The best part about this phone is it's powerful enough to run the PS2 version of Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ at 2x resolution, with 60fps cheats enabled. It's a true beast.
Only for a handful of games. Kh 1 + 2, resident evil code veronica, and a few other off titles. It came a long way early this year for sd865 or better or iphone 11 or better. Though for a couple weeks it looks like he took a break
Exactly what I did with my old LG G6 and an old Dualshock 4 that was having problems with drift (not a problem with most older systems). Travel emulation gave them both a new purpose. And I learned it all from ETA Prime.
I won't buy a phone that doesn't have a headphone jack and a premium charger included period. F Apple to hell and Samsung too for copying them after a year. P.S. the most Amazing phone in the market right now is LG V60 Thin Q 5G Dual Screen. (The $50 case includes a second identical screen.) Aside from dual screen it has native digital pen support for the Bamboo 2 stylus. It has 2 fantastic screens great for multi tasking and gaming (you can customize the controls on the second screen). It is really fast. It has a Headphone jack, great speakers, and Quad Dac premium audio. Battery life and charging experience is Amazing on it. Decent large screen at 60 Hrz. better than Decent cameras front and back. Takes good pictures at night with fkash. The only thing it is missing to be absolute everything is a higher refresh rate screen (which most people don't need) and a zoom lens camera. I bought mine for $700 from T-Mobile. It can now be found for $400 on eBay.used in excellent condition. Sadly LG gas decided not to make anymore premium phones. So this is the last of it. I love this phone so much I bought a second one as a spare.
@@feedmyintellect you won't buy a phone without a headphone jack that's what i thought but i have the rog phone 3 with no headphone jack and it has 2 usb c ports and i have to say if you have a phone with 2 usb c ports you won't need a headphone jack
Love how company's are sending you devices to review now a day. Just shows how great your videos are. You definitely deserve it. Keep up the good work and thanks again for the great content.
I always love these reviews. I rarely comment, but I have to say you have one of the best channels like this around, and you always do an awesome job testing and showing the tech. Please keep the great content coming!
It wouldn’t be a clone, the Nintendo switch’s design is not entirely original, this means that the switch is a clone itself, and anything that follows the switches design language is a clone of a clone.
@@gerboog the design? Dude it's literally an nvidia shield clone. It even looks like one minus the joy cons which is why gen 1 only need software mods to put android on it. Look whose talking now doofus. You can look it up as well. It's not based on nexus 9 tech either. Only a handful of them had tegra x1. Pixel c and nvidia shield
I honestly can't believe Tekken 6 Dark Resurrection is a PSP game. It looks ridiculously good. I know that the upscaling is helping, but still. The level of detail is insane, along with the fluidity of the animations.
But cant play games the switch can. That tells you everything. Who cares if it's more "powerful" when it is not optimized to run games current handhelds can do easily.
@@jponz85 i believe there is a switch emulator out already and different companies with joy con like control attachments you can buy online you can turn your phone into a look alike switch and smartphones can emulate every handheld console except vita which sooner or later will happen
I’m so lost. How is it this phone emulates better than some of the pc builds you test? Unreal. I’m just looking for a mini PC that can emulate ps2 and n64 right...
Great one ETA Prime. Can't believe this phone actually surpassed one of the benchmark tests. Lol. Please test Castlevania: Lords of Shadow on Citra, Brothers in Arms: D-day on ppsspp, & Silent Hill 4 & Killzone on Damon ps2. Thanks
765g isn't fine for gaming on anything. My 845 is pushing it right now, but the 765g is much worse than even that (for gaming, just using the phone is fine with any 6XX SOC from 2019+ or better (although a better SOC makes the phone faster obv).
@@steamdeckknights8978 does it fit on the Red magic 6 I am feeling that he used a 5g on the Kishi because I found out the Kishi only supports maximum of 6.7 Red magic 6 is 6.8 and I don’t wanna risk all my money just to be disappointed and I also can’t return it because I live in Egypt and I will buy it from a foreign country from a relative
The funny thing is you see a lot of videos on "budget builds" for gaming PCs with 6th gen i5s or older in an office PC that aren't even close to this on Geekbench!
Hey ETA Prime, do u reckon 12GB ram would be sufficient alongside the SD888 chipset for emulation across the board right up to the Switch (Egg NS) or would it be worthwhile to splurge a little more for the 16GB one?
Just ordered the Pro with free Cyberpods thanks to your video. I hope you get some commission from these companies as I’ve now bought this phone, a Powkiddy V90, a PocketGo SN30, 2 Sinden light guns, an RG351V & an EliteMini H31G thanks to your reviews!
Wow what an amazing phone. I was happy to see you do a little touch screen controls at the end with the 3DS emulator, I'd love to see you do a full video on using touch controls with each emulator, I think that would be awesome! Great vid as always ETA
An interesting and powerful phone. I question the Antutu score as I believe ZTE was found to cheat that score. Sadly I need a phone with monthly security updates for work and prefer phones with know software support timelines , so I'll be sticking with Samsung or OnePlus for now. Sadly this is out of my price range to be a gaming and emulation device. Speaking of: Would you recommend getting a 128GB OnePlus 6T for emulation up to PSP at 2x (specifically the Crisis Core HD texture pack)? They are going for about $200 on Ebay and can be flashed with LineageOS. Have you looked into the GameSir X2 2021/D-pad edition or is it not of interest to you due to not using the Android Switch emulator?
I got a Lenovo G8X Thinq for 195 on eBay. Should be a little bit faster than the 6T (SD 855 vs 845). I also got the Gamesir X2 and it's amazing. Works very well with everything from emulation to Doom on Delta Touch. Eggns emulator is good some games are working but it's not perfect. Still has some ways to go. Plus switch games are really huge for phones
*_This phone is almost perfect, if they had a removable SD card slot. Remove the useless 2 cameras, and add a bottom type c it would have been amazing_*
@@SirWhiskersThe3rd why would you get this? terrible cameras, garbage software support, poor OS skin in general, ugly, heavy and very unwieldly if you're holding it for a long time
@@roboticvenom1935The support is garbage, and for me it's not that heavy but it is unweildy, The camera is average, and the os can be replaced. The reason why you get that phone is because it's 30% faster than the competition and not only that it can sustain hard loads for a long time all thanks to that fan.
Love the videos dude but I normally watch from TV which doesn't let me leave comments. Keep up the great work, I'm going to be loading up my new Red Magic 6 with games this weekend!
For PS2 you always go to God of War. Have you ever thought of trying Def Jam fight for New York? It's harder to run but man does it look great when upscaled.
I got a base model of ROG 5 on the way. SD888, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage. No external fan or controller. CNY 3,999 (USD 615). Not sure which one will perform better in emulations.
It is slightly higher than rog 5 on Antutu benchmarks. In real world, both are just about the same and will be able to run the same games using emulators. One thing to note is that the RM6 does better in cooling so the phone won't be as hot as rog 5 when under heavy loads.
Man we really need a PS2 Emulator, it can't be that no one is bothering to work on one, considering that the PS2 is such a popular console and has been emulated for years on PC. Hopefully a development team comes forward and we can support them.
This is awesome, thanks for putting it up! Been wanting a review for this guy ever since it was launched on China. Guess the biggest question is how it compares to the ROG Phone 5, and wether it's worth the price premium.
It's superior to rog 5 in terms of gaming performance and cooling. Rog 5 software is better, more stable, less glitches and more features. But if you just wanna game, RM6 will not disappoint.
I don't care what the specs are on this. I have learned my lesson with the previous Red Magic phones. They are slow to update to the latest version of android, if at all. The moment another Red magic phone is announced they completely stop supporting the previous. Look it up if there's doubt. Get a ROG phone or something. Personally I sticking to then Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy Tab S7+. They run every emulator you need anyway.
@@christopher.costner ok i have 23fps on 1.16.5 without optifine on 3 chunks render distance and 50fps on 1.12 5chunks with optifine i have snapdragon 636 and I'm using the 64 bit runtime
I just ordered one. I'm so excited to get it. It will be my first flagahip phone. Replacing both my Galaxy a51, and gpd win 2. Can't wait to be able to run portable Genshin Impact.
@@balistahr.o.g1103 just look up the bands cricket supports and compare against the phone. I use Walmart Family Mobile which uses the tmobile network, and I get great coverage and even near constant 5G where I live. I do know in the US tmobile is the only network that has a 5G band this phone supports, but cricket would probably support some 4G bands.
This device is made for people like you that can't or don't want to pay premium prices for a premium product. I am not a rich man by any means but I do buy myself a new toy every year and I have the Red Magic 5 and let me tell you they are great devices....cept texting kinda sucks but that is one lil flaw considering
Awesome review I really look to see what your opinion on devices are before I make a legitimate decision on what I'm gonna buy great channel thanks appreciate all the hard work they do
Hi @ETA PRIME. Great vidéo !!! BTW i have to buy one console to my young daughter. Between RetroStation 14k and the "Super Console X", what's the best one according to you? have a nice week-end !
This is hitting me right in the wallet. I do need a new phone after the old ones started to show its age. But the price... Wonder what a kidney sells for these days.
Phones like this the companies compromise on most essential thing like battery. Company should had put somehow 6000 to 7000 mah battery. Currently, i am using Samsung M51 with 7000 mah battery. The battery literally finishes by mid night after playing games whole day. I recommend RedMagic to put this as must.
Why is the thumbnail running a Gamesir with what is most likely Sunshine running off of the Switch emulator and yet, nothing to that effect on the video :/
You tricked me by having Gamesir in the thumbnail, but using Kishi in the vid. I'm confused now, because at 6.8", it is longer than Sony Xperia 1 III 6.5", but the Sony is supposed to be too long for the Kishi.
I wish there were Android TV Boxes with this Hardware inside, i absolutely dont care for Touchscreen Gaming, and i dont want to cary around external Gamecontroller addons with me all the time. Right now iam using a Android TV Box called "X99 Max" thats not one of those cheap low end ones with Garbage Hardware Inside, but some really good Hardware (CPU Amlogic S922X, GPU Arm Mali-G52, 4G DDR4 RAM, payed 90€ but normal price is around 130€) and it works really great with more or less all Emulators including Dreamcast (redream) and PSP (PPSSPP). With PPSSPP i have to tweak some of the Settings here and there, but that probably depends on the game, some of Effects used in Valkyrie Profile are kicking down the FPS to under 10FPS (Transparent Ripple / Wave Effects) other than that it stays on 60FPS most of the time. I also tried Damon PS2 (what a shamefull Scam, says Free on Playstore, but you cant do anything without either paying or watching like a million Ads, cant even go into the Settings without another add being thrown at you) i tried Killzone on it and...well it was unplayable around 5-6 FPS LOL, but that was to be expected....
