5:04:00 i personally loved ivy as a character very much , she was truly at the top for me. i feel like she started off with such drive for her career in doing what she was doing to the vanderwoodsons because she had a hard life no family no money but after meeting the vanderwoodsons she recieved all of that and more and loved having a family. and you could also see how caring she was taking care of cece as her own and they tried to take everything from her. she had to leave the only person she had (max) and eventually see him blackmail her not saying anything was right. but unlike carol she could’ve left at anytime and didn’t because she wanted a family

4:34:17 from what i can tell, british sixth form is closer to our freshman year at college than i last years at high school. in american high schools, there are rarely any classes that start preparing you for your major. occasionally you’ll get some advanced classes or specialty courses, but it’s not super common. it’s said that you are supposed to get a bachelors degree in four years at a typical university, but many people take slightly longer because they work and go to school. most college graduates (for bachelor’s degrees) are between 22 and 24. associate degrees are usually a two year ordeal, and are for more vocational programs. if any of that looks wrong, feel free to sound off. this is from what i understand. 🤙

I feel like most ppl I’ve talked to agrees w me (and u) that Serena was an amazing character in the first two seasons but something started to go wrong in season 3 and onwards… Idk she lost purpose and just became really hard to root for But we also need to reminds ourselves that the purpose of the show was to portray these out of touch wealthy characters and the horrible society they’re a part of, so obviously her problems are mainly first-world and selfcentered, all of their problems are mostly. I’ll always be a Blair girl, but I identify more with Serenas characteristics, probably why I dislike her more💀

6:11:30 I felt so bad for Ivy. Every single time I watch the show I always find it hard to watch her plot line and the entire thing makes me dislike Lily and Serena so much during that time. I have no idea if the writers wanted us to feel bad for her or to be happy that the Van Der Woodsen/Rhodes family got their revenge. As much of a bad person that she was in season 6 (with that insane Rufus storyline), she was being manipulated by William who is so much older than her (Ivy is the same age as Lola so she’s like 20/21) and he’s proven to be so evil. I have some sort of peace in knowing that in the end she got some of the money that Cece left for her (it kind of feels deserved) and her autobiography got turned into a movie (with Olivia Burke playing her, that’s honestly such a fun throwback)
If people can’t be forgiven and get better, there is no incentive for them to change. They just stay in a cycle of shame and that’s worse for all of us
Tbh Dan was perfect for Blair was the healthiest relationship in that show and her relationship with Chuck was the toxiciest ...I do think they had chemistry ....Serena on the other hand should have ended up with Nate.Serena is so inmmature she slept with Nate when Blair was with him...she had ages not being with Dan so why would she act so stupis Blair forgave them...
