🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on RU-vid yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

I used to hate scrap blankets. I made one with two strands to yarn. A color and white and did a "from the middle" granny. When it was all done I loved it. In fact my daughter grabbed it when I was done and uses it all the time.Since then I've made about6 different scrap blankets. Some all different colors, one was squares of "beautiful Shells" in all shades of browns, beiges, tans and it came out very nice. The next one was all sizes of grannys fit together in all the shades of browns from earlier with a nice Eggshell border around groups of grannys and then around the entire blanket. I am working on a C2C moss stitch and just pulling colors out of my basket and using that one for a bit, then change again. No rhyme or reason to the color changes. I had a bunch of 1/2 skeins from other projects that weren't enough to make a whole blanket. In fact I was looking through my 4 Rubbermaid tubs where I store my yarn and I think I am going to start doing all scraps. Mixing and matching colors or shades of colors in order to use up a lot of the yarn I have (so I can buy more). I find scrap blankets are now among my favorites. In fact I might make a scrap of all baby colors since I have a bunch of leftovers from all the baby blankets I've made.

Thank you thank you thank you so much if it wasn't for you and your videos especially the stash buster blanket totally got me hooked. I finally finished my first large crochet project. And thank you so much for the advice in the videos. I am so much the indecisive personality who can't pick what color they want to use or what colors go together. I did it exactly as you said, it used up my whole stash of yarn, I didn't get hung up on the color choices. I grabbed some yarn my hooks pulled up the video hit play and started crocheting along with your video and as I was crocheting I was like oh my gosh what she said is so true and the blanket does get really really freaking heavy it's the heaviest blanket I think I've ever owned huge heavy and I use three strands. It turned out absolutely beautiful!! Now I'm confident in my crocheting skills. And it totally took my crocheting to the next level as well as when you're making this blanket you're not thinking about the colors you're putting together you just I just grab random colors and as I was going along that's when I started realizing oh my gosh these colors look absolutely beautiful together oh I definitely don't like these colors together. love ya thx again
