Nice video. Is there a way to combine both Input 1 & Input 2 audio if using 2 separate mic's? When Input Select is set to IN1+IN2, input 1 only has audio on the left channel and input 2 only has audio on the right channel. If Input Select is set to IN1, input 1 plays on both left and right channels, but input 2 has no audio.
I want to plug sound from a mixer. I see at around 3:55 I have to choose Line Input level. What kind of cable do I use from the mixer ? XLR, 1/4 inch or RCA? Do I plug OUT or IN from the mixer ? Please post if anybody knows. Thank you!
Great video thanks. I'm moving from the XLR-K3M to this just because of the handle part. But i did notice this doesn't have the digital/analog switch at the back where the input select switch is. and when the H1 is plugged in, I no longer get the digital notification on my camera. so does this mean that the H1 is only an analog audio signal?
Do you have a recommendation on what microphone to go with the handle? I just got my fx30 with the handle, and since it is my first vidcam I am a bit lost! 😅
Quick Question, do you know what settings I need so I can hear Channel 1 and 2 when Im using 2 Sennheiser mics on a Sony FX-3? I can only hear whats coming into channell 1 withmy headphones while recording. Thanks and great video!
Check your headphone output settings on the camera and I think there's a spot you can adjust which channels. it may always do 1 to left and 2 to right though
Hi Adam, question on choosing the INPUT when I watch your clip at around 4:00 timeframe. I record live concert events with the stereo mic (Audio-Technica AT 8022), recorded on-air plugged to 3.5mm on a Canon camcorder. This mic is powered by a single AA battery. I love this mic. It can be converted to XLR. I'm quitting my old camcorder and upgrading to either FX30 or FX3. I still want to use this mic. What INPUT should I choose ? LINE, MIC or MIC+48 ? Love your watching your clips. Thank you for what you do!
hello. Thanks for the video. Im using a shotgun mic and i put the mic+48v on Input 1. But for my rode wireless go, should i put on line, mic or mic+48v? thanks
Ive noticed my camera battery drains way faster when using the audio top handle. Is there any way to prevent the audio handle from using the camera battery especially since the Sennheiser shotgun mic i use has a battery in it already??
You could turn phantom power off, but I'm not sure how much that would help. I've got a video coming out soon on the Neewer PS099E Battery and Smallrig V Mount Rig that I'v been using lately to help me not have to worry about battery drain.
