Roy did it for publicity. Most of the money in UFC at the time was your sponsors so winning TUF guaranteed him a bag because then more sponsors wanted him
@@BosoxPatsfan603 I once asked Ax Murderer Silva about the door and he looked at me cluelessly. Awkward silence for a minute. Rampage is a funny guy whom I like but he took it too far with Schooner. Jokes are one thing but he made a point out of preying on that kid which is just shitty.
Because his cardio was shit and he got KOed by a guy who weighed WAY less than him, in the first round, in a promotion that was built around Kimbo. Kimbo fucking sucked.
@@LND209 I wouldnt say Kimbo sucked entirely. But Kimbo came into MMA and in the professional scene at an extremely late age. He came in at the age majority of MMA fighters retired at. I honestly think he did alright, for the age he came in at for how late in age he started to train like this.
Seeing what kind of person Kimbo was was really my favorite thing from any season of TUF. Just the complete and total opposite of what you’d probably expect. A thoughtful, introspective, humble, honest and genuinely good person.
Haha i was just about to say that.. "haha titties could win a wet tshirt contest!" "Wait hol up he said hes gonna come to 205 to fight me.. now hes crossing the line".. like what 🤣
@@dosidicusgigas1376 yeah squaring up to Rampage was never going to work, but I just dont think he knew how to handle it. He gets on national tv to chase his dream and instead one of his heroes is just ripping him constantly, it is pretty harsh.
@@joelsilfver1769 When your "major trolling" consists of singling out one particular person and constantly demeaning and belittling them that is called bullying.
I'm like a die hard, lifelong MMA fan and I never heard that quote from kimbo. " The enemy, the inner me" quote was very poignant and shows how thoughtful sensitive the guy he was. God bless his soul. Rest in peace kimbo..
Looking at Kimbo struggling to run had me hurting because he died from heart complications. Will be missed but his legacy lives on through the internet, his kids, and his prodigy Jorge Masvidal.
u mean the jouneyman masvidal who talks big but constantly looses to elites and got famous for a knee, yeah his 15 minutes of fame are done he is nothing compared to the top guys, and kimbo was no different just a brawler when a put in a cage got exposed for the weakling he was
@@kazal9737 because he is a journeyman he is no prodigy. All he achieved is that bogus BMF prop belt and never come close to gold. He isn't an elite sane with Kimbo both got famous but both never achieved anything noteworthy or got hands on gold Kimbo more so when he got in the cage he always had his ass handed to him. It's not an insult it's facts moron
I got a picture with Marcus "The Darkness" Jones a few years ago at a UFC event in Florida. He was up in the stands like a normal dude. It seemed to make his night that I recognized him and wanted a picture with him. He was a really cool guy. You can tell from his time on the show.
It’s actually quite cool and interesting to hear Rampage say he felt ashamed of breaking the door because he said he felt like a kid throwing a temper tantrum
R.I.P. John Madden. He set the bar for Dana White to branch into MMA with: "One thing I know about Kimbo Slice, he's definitely a fighter." and "Whoever can impose their will in this fight will probably win."
Lol as heated as Rashad and Rampage got, they never threw a punch at each other outside of the Octagon. They made sure they got paid, and their fight was actually a really great one
Thought it was out of character for Dana not to see a marketable guy when he saw one. All of a sudden “cocky” isn’t cool with Dana? Every single one of my fat beer drinking friends LOVED Roy Nelson and would’ve paid PPV money just to see him smash a tomato can.
At this time Dana wanted to have an more “authentic” championship or fighter to be won over at this time to combat boxing and WWE, so he didn’t want any gimmick fighters then imo 🤷🏽♂️
Best seaon of tuf by far imo the humor in this season made me cry from laughter. The love hate releationship between them where they didnt know whether to turn it to 100 or just simply clown each other always kept me on edge. The good old days.
I remember Big Country winning. I didn't realize how good Schuab actually did on this show. He really looked to have a bright future if we're being honest, I think he just belonged at 205. Ufc heavyweights are monsters on another level.
Rampage is a perfect example of why it’s so dangerous for big, tough guys to be so quick to lose their temper or misunderstand something because they’re so dumb. Rampage likes to talk a lot of shit to people, but as soon as anyone pushes back, he gets his feelings hurt. 😂
6:20 dude was fully limp and unconscious for 10 seconds before herb dean even checked his hand 😂 herb has definitely caused some unnecessary brain damage over the years
24:22 is so damn poetic or prophetic, or whatever you want to call it. Schaub getting KO’d enough times led to rogan giving him the ‘’you’re not that good’’ retirement talk which led to schaub pursuing standup comedy, something that he’s not good at all in.
@@Ufhhh12 I consider Rogan more a practicing Martial Artist than an actual fighter. Sure he’s competed in Tae Kwon Do tournaments, and maybe a BJJ competition here and there (probably none) but the dude hasn’t jumped into fights for prizes. It’s different when you do that. You’ve seen fighters eat, live, and breathe thar lifestyle and it’s not easy. Don’t think Rogan would have done that for too considering he spent a lot of his 20s pursuing Hollywood.
@@steverogers7601 Mate i meant Joe rogan has no place telling pro fighters whether they suck or nah,, google him sparring against John wayne parr, people hold him in too high regard bc of his spin kicks
yup. he never talked about it in front of everyone, he's like Henry Cejudo never mentioning how many belts he has and Carl Froch never mentioning in front of everyone how many people on Wembley arena on the night he knocked George Groves out.
The introduction of Kimbo and Roy. Roy has done well in his career, but if Kimbo had gotten use to his bulky body he would still be here with us today. I’m very ecstatic that both Kimbo and Jorge were able to have similar start up as well as commemorating UFC 4 video game to Kimbo’s Legacy.
Well, they are at the highest level of professional MMA competition and your boy came in rockin titties. WTF did you expect to happen? Even Fat Rampage didnt have titties.
This was the best season of Ultima fighter of all time. So many moments from this season that I absolutely charish...one of them is the way Marcus reacted to that bug lmao it hit so close to home because that's exactly how I am with bugs lmfao
I love how much Dana hates Roy and Roy is just extremely indifferent to Dana. Roy never was a joke and Dana hated him because he oozed confidence but looked the way he did. Big Country is one of my all time favorites, proving show muscles don't do shit for you without real strength.
On tuf seems like they always let it go longer, even subs. Maybe because a wrongful decision in this situation can literally cost somebody their career
