And the average joe thinks a dragon fruit is a dragon fruit. So much variety. The genetic biodiversity blows my mind. Thank you for sharing what is possible.
Lol why the hell are they 3 times the price of a mango when they are so easy to grow? Such a shame only the flavourless ones are sold, we have had about 80 so far this year, ate a chameleon variety last night. Sweet, tart strawberry flavour, absolutely delicious.
Yom! Researching tasting videos to pick my very first variety to grow. Sounds like seed grafting is preferable to cuttings in terms of production? This video is so helpful, taking notes 🤓
If you look at the stigma on your (Rosa) flowers they look more yellow than green, that is not the same as the UC pictures. Makes me wonder if there is an error in the ID of Spicy Exotics. Or maybe the stigmas vary, I'm running into the same situation with our "Physical Graffiti" from various sources, UC says the stigma should be "lime green" but maybe it is too light to show in the pictures. My suspicion is that a lot of the plants we get from others are mislabeled. I'm glad to see more vids like these because it will help.
@@RAREDRAGONFRUIT how can I get them from them? I live in Texas. I got AB and VW, trying to get most of the self variety first the the cross pollination
@@RAREDRAGONFRUIT You can get a nice one at the grocery store, *if* they are locally produced and they can get them delivered and shelved fast! Then they don't end up being picked while still not-quite ripe.
