I can't say because I don't have the PYD Life oven! Looking at the two models, I think the PYD life oven is smaller, so you wouldn't be able to do as many things at once. But it's also considerably cheaper, which is good! I do think people like both so you probably can't go wrong either way :)
Great overview of all the heat presses. Any suggestions on getting a good press on a 15 oz mug using infusible ink in the pyd life tumbler press? I’ve tried the suggested time/temp from the pyd manual and also varying time/temps/pressure and the mugs come out really light and most of the ink doesn’t transfer. Seriously frustrated! 😢
And you're using a sublimation printer, I assume? I wonder if there's a malfunction in how hot it's getting? I'd reach out to PYD to see about a replacement.
Great info. Q. Would know whats the difference between the PYD heat press you just reviewed (Amz $339) vs PYD heat press they have right now on their website for $279? So confuse. Also have you used that oven for other things than tumblers n mugs? (i.e. plates?) which you recommened? Jtrans or PYD oven? Thank you
I'm not sure about which $279 one you're talking about? (Is it the one with the box for the controls o the side? It would work the same just take up more horizontal space!). And I've used the oven for mugs, tumblers, wine tumblers, and shot glasses. I'm sure plates would work if you had the right shrink wrap! I can only speak for the JTrans oven-I really like it!
@@AtinaEstrella Without the actual links, my guess is the cheaper one has the box on the side, making it wider and thus bigger, and it only comes with one insert. The one I have (the more expensive one) has the control box integrated into the front, making it smaller, and came with two inserts.
