videos. I learned so much from your video. I feel like I went back to medical school and you are my lecturer. Unfortunately, long time ago when I was studying medicine, no one explained as clearly as you explained it. And what is unfortunate is that medical students lack education about the benefits of macros and micronutrients associated with physiology, biochemistry and various symptoms of the disease as you explain. I will continue all the teaching and knowledge that you share with as many people in Indonesia as possible to combat various metabolic diseases due to malnutrition. Thank you so much again Dr. Oborne. God bless you always

Thank you Dr Osborne....I am a nutritional therapist and I wholly agree with you that the ketogenic diet over time is not going to be healthy; although it may correct some short term problems. It is very untested over time (the inuits adapted by having very large livers to compensate for the high omega 3_)....and balance is the key in all things. The mediterranean diet (not swamped with fried foods as in some areas) to my mind is the healthiest with good balance of proteins and fats and health polyphenol rich vegetables and olive oils with vegetables not too high in lectins and oxalates. My parents both lived past 90 - my mother at 92 is still alive...and what did both of them do....they ate a balanced whole food diet, and were consistent in doing this throughout their life!!

I've told doctors for decades it is after eating sugar that my BP goes way too high, and they look at me like I have 3 heads! So I exercise, lift weights, and mostly avoid sugar, go to the doctor and my BP is fine! I am concerned that my blood sugar tests are up and down, now I know why thanks to you! Already avoiding grains, but I do eat too much fruit and haven't stopped sugars long enough (2 weeks off sweets), eat very scarce dairy. I am achey and tired and foggy all the time. Figured being 57 was a contributor.

Good Morning Doc! Thank you for sharing such valuable information! May I ask what diet we should follow? I try balanced such as meat, eggs, fruits, beans and veggies, a little whole fat yogurt and cheese, dark chocolate, nuts and seeds. No wheat, but I do eat rice, quinoa, oats occasionally. Very minimal on processed foods. Use raw honey and maple syrup and coconut sugar to sweeten things. Use real butter, avocado, olive, coconut oil. Just curious what your diet looks like!
