@@TaddyDigest You might also Want to recommend to home owner replace the drywall that’s damaged , remove Mickey Mouse storm collar & Just seal with White silicone. Probably has Mold on back side of damaged drywall & Spiders & such enter the house there.

I gave the customer the option they chose for me just to Seal it I would have replaced the boot been just as easy

I believe you are talking about Masterseal NP1. MP90 is porcelain and stone sealer. I had a commercial roofer teach me about putting a strip of butyl tape under the edge of the flashing and then NP1 over it. I’ve been doing it that way for probably 8-10 years now without any leaks.

I agree with what you're saying however I caught this at the end of the day and I told the customer They need to replace the Boot I gave them a price and they told me they weren't going to do it So I sealed it anyways with some silicone I did my best I guess I should have said that in the video If you're wondering why you should watch my channel don't watch my channel But I appreciate you watching

@@TaddyDigest word. I see what you're saying. My thoughts were someone doing a repair like that at my Grannies house. Had you said something about never actually do this a a permanent repair. If you need a week or 2 for better weather then properly repair it, that's fine I suppose. In your case maybe the homeowner acknowledged that fact and plans to do their own repair to save money, that's all good. The average weekend warrior watching this video and thinking they can go up with a tube of caulk and be like yup, it's fixed! Maybe do a follow up showing how to actually repair an instance of crumbled boot. I found your channel when working on a mini split. Dude, you have some killer content and you're obviously more knowledgeable than myself. Watching this flashing boot debacle... man I know you're more capable than what this video shows.
