Title should be fixed. It should describe London as the current hub of English football because right now a lot of London teams dominate the top tiers of football. But it shouldn't say it's the home because, even though i'm a Londoner, that's completely false.

Big city and the American sports system moves franchises around to new cities across the country. Wimbledon moving to Milton Keynes caused an uproar and the formation of a new club. Location and identity plays a much more important role in British/European sports compared to America. And that's why you don't see teams move around and many clubs growing out of the same city, but often with different identities.

Even in 1965 when it became part of the GLC, its borough, Haringey, had power as wide as any provincial city and still does.London wide government only exists for Police, Fire, Ambulance, and public transport.
