That seems like a much better tow vehicle and crew carrier than a heavy duty pickup. That Paccar MX13 is smooth and quiet. Its at the tops of the over-the-road big four in fuel millage. I like that it can be registered as an RV not requiring a commercial license. It was good to see it can go down the highway at 75 mph just fine. Even without a trailer it takes it some time to get there. Most of these trucks are expected to drive for fuel economy staying around 60 mph.
If I had the $ I would buy this in a heartbeat! After my rollover accident I can no longer work due to being disabled, I would use this to pull a 5th wheel toy hauler. I miss driving my Peterbilt and this would certainly scratch that itch for sure! I looked on their website for this truck and couldn't find it must already be sold. It is by far the most bad ass tow rig for the guy that wants to tow with class.
You guys should look into offering the additional sound proofing packages on your trucks that you sell , l reckon that would be a very popular option with long haul drivers 👍
Wife & i will be doing an excursion across America in about 1.5-2 yrs.. We plan to spend a yr or so.. maybe longer.. This is what we are looking to pull a 5th wheel RV with.. Ive been checking ouy different set ups.. just didnt want to go w/ a dually truck.. When we drop the hammer to purchase.. wont be any payments.. We are debt free & want to enjoy afew yrs of traveling.. Thanks for posting.. really like the video 😊
very cool. Now that y'all have seen a 4-door pete, how about a 4-door 352 or 362? just grab your average paccar mx 13 truck, base interior, toss the cab and put an old cabover cab on it. does not even need to be a long wheelbase. i bet a 265 would be fine, use a daycab. from the 362 you need just the cab, hinges, linkages, etc. grab 2 for the 4-door conversion. that would be a really cool truck.
Some of my buddies have these exact same setups, they pull their horse trailers with them, not really a limo, more like a overgrown 4-door dually with a sleeper lol, my buddies is white with air ride so it sits bout an inch off the ground
That rig is frikkin cool, wish I could afford it {and the fuel}! I would prefer mine to have like a van conversion body on it all the way to the back wheels
Great video and a beautiful truck I would love one but the average RVer doesn’t have that kind of money. That’s way too much for that truck I can buy a fine class A for that kind of a price. It is a beautiful truck but not practical unless you’re rich or have a ton money. Anyway a great video.
i have question that i been building my project as 1982 ford motorhome as add peterbuilt semi sleep in and i took camp system off. so i did put semi sleeper connect to motorhome van cab. so later i plan to add flatbed behind semi sleeper. i have some problems. i figure to put semi sleeper's gasket as between semi sleeper and back of van cab. i will add above van cab for higher up to reach to cover semi sleeper opening. like between 8 inches to 12 inches higher. so i can stand up between seats as to walk toward semi sleeper.
Nice truck! Several years I sold trucks for a Freightliner in Toledo Oh. Dana Corp had a test track a couple of miles away. One of engineers stopped in one day and they a 4 door Freightliner cabover for sale. It had 4 captains seats in it ,it was nice, could have bought for $4,000 but my kids were little so the family came first! Like to have that right now! But I do have 362 Double sleeper Pete I want to stretch,I saw your stretched 362 on your video, could you give me info on where you got the frame rails? Love your videos! Appreciate a comeback.
Heck that would be so cool 😎 a 4dr cabover!! We just got the new trans in the 362 and will be doing some more regular videos on it soon. We used an airliner suspension and rails on the cabover.
If anybody didn't notice, this is not setup to pull a trailer with airbrakes, unless I missed the red trailer brake release. Please let me know, because all the rigs i have driven, the supply and emergency releases are right next to each other.
I can’t believe you guy didn’t think of Bands/Big name rapper/Record labels (I honestly thought that’s what it was for on the intro) That’s who will buy it in a heartbeat.. Who doesn’t want the ultimate Tour rig truck, parked next to there pimped out Super RV !!! This would be pennies to some of these guys that don’t like to fly (when they can avoid it) Now, what’s my cut 😂
