Can you change things in the .env after you've set it up? I've tried changing thing in my .env file but no matter what I've tried, it just runs what I had in there the first time.

This is perfect. I was just about to setup a cron job to push my printer_config folder to a private repo, but this looks like it will do all of it for me. I hope I can list entire folders instead of having to include each file by name

Question for you from a complete newb. At :57 you SSH'd onto your machine through the terminal but, I'm assuming you have all the information to do so such as the username, password, and IP. How would I do this if I bought a machine with Klipper already installed? Since I bought it with Klipper installed I'm not sure how I can find the necessary information to SSH into it.

Do you have an raspberry pi or sonic pad attached? If not what printer and motherboard do you have?

Been trying to get backups going for nearly a week with no joy... Your procedure uses different steps than the one I've been following from Vorons' site. Gonna take a fresh run at it tomorrow. I'm not a github or Linux savay guy but your procedure just seems to have a better "flow" to it, fingers crossed. Thanks for taking the time to post and share.

You should be able to just delete the folder.

Thanks, followed your instructions and got 3 machines backing up now. Don't really know github, are those github filtering errors all harmless or something that needs to be fixed?

When i try to execute, just get a "Cannot rewrite branches: You have unstaged changes.", and then an error after a few seconds.

@@minimal3dp Tried it, didn't resolve the problem. When i try to do a git pull and enter username and PAT it states "remote: Repo not found."

Where would you find the name of the printer as yours is "printer 5" is that on mainsail name you give your printer ?

It is the name I gave the printer. Does that help?

hey, when im using the macro this "error" is shown: bash: /home/pi/klipper-backup/script.sh: No such file or directory but in this folder is the script.sh. what can i do?

Try to cd into the folder and run the script

Hey, I followed your video step by step, but when I run the Update Git Macro, it added the klipper-backup items to my repository, but it did not create the backed up folder. Then when I run the macro again, I get a bunch of "cp: cannot create regular file" and Permission denied. Also something random saying Author identity unknown. Could you please assist or have any ideas what is causing this?
