you dont have to add the bezel width. its correct that objects are hidden behind the bezel. and also the FOV slider is set wrong. the tooltip says that 0 ingame is 18° and 100 is 68°. so you have to calculate what slider-setting is the 34°.
If my math is correct, each “degree” is represented by an increase of 2 on the slider. So you’d take the number from Modern FOV, subtract that by 18 as the base value, then multiply that by 2 and that’s the number of your FOV. That makes sense why mine is close close, because that comes out to 32 on the slider for me
@@moddok interesting! I really like it personally, I’m all about immersion, I also use VR but I like triples for the sake of still feeling connected to the world 😅
thanks for the answers, can you pls help out how we can calculate that? I will be trying ResizeRacoon, will racoon and do the bezel correction automatically line runtimeEditor?
fyi, the scale on the fov slider in-game isn't actual... the scale is from 18 to 68 degrees, so setting to 34, you're not getting 34 degrees fov. Pretty close, but anyway, odd they chose to do the fov UI this way, but ya.
As soon as you started diving i saw it stutter a couple times. One was really noticable. Unless my eyes were tricking me. I did the triple settings through nvidia and was stuttering like crazy even on medium settings with ryzen 9 and 2070 super. I was getting decent frames, in the 80s bit stuttering like crazy. 1 monitor im back to 110fps on mixture of high and ultra settings. I think the stuttering is more an optimization issue that a hardeare/graphics one.
Ya that was on the OG build, however since updates the stuttering is mostly gone. There was one setting (I don't remember which now) that I changed that got rid of all of it immediately, and now I play WRC on triples daily with no issue. Jump in my stream and I will try to find that graphic setting for you 🫡
Your FOV is incorrect. The game runs from 18 degrees vFOV when set to 0 up to 68 degrees vFOV when set to 100. It clearly says that on the right hand side. So setting it to 34 isn’t 34 degrees vFOV. 34 is 17 degrees vFOV in-game.
Honestly, IMO neither. Resize Raccoon is even better than both for WRC, it's SO easy! I'll have to upload a tutorial on that one as well sometime soon, but for now give it a google and check it out. It's so easy and even more effective than SWRE
Actually I don't have any kind of issues with nvidia surround so war. Just curious that is resize racoon give me some different cockpit look compare to surround ? Or it does exactly the same look.
@@henryrebane1481 Does the same thing, but IMO better, easier, and with less hassle. Just a simple program you run in the background that autolaunches whatever programs you want in triples view, but only those ones. That way if you use your PC for anything beyond triple monitor sim racing, it's a super simple setup
I 've bound the seat movement keys as you have. I go into car during a race and I press the keys but nothing happens ... the seat just doesn't move ! What am I doing wrong ?? I need to adjust the view but cant !
Make sure youre on head camera. There are 2 in cockpit camera views, one is like a stock cockpit and the other is head (hard to tell the difference if you don’t adjust head)
It definitely might, worth giving a try! Just tweak to that aspect ratio, since you have 2x a normal widescreen 16:9, instead of multiplying your resolution width by 3, try multiplying by 2
@@Nothing2NV that’s correct, that’s part of it sadly. You can also try a program called Resize Raccoon, easier program that does the same thing. But ya you’ll always have to run it sadly
That’s correct! It’s a personal preference, some people like it on but since I stream that over the shoulder POV, it feels redundant to have it. I also see people use it though to help line up the view with their seat height
@@Simuhito you should be able to, like I said you just change camera views first as if you’re switching from hood to 3rd person and all the in between, and one of the ones in the cockpit is head cam
You might be on the wrong camera (this is really dumb I know) there are 2 “cockpit” looking cameras, cycle through the camera angles until you get the right one
I spent maybe 8-10 hours trying to get AMD eyefinity to work on my 6900xt at 4k, it just will not fire up the screens at triple 4k resolution, I did get triples up starting at 1920x1080 @ 60hz but AMD defaults to 12228x2160 @24hz with eyefinity but I don't think this was true resolution with borderless windowed even though the game says in basic graphics it was 12228. This SRWE however makes the best of a bad job by EA for not optimizing the game, but it annoys me that I have 4k quality available to me but I'm having to play at 1080p. Roll on the VR update so I can get back to real immersion. I tried the github version but after unzipping it I couldn't find a way to run it. I downloaded it from somewhere else, and that I was able to use.
Man that sucks, ya it’s one of those making the best of a bad situation. For sure. I hope that update comes soon, they say future triple support as well so maybe there is hope for native support?
Hey, sorry to bother you. Can you confirm that once applied to the game and stretched across the 3 screens that the selected resolution is the actual resolution the game is playing in? I did some tweaks today in Display settings, I realised since the upgrade from a 1080TI PC to this new build with 6900xt that I hadn't bothered with setting other resolutions in display settings. My pc now after some tweaks is firing up in 3840x2160 at 60hz. So I figured lets try this program again, I fired up the game then set 11520x2160 in SRWE and the game stretched out across all three screens and look pin sharp, really looks to be a 4k picture now instead of the blurry/fluffy 1020x1080 I had yesterday. Am I truly playing at 4k? Getting a little under 60 fps at high preset in graphics.
Oh it's crystal clear now and the draw distance is amazing. I'm just testing on a short stage in Greece ling hill into hairpin left you can see the corner from 200 yards away clear as anything. The physics feel great, I took a Ford Focus WRCar like a 2004 the progression of grip through corner putting on the gas and feeling the steering wheel tightened up as the power feeds in. I had maybe 1200 hours in Dirt 2.0 I don't remember smiling or laughing to myself through stages like this.
@@trevorjlewis HELL YES! Dude I’m glad you love it and happy my video helped too :) everyone deserves to experience the pure bliss that this game is, I’m playing it nonstop 😅 come find me on Twitch and join an open lobby sometime! We race together every week :D
@@punjew I'm using SRWE. Medium all over the board, but graphic settings do not change the issue at all. It's really weird because I can't find anyone else that has this problem.
How much?? And what resolution are you on natively? The only time that’s happened was when I did full screen rather than borderless, if you’ve got 16 x 9 ratio it shouldn’t stretch, if it does only hardly
Side screens will always stretch unless EA will implement proper triple screen support that allows to adjust side monitor angles, bezel thickness and monitor measurements. Using SRWE or Nvidia Surround can give you some decent results, but nothing like you would achieve on iRacing, ACC etc.
@@danieldulberg2167 you are correct, but for WRC specifically, idk why but SRWE if it is stretching is so minimal I genuinely can’t tell. And I play a lot of iRacing 😅
@@punjew for me on triple 27" it stretches a lot, and when it doesn't the sense of speed and the dimensions feel totally incorrect :D. But using the bonnet cam makes it acceptable for me.
Hmm?? Can you reference a time for this? I don’t remember that 😅 could have been a weird way of me translating something, but for sure 1 pixel is not 1mm
