Hi - it would be great if you reached out to Blackmagic and requested the integration! The integration has to be implemented on their side, but we would be delighted to provide the SDK/API and help with the implementation wherever necessary!
This is great. Really clear and well presented. I like the look of Fjorden very much and applaud how you've created a clever, pocketable solution to a genuine set of iPhone photography problems. Looking forward to giving it a go!
Received mine today, the Ultimate bundle for iPhone 15 Pro Max. Everything is well thought and designed. It will be my secondary camera on field. Apple store employees here in the US were Wow. Will take it out for my son’s graduation ceremony for a blast. Wish me luck 🎉🎉🎉
Great video and helped me make my purchase decision looking forward to it arriving. I also love the app and that it is free and works great even without the grip, looking forward to adding the grip.
Stumbled upon this the other day and found it really interesting. I would love to give it a try! Just bought my iPhone 15 Pro Max and have been taking a ton of photos with it. Looking forward to the new cases being in stock!
Lovely product, with so many features and beautifully designed! Really hope you can figure out how to make it work fully with the upcoming final cut camera app! A couple things i felt could be added: i would love to see the grip be able to be charged from the magsafe attachment to the phone, similar to how some batteries are able to draw power from the phone, could mean you dont need to worry about replacing any internal battery! Going further, i would happily have a beefier grip if it meant being a portable battery pack for the phone as well!
I had commented that the previous video was….old….and very brief. So I’m pleased to see your new release….which is sadly already out of date 🤦🏼♂️😆 can we expect an updated version to cover the video option and other new features in the latest update ?
Hi Fjorden, I’m really considering getting this grip. Can I half press and feel the bite on the bluetooth shutter? Since it is modular, can I attach an external SSD to it? Lastly, I hear you can attach Moment lenses to the Fjorden. Does it support T-mount or M-mount? I have a Sirui 60mm (equivalent) that can be attached to a Moment M-mount case. What about ND filters? Can I mount filters on the Fjorden? Lastly, this is just a pipe dream, but can you, the good people at Fjorden, develop a remote trigger for off-camera flash for iPhone? I have a Godox V1 which is rated at 75 watts/second. I am not sure the Tric flash can take that much power. The photography world would go nuts if you would successfully pull this off.
How about Fjorden grip integration with Adobe Lightroom Mobile, Photoshop, Rush and Premier Pro? Is this something Adobe and Fjorden can work on to bring to market via the API?
Great Grip, I'm finding it's a little slow to fully change modes. For example when doing a close up in manuel mode the EV turns gray, then toi get EV back I have to switch to Auto mode and back to Manuel. Also it's slow to acquire a good close focus.
My grip does not open the app. When I press the shutter button the volym control shows, but no camera! I have registered successfully and the grip is synced with bluetooth. Firmware is latest. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. When I try to open app manually it asks me to register again. What to do?
Just got the Fjorden grip today and I really wanted to like it. I opted for the adhesive adapter since the iPhone 15 Pro Max case isn't set to release until November. The hinge is rather weak. It's already falling back a few times when using as a stand in portrait mode but that's sometthing I can deal with. Another issue I have is that there some wiggle between the grip module and the adhesive plate. Is this wiggle apparent even with the actual iPhone case? I'm hoping they fixed this issue for the iPhone 15 Pro cases....
Hi, you show how you use a macrolens from moment. But what about using tele, wide and anamorphic lenses. I cant see that you have support for setting up different lenses, and the Procamera from Moment doesnt seem to be able to connect to Fjorden grip (only Osmo). So why are you advertizing each others products when you cant use them together. Its a bit annoying, that I cant use the grip with my lenses on the camera!
Hi - Fjorden does work with Moment’s Wide and Tele Lenses as well! Unfortunately, not the Anamorphic Lenses, since the Fjorden App doesn’t offer Anamorphic De-Squeeze. As for the Moment App: Their team reached out to us about integrating the Fjorden Grip controls, and we provided them with our SDK. Please reach out to them and let them know you’d like to use the integration as well 🙂 Cheers, Victor
Do you plan to develop any SSD attachment solutions especially for the 15 pro max? IT would be nice to find a way to integrate at least a 2230 form factor nvme drive.
Love it and enjoy mine. I still don’t understand how to turn off the device. I usually live it to turn automatically but my battery draining. Any advice?
Hi! Glad to know that you enjoy using the Fjorden grip! It will turn itself off after 5 minutes of inactivity, as long as the Fjorden app is not in the foreground. You wake it up by pressing the shutter button.
What about upgrading to new iPhone every year? Does it require buy fjorden MagSafe kit/case from Fjorden every year? Is it possible to buy onetime and use for all upcoming iPhones years after years?
Thanks. Appreciate your response.its a costly matter then. Every year, a user who upgrades the phone has to buy a new case from you. I would advise you to make the tool to work across the model. It will be more appealing to invest and buy your tool.
Bloody impressive ! - How does it mount to a car mount?

Brilliant product, great design and the quality of the grip is just a dream. The only thing I find lacking (the only thing) is that I wish the grip was a tad wider out, big hands struggle with it (I have seen it with my friends who tried it) and even I, who has small hands, find that either my pinky goes numb after a while or I get frozen claw syndrome 😆. I ended up sticking a thin stripe of a lightly cushioned material under the grip, about the same thickness, but just a smidgeon more, so my pinky at least does not goes catatonic after a while. It does cover the battery, but I can always peel it off when it is time to change it. This is probably one of the best purchases I have made in a while.
Great video, thanks for sharing. I got my grip a few days ago and am absolutely loving it so far. Cam I ask a quick question, when I have the grip on and am scrolling through the film presets what does the IDEN one do, it only seems available when I am using the grip and "scrolling" through the options.
Hi Andrew - thanks for the feedback! That's actually a bug, IDEN was a preset we used in internal testing, so it shouldn't have been visible in the public release. We'll remove it :-)
@@fjordenco Hahaha no worries at all, thanks for clearing it up for me, it doesn't look to change anything visually on the screen so I was trying to figure out what it was. I can stop my brain wondering now. Have a great week, I am off to shoot some urban architecture with the grip as reference material for my sketchbook. 🙂
Oh….and I have my grip constantly attached to my iphone 14 Pro Max and find it very easy to pop away in the pocket. I did purchase a couple of moment lenses which sadly don’t work too well with my model of iphone 🤷🏼♂️ unless you have suggestions?
Hi - Moment has a new series of lenses, called the T-Series, which is optimised for the iPhone 14 and newer models (www.shopmoment.com/t-series). They'll also be available for pre-order on our website soon!
Does the he current camera software support a RAW format other than ProRes? Adobe Camera Raw does not do AI functions like AI Denoise on a partially processed ProRes file.
Unfortunately, Fjorden is only suitable for right-handed use. I wish we could offer a left-handed model, but our volumes are still too small to cover the manufacturing cost for a left-handed model. Hopefully, in the future, we'll get there!
Hi Fjorden was designed to be compatible with multiple generations of iPhones. The Fjorden Grip is separate from our iPhone cases, and we'll be making new MagSafe cases for every new generation of iPhones. When you upgrade your iPhone, you can transfer the Grip over to the new phone - it only takes a second because Fjorden attaches with a Quick-Release Clip. Visit our website at shop.fjorden.co to order!
@@ChristelleArmonio Thanks for your response. So unless and until you upgrade the grip, the grip is good for ever to be used with any generation of iPhone as long as the MagSafe case is updated. My question was in relation to different sizes of phones and I got the answer. So the grip size is 1, but cases can be different. Makes perfect sense. Thanks. I am impressed with your product but ‘importing’ it to Canada is becoming way costlier. $60 for ultimate bundle is very high imho. Infact, at that price point of CND$320, free shipping would attract more people towards your product.
yes. This company sells moments lenses too. I saw Moment T series is good for the latest iPhone and better than M series(shown by some expert on youtube)
With the cost of an iPhone, surely, it would be better to have an actual camera such as (again, thinking of the price of an iPhone) a small Leica such as a D-Lux 7 then you have Leica glass as well (you can argue whether you have actual Leica glass or not but that is not the point).
Hi @arshamt - yes, unfortunately we only make cases for the Pro/Pro Max phones, since we didn't have enough demand for the standard iPhones. For those, you can either use the MagSafe Adapter, or (if you don't really use MagSafe that much) the Adhesive Plate, which is more pocketable, but covers the MagSafe area.
@@fjordenco thank you for your quick reply. One last thing.... i dont use the magsafe. but i do have the moment silicone case for moment. will the adhesive plate "stick" firmly on the moment case?
@@fjordenco is there a new grip which will be released in december? on your website it shows the basic bundle on preorder and wont be shipped until december. but there's the same grip on amazon which is already available. is that an older version?
Cuidado con esta gente, pretendian cobrarme aduanas, porque el aparato lo envian desde China, ahora lleva retenido mas de una semana en aduanas y esta gente ni se molestan en contestar a mis correos
What I find absolutely absolutely ridiculous about this set up is that you’ve gotta buy the grip to make the app work and then yes how does that MagSafe grip stay firmly held in your hand without it slipping off while you’re filming also, then you have to buy a case to accommodate grip to make the app work isn’t this like saying I’ll buy a car but first I need to buy the wheels and then the engine and then the roof and then the windows and then the airbag . For Christ sake isn’t it just easier to make the stand alone app this is such a joke
