At 12:47 I was laughing on the floor. You know how many times we drove away from the RV parks with the trash in the car. That’s a good idea to leave it in the door. I've tried so many ways to remember the trash.....Sometimes it makes it all the way home.... We get water, dump and throw away trash at the state park near our property ($10.00).

@@HappilyEverHanks yes we use to go every year in the adirondaks near lake Placid for fly fishing, we also went to Mont Washington and also to Ogunquit. if that covid thing can go away... we want to do a big trip to the west cost to BC and come back by the USA. that woulb be almost full time rv life, at least for a couple of months! if you ever travel to Quebec let us know, maybe you could boondock at our place!

Oh yes, memories! Grew up in Colorado, camping up past Estes Park off road among the Aspens. It snowed tent camping in May. An ex convict tried to break into our tent and mom met him swiftly with the rifle. He ran off back up the mountain.

For your trash and anything else you want to remember to do, get some post it notes. White a note “Dump Trash”, “Dump Tanks”, “get Gas”. Put the post it note on the the speedometer so you can’t forget. Once your done with each item toss the post it note.

I had a terrible garage take me $4,000 and did soooo many things wrong and very few things right and didn’t do the things I wanted. They hooked up the batts wrong, and overfilled the trans fluid just to mention a few. They saw a single female and was like “ she dumb, we gonna take her for money”. It is such a priority to learn stuff about your rv and I live watching you guys work through stuff. 😃

This is so cool! The wife and I have been on the road since last October. I work remote and she is a traveling nurse. We both grew up in Lancaster County and the last trip we took before hitting the road in our camper was Locust Lake!

It's like a spray on wash and wax that has been really good at keeping it clean....I just have to actually get out and clean it (that's the hard part 😅)

Glad to hear that.we got into rving in 2016 we bought a 93 fleetwood tt 27ft we call " terry" a tree limb fell on it and wasn't notice for 10 mo.the previous owner didn't want to fix it so we bought it and fixed it up..all appliances work.we only camp local for now but we want to go see it all I ( jay) am a cancer survivor we travel with chico 13y chiweenie 3yr chloe g sheppard.and calypso 4yr tabby/ Siamese cat

I have to come to Ne Ne's defense. hehe The measuring stick was only upside down to you Carl. If Ne Ne would have rotated it 180 degrees and read it from her side it would be right side up. The only way to fix this is to write on both sides of the stick. hehehe

@@HappilyEverHanks oh yes. I still went up and swept. We were under the trees for 3 weeks and we had a little rain the morning I was going up to clean the roof. Wet leaves and dust. I am glad it was all on the topper and not getting brought into the rig when we retracted the slide.

Lithium is approaching the cost of AGM if you're ok with SOK or some of the other non-Battle Born options. You may need to go another couple hundred $ for the remote management system, but they last forever (give or take a decade).

Hershey is definitely worth the visit if you ever get the chance. They have some great history tours in "Chocolate World" that are fun. It's a nice part of the state 😊
Schuylkill. Except in Philly it's pronounced sure-kill. I didn't know you were from Pee-Ay! I've never been to Locust Lake, but Hickory Run, French Creek and Promised Land are nice. PA state parks are awesome!

@@HappilyEverHanks Our videos tend to run about six months behind but our adventures stay current. We love watching your channel it is very inspiring. We dropped Peyton off in Washington State back in August for College and she took Storm with her. I (Mary) have had a bit of a hard time adjusting to being an empty nester so I keep extremely busy. Since August We toured parts of Washington State, walked the beaches of Oregon, visited Yosemite, hiked high peaks at Pinnacles National Park, and are headed to Palm Springs.

#rvlifeFTW I've had to use a headlight a few times. Most stuff I can get done with the regular flashlight. You go through X number of dead batteries. And you end up pulling out all the bulbs on the cab lights. I got a neat drill at Harbor Freight the other day. It's a 12 volt drill and I can use tiny jumper cables to recharge the battery.

Yes it is. My uncle worked for The state of pa and helped build that lake before it was a state park !! It’s only about 40 minutes from where I live now. Small world
Hope this gets to you…. I have heard you guys talk about mesquites, well I know the best way to not get a mosquito bite, load up on Vitamin B 12!!! That’s the one that can give you the nasty burps at first… the mosquitoes don’t like the smell and they really don’t like the taste so they might still bother you but they won’t bite you they don’t especially don’t like the taste so load up on your Vitamin B12, this lesson was learned in Colorado, the mosquitoes are the size of a hummingbird and they go for your juggler, so the Vitamin B 12 trick was learned early

I kind of carry Halloween spookiness with me until February at least, so as I've been living here in my restoration project, I've been spending downtime listening to the State Park horror stories over on Lighthouse Horror's channel.
