Hi there, I am not the manufacturer so my answer is just my experience and judgement. As you know, as the gain goes up the loudness of the amp goes up, so the 'volume' control can be used to equalise the loudness between presets of different levels of gain. So when using presets at home your various gain levels can be kept to a sensible loudness level (compared to each other) and also at a home level (using the master volume control). Then when you take the amp to a gig you turn up the master volume and the presets are much louder, but the balance between them remains the same. The reverse is also true when you want presets to have different (comparative) loudness (e.g. for a solo boost). You cannot always use 'gain' for this as you may want a clean boost for the solo section and you can do that with the 'volume' knob in the preset. I hope that makes sense. By the way, I don't believe that the 'volume' control makes any difference to the tone - it just sets the level of the preset.

What a bunch of horse sh*t! There are so many names used multiple times. Plagiarism is a mighty stiff claim when you have no idea what the builder was thinking. Could it be “this amp is magical in it’s ability to morph sounds instantly” I think I’ll call it Wizard! Who knows? Certainly not you!
